Cesc turned out to be a good finisher when he was tried there. We dont know if Hazard can finish well or not until we try him there. -
Yep i agree Moses is strong physically and he needs to start
-
This guy needs to be a starter alongside Luiz

Yeah i guess your right i really did not know Arsenal's record against Stoke was that poor. But i really still think this would work you already see that our opposition cant handle Hazard. -

Well people at Barcelona would also say that its madness to play the false #9 tactic before it was even tried. Hey if Fabregas who is a slow CM can be a false #9 for Spain then i am absolutely sure that Hazard would be a much better false #9 because he has got way more attacking abilities than Fabregas. And i really do believe that this tactic would work because it has so much pace in it and the movement of every midfielder is great + Hazard proved that he can score goals in Lille. Stoke and Westham etc would actually struggle, because they would not handle the pace. You always see Stoke and other physically strong teams in the EPL struggle with Arsenal you know why? Because Arsenal plays tiki taka football and they cant handle the movement, the pace, the dribbling and the passing etc. I for one think this would be a great tactic and we would be a force. And it would make Hazard an even better/more complete player. -

Yeh? Didn't know they had an article about this. I agree and Guardiola would be perfect but i respect RDM and i hope he does good -
Can we play with a like Barcelona with a false #9? With Hazard being our false #9 we can IMHO. He (Hazard) has some of the same strengths as Messi : He has great balance, great dribbling, great passing. But one thing that we have not seen from Hazard is his shooting, can Hazard shoot the ball with power out of the 16m box like some of the European greats? Well in Lille he has shown that he can here are 2 clips: Here is how false #9 system works : The False 9, in some ways, similar to a more advanced attacking midfielder/playmaker role, is an unconventional lone striker or centre-forward, who drops deep into midfield. The purpose of this is that it creates a problem for opposing center backs who can either follow him, leaving space behind them for onrushing midfielders, forwards or wingers to exploit, or leaving him have time and space to dribble or pick out a pass. Key attributes for a False 9 are similar to those of a deep lying striker, dribbling ability to take advantage of space between the lines, good short passing ability to link up with the midfield and vision to play through team-mates making runs from deep. One of the first examples of a False 9 system is Roma under Spalletti who used Totti, nominally a trequartista, up-front in an innovative "4-6-0" formation, this was met with a run of 11 consecutive victories. Messi was often famously used as a false 9 under Guardiola at Barcelona .Arsenal under Wenger utilised van Persie as a False 9, often partnering with Walcott who would move into the box from the flanks, in a false 4-2-3-1. At Euro 2012, Spain manager Del Bosque, although sometimes using a typical striker in Torres, used a false 9 in Fabregas in several matches, including the final. Here is how we can utilize the false #9 with 4-3-3 formation like Barcelona : Here you can see our players being similar to the Barcelona players as they have the same kind of qualities, i am not comparing these players ofcourse but they have the same strengths. You can start off by seeing Hazard as our false 9 he is our best attacking player in my opinion. He has the best ''attacking'' qualities in the club well thats what i think. The players in this formation can perform Barcelona's tactic but again it is not easy. Here are the list of players that can be compared to Barca's players : Hazard is our Messi (Ofcourse Messi is miles better but Hazard can be a false #9 like him) Mata can be our Iniesta Moses can be our Sanchez/Pedro because he can dribble good and pass good and he also is a good finisher like both of them. Oscar can be our Xavi Romeu can be our Busquets Ramires is comparable to nobody in Barca but he can keep the balance between attack and defence very good. Cole is ofcourse better than Alba so no point in saying ''he can be our Alba'' Cahill can be our Puyol/Pique Luiz can be our Puyol/Pique Azpilicueta can be our Dani Alves as he has many attacking qualities and IMHO thats what Chelsea needed in a rightback for a long time. Well obviously Cech>Valdes I made this thread because in my opinion Torres is finished and this kind of idea may well workout. So their you go this is what i had in mind so yeh i am looking forward to what you guys are thinking.

Would be a waste of talent. We already have Romeu who can boss the DM position.
-
We are looking like AC Milan lol
-
Why not Moses? He played as a CF for Wigan in many matches and he was a CF in Crystal Palace.
-
Well i don't care how we score, but the reason of these goals are because of Torres we dont have a striker. So basically in my eyes we are playing with 10 men, thats why we score these kind of goals,
-
My line-up : --------------Moses--------------- ------Hazard-Mata-Marin------- ---------Romeu-Ramires------- --Bertrand-Cahill-Luiz-Azpi---- -------------Cech-----------------
-
Never understood why he was benched in the first place. He has much better movement than Mikel. I never saw Romeu make misplaced passes whenever this guy plays he keeps possesion and he is a very good tackler too he should start for us imo.
-
LOL howmany goals has Danny scored as a winger? And he still warms the bench for Torres.
-
Its good to see that almost all Chelsea fans in this forum agree with me.
-
Thats the only thing Torres can do. He can run thats it. Other top European club fans are laughing at us for basically still trusting this guy. If he was at Madrid/Barca/UTD/City etc he would sit on the bench after half a month and yet here we are after 2 YEARS. I am a fan of the club not Torres i showed him support for 2 years but dude its enough man.
-
When are we going to see him play i don't want to see another talent getting destroyed. He was so highly rated at Marseille he is the rightback we need and if we start him he may prove himself. He provides excellent crosses,he has great movement and he can defend good aswell he is basically like Cole.
-
If he starts vs Stoke them i would be lost for words. If Sturridge is injured start then i would even prefer Moses over him. Because with Torres we are basically played with 10 men.
-
LOL Ramos is way better than Luiz , Ramos was the best defender in the Euro's. But i don't want him here as he is too expensive and we need a striker more than a defender. We need to bring Kalas and Bruma back from loan if we are so desperate. We need to make great players not buy them like always. FFP is taking action you know.
-
He has changed he used to be one of the best if not the best but you can see that he is not motivated enough as he has already won the UCL. People get old man thats it. He is one of my fav players alongside Lampard and Drogba but you have to admit that he has changed.
-
But whats going to happen to Cahill if we buy an expensive highly rated defender?
