Happy for him. He's been criticized immensely, Emery and co have had easier rides than him and he's outperformed them. Congrats on the first trophy

https://metro.co.uk/2019/05/10/maurizio-sarri-disappointed-slowly-chelsea-adapted-style-9495683/ https://www.calciomercato24.com/2019/05/10/chelsea-sarri-giocare-tanto-mi-arrapa-qui-e-diverso-rispetto-a-napoli/ Google Translate: Sarri: "Here I play and get angry" Maurizio Sarri spoke on Sky Sport microphones after Chelsea-Eintracht. Here are his words: "It was difficult to win, the game didn't go the right way and things went in a somewhat complicated way. Neutral spectators will certainly have enjoyed this race, but we have suffered and quite a lot. Europa League and Champions League finals all English? The level of the Premier is too high, if they eliminated one of the two national cups. What has freaked me since I play here? England is a new world, some things you have to drop and others you have to change. I'm sorry to play all these games, but in the end they are getting horny. For them they go into trouble with the standard week compared to when they have 2 or 3 games in a week. Chelsea not as beautiful as my Naples? We have more players doing individual things and less system players. "

I pray we somehow win the Europa League, get that trophyless count off his back. And next season with a proper pre-season, he can properly implement his style of play. This slow, sluggish lack of movement and lack of players attacking the box style won't cut it anymore next season.

Damn it FFS!

This guy is the best No. 8 we have in the squad. 5 goals in 2 Premier league starts. Barkley and Kovacic combined have 4 goals in 31 premier league starts. Sarri is just a crazy man not to be starting RLC more in the Hamsik role.

Stayed wide and stretched the play like Leroy Sane. Got into one on one situations, beat his man and put good crosses in. His style of play is what helped us immensely with beating the parked bus by not crowding the middle of the pitch. By far better than willian

Kristof Terreur to Hazard: "I have a friend who's played in the PL for 7 years now. At a club that plays in blue. He's won everything & is ready for a new challenge. He's now in the interest of another club, one in white. What would you recommend?" Hazard: "Buy him a white shirt.” https://www.hln.be/sport/voetbal/buitenlands-voetbal/nu-nog-neen-straks-een-deal-chelsea-weigert-eerste-bod-van-real-voor-eden-hazard~ab8cf1e4/

I've made my peace with the fact that we are a pragmatic football club and only pragmatic managers who adapt defensively to opposition can succeed here. No Klopp/Pochettino magic can work in Chelsea FC.
-
Yeah probably, if Sarri leaves, at least he'll leave a legacy in our club of being able to pass out from the back. But we cannot score goals except in europa league when Hazard doesn't play. There is no point of claiming to play attacking football, when we cant score goals.
-
We have no choice. Chelsea football Club cannot play high pressing attacking football. Every manager that tries it gets burned, so let us stop deceiving ourselves and get a Simione/Allegri type of manager. The moment we missed out on Guardiola, we missed out on ever playing attacking football at this club. I have made my peace with that, so defensive, counterattacking football is the only way to go.

And now his watch is ended

Fantastic player. An absolute gem, our own yaya toure.

Rudiger on Sarri, Kepa, & Jorginho Rudiger's recent quotes really sound like he's future captain material. Thought these would be of interest. On Sarri: "I think everyone has adapted to new things — also the coach. You saw the way we played against Tottenham and Manchester City [in the past week]? It was different to the way we played in the first three months." “Everyone needs to adapt. Have we found a good balance of how to play? Definitely. In life, you need to adapt to things. This League is different to Italy, you have to adjust a bit.” When asked if it has been a learning curve for Sarri, Rudiger said: “Of course. He learned from that game against City. There we went high, we went to press, we wanted to win the ball and everyone knows what happened." “We can play both [styles]. But it is always good to find the golden middle. It depends on the coach. He gives the tactics and the players follow.” “It is good to know we have things in our own hands “We started with the win against Tottenham and now we have beaten Fulham. We want to continue like this. It’s not important to speak about other clubs. We need to look at own house and get our own things solved.” On Kepa: "Of course what happened (in the EFL Cup Final) was sad. He made a mistake, he said ‘sorry’ and this thing is now in the past and that’s good, especially with performances like this it’s very good. He gained the trust back. He definitely showed his quality. The goal we conceded, he couldn’t do anything about that, but in the rest of the game he saved us. That’s why we have him.” On Jorginho: "The thing about him is that people need to give him a bit of time. He also came from a different competition, he is probably not used to this hard game. You also need to adapt." All quotes reported by Simon Johnson

legend, what a player

I think these players need to be consulted to choose the coach they want

[Matt Law] Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea fate hanging on crucial fortnight with Italian under pressure to win Europa League https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/02/11/maurizio-sarris-chelsea-fate-hanging-crucial-fortnight-italian/ "Having started so well under the latest head coach, Chelsea players have become bored by Sarri’s rigid training methods and overwhelmed by the tactical information he has tried to instil in them over recent weeks. His preference to start most of his training sessions at 3pm has also been unpopular with a number of players, who had become used to earlier routines under previous managers. But the players were called in during the morning on Monday." After we tried a counter attacking coach in Conte and now a Possession coach in Sarri, I think we need a new coach who can pamper these players so that they wont get angry.
-
My main problem is if Conte (one of the best counter attacking managers in the world) and Sarri (one of the best attacking philosophy in Napoli) is finding it hard to implement their tactics with these chelsea players, then who do we hire? They complained that conte is too defensive and now Sarri has too much tactics we probably need a soft coach to pamper the players till they love him

When Chelsea approached Guardiola to become their manager 3 years ago he told Abramovich he would need 10 new players to implement his style of football. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3364439/Pep-Guardiola-tells-Chelsea-need-10-new-players-Roman-Abramovich-scare-potential-candidates-following-Jose-Mourinho-sacking.html Maybe we could be finally ready to back the new manager and trust him with his style of football, before the players turn on him

'Some players have privately started to complain that everything is “too tactical” and that there is now an overload of instructions that they can’t keep up with. Others wonder whether this squad is actually tactically intelligent enough to really learn this'. (Miguel Delaney, Independent) https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/manchester-city-chelsea-fc-result-final-score-goals-maurizio-sarri-job-next-a8773131.html I think we need a new manager that doesn't do too much tactics so that our players can cope. Too much tactics is not good for the players, a new, preferably defensive manager is needed so that they can understand and move forward. /s

Alonso and his poor decision making. Hazard is available in the open space and yet he decides to play a wasteful cross in the central zone
