Add to that the endless reports linking us to Kaka and Mr Ed
-
When was this?
-
Many teams have been linked with Defoe in the past and he's stated more times that enough that he's happy at Spurs.I dont see him as the prolific scorer that we need.
-
We were close to a deal with Pato, who would have fallen into the same bracket as this kid. So I'm sure the club already have all the right avenues covered incase we make a serious bid.
-
There we go, He signed a new deal before the FA Cup final at the end of last season
-
Defo, Give him a few years and he'll be hitting his prime. Ideal time to get him really.
-
I wouldnt say easily. I dont think theres another striker in Europe who would be in the same bracket as Drogba atm. Huntelaar is a different type of player all together. From what I know he's more of a box player/poacher who would do well considering the amount of chances we would create for him.
-
There are always ways around these issues.Dont many Brazilians take up a Portuguese passport to gain their right to play in Europe.???If so we can get this sorted and play him on loan to gain more experience and develop, ie...PSV (like Alex)
-
Out of those mentioned I think Klose would be the better signing imo, although Huntelaar seems more likely to happen with all the noise surrounding him and our Dutch contacts
-
The best ever attempted signing was that of Didier Baptiste to Liverpool. You know, the guy off Sky Ones Dream Team.Houuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuulier.Makes me laugh. What a muppet he must have felt . Anyway, back on topic......10million tops for this lad. We've spent too much on players in the past. Its not as if he's a well known talent in world football

Couldnt agree more

Hows that

Actually its Bournemouth ( loan )

I still think he's a class act. He doesnt bomb up and down the pitch and can read the game better than any other player I have seen. If his brain is still working he can still do a job, his reading of the game still gives him an edge over many players, doesnt matter how quick they are. Just realised, I thought this was the Makalele thread -
I still think Drogbas future will depend on what happens with JM.If he gets a job this summer in club management I can see Drogba being targeted.
-
He's playing, he's not playing Time will tell. IF he's ready to play there'll be no holding him back. Just hope if he does play it'll not have a negative effect on his injury. The last thing we need atm is another injury
-
It would bee funnier to see Scotland and Northern Ireland at a major tournament and England at home crying into their Stella
-
It'll probably give the fans who........"dislike"........... Grant more fuel. Giving the OK for JT to play will be on his and the Chelsea medical staffs heads.

Oh, I thought we were gonna get onto and.Ireland now Sir David Healy

I'd rather he didnt play, JT wanted to play for Chelsea last season after his head injury but was told to take the time out to fully recover. This time he's been given the all clear from Chelsea to play if he sees fit. I'm sure McClaren would rather have JT out there on the pitch on Wednesday than any other player. His desire to win is second to none, and in a game like this you'll want everyone giving their all. Thats one thing JT gives you every game.

I've always had a soft spot for Scotland and was gutted for you. How the ref saw the decison to award the free kick against Scotland at the end was baffling to say the least. I believe there are noises coming from Scotland asking for this ref never to ref a top game again. Considering he made a few unbelievable decisions during the match was astonishing. You should have had a penalty at least after the ball struck Cannavaro ( ?). When you look at the bigger picture, to finish where you did has got to be promising for the future. Theres plenty of young players in the team with real promise. Hutton, Caldwell, Brown, etc.. so the futures bright.
