  1. Jose was more into playing as a unit instead of having individual magicians. He wanted every player to fight for the other. The best example of that was when we beat Liverpool a few years back near the start of his reign 1-0 and Joe Cole scored the winner. When interviewed after the game Jose was asked about Joe Cole and how he must be delighted with his perfromance.Jose slated him there and then saying he didnt track back and do what he was told to do on the pitch. Next game Joe Cole was back on the bench. We saw Joe Cole become a more complete player under Jose and solve the left sided problem for England in the process. Now Joe Cole is prefering his role under Grant where he can be more creative and play the way he wants to. As much as I love Joe Cole he has yet to blow me away this season with his dazzling skills I know he posesses. For me this is still the team that Jose built, and Grant is chipping away at it with his constant digs as if to big himself up. We know he wants "sexy football", but until he starts to get players in who he sees fit to make us play that way or miraculouslly turn them into The football equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters overnight, the jury is still out on him.
  2. I cant see them going down the foreign manager route after the Vogts shambles.Definately be a Scottish manager. The big names will almost certainly turn it down...Ferguson, Moyes and Strachan.Isnt Billy Davies available
  3. Arse, bollocks, fuck, shite ,cunt, twat................................. Apologies
  4. Daily mail FFS, talk about double standards
  5. This is what I see, and what I'm going on about
  6. Just a thought, but if this was done in white it may stand out more, currently its in black and its a bit hard to see.The same applies to the time on the top right
  7. I'm sure Lampard will get a special welcome from the West Ham faithful Hope we stuff these twats
  8. They had Ronaldo and Rooney missing from their side against Bolton and they looked ordinary. They still havent the depth that we have in our squad. We seen the difference in Chelsea without Lampard and Drogba in the team. I think someone mentioned on hte CFC site that between them they scored 85% of our goals last season (dont quote me on that). Without both in our side we did get by but looked like something was missing. Having Lamps back is a huge boost and the time off he's had seems to have given him a chance to recharge his batteries. Before his recent lay off I believe he's only missed about 6 or so games in the past 4/5 seasons. Thats phenomenal. As for Drogba, I dont think we have anyone who can really step in and do the job he does, when he's missing we should try to play differently to suit the other strikers qualities. The ACON will have a big bearing on our season, wether we get by in Drogbas absence I dont know, but we need Pizarro and Sheva to step up to the plate and make a name for themselves at Chelsea.
  9. I remember watching this game in the pub with my cousin, we were the only Chelsea fans in there and it was full of Liverpool supporters. Even watching it back it still gave me goosebumps, especially when Zola scored the equaliser.Classic Chelsea ....... Sexy football
  10. Arsenal (a), Blackburn (a), Aston Villa (h) and Newcastle (h) over the X-Mas period.Bar the Newcastle game we've a tough schedule ahead of us. If we got 10 points out of those 12 I'd be happy. Villa are a bit of a bogey team for us, and Blackburn are improving all hte time, but a win away to the Goners is essential if we are to get anywhere near the title this season.I still think the title is a long shot, but C/L qualification is the target for me realistically
  11. He's been a pretty solid defender for us, the odd slip up but thats natural. He had a bit of a dodgy time last season, but when he's been in the team this season he's been a steady performer.Nice option to have
  12. The only thing going in Essiens favour is the fact that Kenny Miller didnt go down like a bag of spuds after the contact had been made.Arms raised.....no arguement
