Some positive words from the big man. Was interesting him playing Essien at RB when Ferreira was available today. Could we see Essien playing RB against Portsmouth with Bosingwa possibly out? The rest of the defence picks itself. Midfield, he seems intent on pairing Deco with Lampard. From there on its pot luck who he picks. Theres that many options available it would be practically impossible to second guess him.

That reminds me.......Whats the current total for games unbeaten at SB now ? I couldnt give a toss really, just something the media will hype up over the coming weeks I'm sure.

All right mate Good to have you back, Did you make many friends with that clip I linked you to a while back?

Pizarro can F*ck off as far as I'm concerned. Shouldnt have got anywhere near the club in the first place. SWP I feel tries too hard to make things happen, He knows what he can do and so do the fans....maybe thats why we've been patient with him, but 4 years of trying too hard hasn't got him any further than when he first signed. He could have left and went to another team to reignite his career, but he's stuck at it....fair play to him, He's obviously a confidence player, and thats one thing he's seriously lacking. Things he done while at Citeh came naturally to him, but here its just not happening. Taxi for Wright-Phillips..............

These gmes are about gradually building up the players fitness and getting them to know the new players game. Also Scolari needs to look and see what he's got and what changes he'll need to make when necessary once the season starts. Remember.......they're called Pre-season "friendlies"....its a kick about really with no real importance only to get players ready for a new season. It wasnt as easy as the other 2 games, but at least its another step towards being ready.

Welcome to the forum.

He should take heed of his own words and STFU

Thats been against weaker opposition, but you still have to beat whats in front of you. These next few weeks of pre-season will be important to see if the current strikeforce will be capable of delivering the goals we need if Drogba decides to move on. I dont feel that confident though that we could rely on them every week. Both Anelka and Kalou were inconsistent in front of goal last season and Di Santo, as good as he looks is still learning, so it would be hard to expect him to score the goals we need to challenge for honours.

Mourinho made Chelsea a big club

True, but Jose also purchased some duds I dont think Scolari will be around long enough for us to be considered a proper massive club. We're well on our way to that target, but his track record in management tells you he'll be here several years before moving on. -
Theres only been a whisper about him possibly joining Barca, but I dont think anything will come of that tbh. If he gets his finger out and gives everything he'll get the "booing" section off his back soon enough. I'll admit I've been critical of him, but we're definately a better team with him when he wants to be the Dider Drogba we know he can be

Yeah...thats fixed it

If a Winger is to be sold - who should it be?

On current form I'd keep Malouda and get rid of SWP. Several weeks ago I'd have got rid of both of them, but Malouda has started off this season really strong. He's had 2 good performances under his belt already and his confidence will be soaring. SWP on the other hand has failed to deliver time and time again. Even against Ghengdu Blades the other day, he was virtually anonymous, OK he layed on Anelka for the first, but a player with SWP's "ability" should be tearing teams like that in half. Look at the effect Joe Cole had when he came on.....says enough really. SWP will only be a bit part player, and he hasnt got the impact to come on and change games no matter what his daddy says -
Just noticed this today..... Dunno if its my computer, cause I had some problems before with the layout of the forum and had to upgrade something Other than that...forums fine, just a bit slow at times, but thats natural, everywheres the same. Give it a few weeks and it'll be buzzing as normal

Another goal today and another impressive performance. The more I see of him the more I like him. His movement off the ball was excellent, creating space for others. Seems to have a good footballing head on him. Shocking miss though

They'll be on SSN later I expect

Easy Tiger These two teams we played are about conference level at best. The next few games against the likes of Milan will give us a better idea how things are gonna go. I'm not getting carried away. A good thing is the chances we're creating, albeit against lesser opposition. We'll get a proper test soon enough before we kick the season off agianst Pompey
-
That was the only way he was gonna score
-
Nice work out for the team. 7-0 was a fair relection of the match, although it could have been a bucketfull more. Nice to see Joe Cole back in the team and scoring. Malouda looked good when he came on and Di Santo at the end........he couldnt do that again if he tried.
-
Did I see right......? Has this Chinese team brought on a guy called Daniel - son
-
Just thought I'd give those who dont have access to the links an insight into whats going on I'll hold back till the end of the match then if it keeps you happy
-
Very very comfortable first half. Di Santo could well get on in the second half and get a few against this team. SWP will probably come off. He hasnt really had an impact in the game apart from the through ball for Anelka to get the first. Goals goals goals......thats what I want in the second half
-
3-0 Lampard. Cut back from Kalou, falls to Lampard and he smashes it into the empty net
-
Goal ruled offside for Anelka..... Kalou should have just thumped that instead of being so cute by passing to Anelka
-
2-0 Kalou Cut through them again......this could get to a cricket score
