  1. When Sheva was made the focal point of our attack we saw glimpses of the old boy coming back. Then he picked up that injury which basically kept him out for the rest of the season. He works his bollocks off and doesnt go all Drogba-esque. Tbh, I'd like to see us use him as our main striker and get rid of Drogba. Sheva obviously isnt as pacey as he was before and with Deco added to the team, he'll have someone who can pick out the passes to put Sheva in on goal. He still has that vision to get into positions to score. I have faith in him.
  2. We need a good season from Drogba. If he wants to put himself in the shop window then he's better buck up his ideas. It was his form a few years back that really propelled him onto the footballing stage as one of the most lethal players in the game. Thats when he really made his name imo. If he plays like that again then he'll probably get his move and we can move on without his constant whinging
  3. The difference between Joe Cole and Drogba is that when Joe Cole dives its usually after getting himself into a hole and cant get out of it, maybe trying an odd trick and trying for a free kick. Drogba on the other hand is a big lump of a lad and shouldnt be muscled out of a chase for a ball, he gets breathed on and he falls over. During his best season very rarely did he lose out to a defender when battling for the ball. He HAS the strength and abilty to stay on his feet. His all round play is fantastic, even in defence he's there for free kicks and corners getting the ball away. Thats the Drogba we all want to see this season, not Drogbalina Ballerina
  4. Drogbas the sort of player who needs a good kick up the arse imo.
  5. I read somewhere that a few of the players are away sorting out their visas for the pre-season tour, Maybe thats why they havent been in today
  6. Drogba can be devastating......but its only when he wants to be. Thats what pisses me off most. He seems to pick and chose when he wants to put in the graft.
  7. I thought he was going out on loan till January?
  8. Can only be good that we can hopefully see some of the youth players finally getting a break in the side. Mancienne especially has been on loan quite a few seasons now, if he can establish himself within the squad we could well see the emergence of another John Terry.
  9. What age is Drogba ffs. He's a grown man and should start acting like it. This clubs given him the platform to be the best he can be, its about time he started giving something back. One determined season in four years is hardly worth him thinking he doesnt have to work his bloody socks off every week.
  10. 16 in 31 while having a balance deficiency......what would those stats read if he stayed on his feet and stopped rolling round like a big girls blouse?
  11. It has been a mixture of both for me. He talked too much to the media, farted about the pitch, played when he felt like it........just not good enough. He needs to be .....200% committed to Chelsea
  12. I've had my occassional wobble on a Saturday night
  13. With Scolari saying he wants him 200% to stay at Chelsea, do you think we'll see the Drogba we saw 2 seasons ago where he was probably the most unstoppable striker in Europe, or will his anitics continue ?
  14. Yes indeed. Put your money were your mouth is Frank
  15. I agree.....SWP, for his own sake has to get out of Chelsea, he was too good for Citeh, but doesnt seem to be able to handle it at the top. Malouda just wasnt on his game last season and we shoudnt be carrying players like we have in the past. With Ronaldo possibly going nowhere, Robinho could dig his heels in and not want to move from Madrid as his agent said he doesnt want to leave. HE classes him better than Ronaldo I still dont know about Ronaldinho. He's worked with Scolari before so they're bound to know what makes each other tick. Could be a gamble though with his off the field problems.
  16. I think its been common knowledge that both parties want this concluded, I dont know exactly what the sticking point is, wehter its his contract length or the financial side of things. Chelsea want him to take a 2 year deal, Lampard wants 4-5 I understand at 150k pw. Just haggle ffs and take a 3 year deal and lets get back to concentrating on football
  17. Do you think a move for Quaresma could be on the cards, we've already got a good blend of Portuguese players in the side. As much as I dislike him as a player, he's still quality and would definately strengthen that position.
  18. I dont think well add any more strikers to the squad. Drogba being named by Scolari himself as a man he wants to keep at the club and Sheva not being allowed to leave. Defence wise were sorted, so I cant really see anything other than a bit of width being brought into the team Dunno where Robinho would fit into the current squad if we're to go with his favoured 4-2-3-1?
  19. The club website probably just posted up the important stuff, this remark he made was more off the cuff. He was talking about his first day at the training ground, getting to know the players, JT came to introduce himself. I havent seen the website content yet, but Scolari also said that a few years back he voted for JT as his player of the year, and a also Drogba 2 seasons ago and he is happy that he has both of them now as his players.
  20. I was very impressed by him. He also mentioned that he will wait for a few days yet to get to know the strength of the squad before he decides where he needs to add. I laughed when asked if he reguarded himself as a "special one" as Jose described himself when he first took charge. Scolari looked the guy straight in the eye and said......."YES"..There was a few laughs, but he continued he was special to his family and friends, nothing more. Also mentioned that JT came to his office and knocked on the door and said...."Hello I'm John Terry", Scolari I know who you are, come on in All in all, He put himself across very well and spoke quite clear considering he was thought not to be able to speak English.
  21. How long has this whole Lampard saga went on for now.....2 years ? Its dragged on too long now for my liking. I hope things are sorted out over the next week or so and we can have closure on this drama one way or another.
  22. Aint got Chelsea TV ,but I'm gonna watch it in a minute on SSN
