This loss must be Mikels fault or luiz? Haha chelsea became shit team after we started playing players out of position e.g lampard in DM when mikel has played in that position through out his chelsea career and like it or not with success too and over supporting uncommitted players like torres who is wise enough to know he can shine against smaller teams and avoid being dropped. I remember when mourinho would bench joe cole for 3 games just for poor finishing now that enacted discipline in front of goal bcoz joe cole became one of our best finishers. Things learned- Hazard should learn to score one on ones. Moses at least is committed but still growing. The balance Oscar brings to the team is underrated. Mata = chelsea now. Lampard should never be played out of position esp. not in a final or at age 34. Ramires plays well only in the new year. We shuld by all means keep ashley cole. Benitez chelsea play for only 60 minutes of any challenging game then they loose.

<blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="edetarod" data-cid="561641" data-time="1355404981">
very poor game by him today

Yet he set up our first goal along with ashley cole and worked hard in midfield and created a decent chance for luiz. By your standards luiz must have had a terrible game and only mata and torres played well because they scored. WTF

To turn a brazilian no.10 into a pivot player that means he will automatically loose his jersey in brazil squad never has oscar been played in the pivot what I've seen is oscar playing CM and AM so I don't know where you guys have seen oscar play in the pivot.

All this sturridge hype is getting irritating he isn't even in among our first 11 choice players. He should feel privileged playing for chelsea. If his heart isn't here then he should just leave we've lost better players crespo robben etc so it wouldn't bother me and might even mean we will sign an experienced world class striker. Tbh he will never be a chelsea starting no.9 so if he is after regular football he has to go somewhere else but other wise he just has to accept the "Kalou" role in chelsea. Things might have been different if he totally developed himself as a winger which is where his talent lies.

Fellaini just scored again. Sign him roman
-
Lampard at 34 is experienced but overrated and doesn't make our first team for me but could be an important bit part player under benitez in vital games.

Hmmmn this forum AGAIN!!!

Lampard is an old man and oscar should be judged only after he has left the club(like drogba). Keep sucking the cock of our legends and we will never have new legends to enjoy. Same for rafa after RDM.

Ambition to win trophies and/or provide good brand of football is enough respect for me as a fan so i know not what this thread is really about. Why don't you just protest and forcefully get roman to sell this club to bates who he bought it from so we can higher mid table coaches and by luck win the capital one cup for glory once in every 5 fucking years. I've had enough of this rubbish sentiments that are not in truth for the realistic best interest of the club but for individuals. What if rdm left by mutual consent as mourinho did with inter will we be having this conversation? Roman is really under appreciated.

Very likely but won't be surprised to see luiz

On the first he meant torres's perfomance in training under him was good but on the latter he meant previous performances in games under RDM. At least he has a bad opinion of torres prior RDM never said anything bad about torres but we all know.

Benitez said that although he is prepared to sit down with the club and discuss possible new signings if necessary, he understands his role to be mostly getting the best out of the existing squad. The style of play will be his decision. 'Today I spoke to the players and everything was fine - the intensity was there and I spoke to them about ideas and I saw no problems. 'I know everybody will be talking about Fernando Torres and today I was talking with him like I was talking with the other players and his attitude was good. 'Everybody has been talking about he was not doing well and I was the same because I was watching games and his attitude was really poor, and today it was the same as all the others. 'The players have trained really well and I am sure that with this attitude, they will improve and I think that with the players and staff together, we can win important things for the club.' Well if this doesn't win you over at least for mancity's game then your heart must be made of STONE. He even criticised torres calling his attitude REALLY POOR and is prepared to sit with the board and make necessary signings. This is something RDM lacked, BALLS (RDM never criticised torres)

I pray you stop being a chelsea fan from now onwards because failure for benitez means failure for our club.

http://m.goal.com/x/en/news/3546992 Accusations of failure at Liverpool are a falsehood worth dispelling with alacrity. Without the Reds ever matching the financial power of Europe’s biggest clubs during his five-year spell on Merseyside, Benitez led them to two Champions League finals - winning one - and mounted Liverpool’s closest challenge for the Premier League title in history.

I love how abramovic places chelsea(results) above everything else; loyalty, fans, and even his own pocket(money) that's really martyr-like and that makes most clubs envious and jealous of us. He has shown this by appointing benitez out of necessity despite all other odds and has done it in the best interest of the club. Chelsea fc 4 life.

Romeu is really underrated in this forum as a deep lying player I wonder why? Yet he is a squad player for chelsea and overrated josh and KDB are not. Benitez doesn't play possession based football so I guess mikel is out. Romeu is talented enough to be as good as alonso. I believe romeu will play alongside ramires in the pivot. For those that want oscar to play dp it will never happen because we don't play the same system with juventus also the pivot is romeu's natural position if not him then mikel or luiz at the very least.

It is disappointing that the only ambitious chelsea fan is Roman abramovic. Wake up guys under RDM we are on the brink of Ucl group stage elimination since over a decade and top 4 is no guarantee. It was the right decision to sack RDM emotions apart. We all wished it worked well for him this season but loosing 3-0 to juve and 4-1 to athletico is unlike chelsea and we've not even met barca yet. BEST WISHES TO RAFA

Knowing a bit about rafa benitez and how he likes a hard working and aggressive team I will predict this as his first chelsea line up in his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation. ------------cech----------- --Azpi---iva---cahill---cole--- ------romeu------ramires---- Moses-------oscar--------Hazard(mata-sub) ------------Torres-------------
-
There are some things I actually like about rafa benitez. His teams play high energy football like madrid and he tends to make them hard workers. However I don't think he is a League material he can't bring us the EPL because he had better players at liverpool than we have now but never delivered the league to them. I really don't know what to expect from him. I just wished RDM did not hit the slump.
-
RDM's last words: "While there is hope you still try and who says Juventus are not going to lose to Shakhtar Donetsk. We just have to make sure we win our last game and 10 points is usually enough. Sometimes it is not but many times it is enough to qualify."
-
So far as I know it is the job of the board and Roman to go beyond mere human feelings and emotions to do what's good for chelsea and as far as I am concerned they have never failed. Rdm is always a chelsea legend he was given the opportunity this season but let himself and the club down by putting his trust in torres especially When he had all the money and time to sign a striker (which he didn't and it ultimately cost him). If clubs where ruled by past history arsenal will be winning trophies but they are not. I am PROUD to be a fan of a club that thinks of the present first and then the future and also have the balls to back their ambitions somethin Rdm lacked with the torres situation until last which turned into confusion and conundrum for him as he ran out of concrete ideas.
-
So Rdm has been fired. Tough luck I really loved him.
