Apparently Sheva is doubtful for the game today according to reports....to me that means he's almost ready to return to the team. I would think that when Drogba returns ( hopefully not injured) he will be playing alongside Anelka with Sheva on the bench..........or maybe we could see all 3 up front together

I dont think he'll take that long to settle in at all. He's been around the block and knows how to play many different styles of football. Is our system really that difficult? If he starts he'll have SWP and Malouda ( probably) supporting him from the wings, with Ballack and Joey supporting him from midfield. He can hold it up, come short, go past players, lay it off, whatever. A very good player. He'll carry on where he left off at Bolton imo.

So much for being out all season Back by the end of the month maybe.....Liverpool at home on Feb 9th looks a possible target.....

In todays market, paying 15million for a proven striker who is technically in his prime (28) is a peach of a deal. Considering we paid 30+million for Sheva who was a year older when he signed at 29.....I doubt for one second that Anelka will be having the problems Sheva had in settling in. I love Sheva as much as the next person and felt that just before his injury he was showing the form that made him the most feared striker in the world, but consider this.....the run in to the end of the season and having Drogba, Shevchenko and Anelka as options up front is simply mouth watering.

Couldnt agree more. He's been scoring regularly for Bolton and the chances we would create for him he should fit into the set up pretty easily. Its not like he's not gonna be match sharp. Get him straight into the mix I say. Pizarro doesnt exactly fill you with confidence as a lone striker.

Poor is being kind. Someone mentioned before he reminded them of Kuyt.....headless chicken and all that. Which is a good comparison. THeres a similarity with the way he's performing now and the way Sheva was when he first arrived. Difference being there was a bit of thought behind Shevas movement. Pizarro looks lost half the time. Obviously he needs time to find his feet in the team as he hasnt had much playing time, but once he's on he reminds me of school football players who just run and run and run after the ball with no great effect.

You see easily 10 - 15 tackles like that every weekend that result in a yellow card. It was a shocking decision. Unless Mikel is some sort of double-jointed contortionist then there was no way he could have went into that tackle any other way

Watching the game last night..... Malouda and Joe Cole were pish at corners last night. Belletti on the other hand was hitting the danger zone everytime. What pissed me off is seeing Riccy and Alex march for ward for the ball to hit the first man and get thumped up the pitch.
