  1. Like your optimism - and there are definite signs there. Amazing home crowd at St james, never easy, Poch up in row Z, and some stupid mistakes - not making excuses but there were conspiring factors that made it look worse than it was. The downside for me is the slow boiling of the frog in terms of a pattern of shit results whereby mediocrity is slowly the norm. Many heads would have rolled under the Russian rule by now, shit results would not be tolerated
  2. Lewis Dunk is out so he is one that wont be getting a free unmarked header on goal
  3. We can do this if the defence is tightened up..though impossible to predict nowadays. Good news is Poch back on the touchline
  4. The inconsistency is incredible. Especially the surrounding the ref scenarios. Its fine for Man City Liverpool to do it apparently, though they dont have to do it very often as they have the majority of decisions go their way. Even the VAR decisions are all over the shop.
  5. Garnacho does exactly the same as James yesterday, kicks the ball away - no card
  6. Venables left school in the summer of 1958 and signed for Chelsea as an apprentice at the age of 15. He won the FA Youth Cup with Chelsea in consecutive seasons, as they beat Preston North End in 1960 and Everton in 1961. He made his much anticipated senior debut in a 4–2 defeat to West Ham United on 6 February 1960, with newspapers billing him as "the new Duncan Edwards". He took his FA coaching badges at the age of 24, passing with distinction and a 95% pass mark. He went on to lift the League Cup with Chelsea, and scored a penalty against Leicester City in the two-legged final. Chelsea also reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup in 1964–65 ''1966, Inter Cities Fairs Cup… look it up,' he says. 'We (Chelsea) won the first leg 4-1 at Stamford Bridge. It was a good game for me (Venables scored a hat-trick). They kicked us a lot, we went down to 10 men after Eddie McCreadie punched one of them in retaliation. It was hard out there. They really cranked it up, showered our coach with bricks and bottles. We hid down under our seats'' He went on to manage Barcelona, England Spuds, Palace, Boro and Australia. RIP
  7. EL Tel great manager. Euro 96 what a time to be alive
  8. The main thing is that we continue our run, a team has to score 4 every game
  9. Feel sorry for our fans - its a long way home from up there when youve lost
  10. No goal someone looked at Alison in a funny way
  11. Haaland with another PL record quickest player to 50 goals in the least games
  12. They still print the most reactionary racist shit, most of their 'stories' are pure fiction and scaremongering - not sure about their football 'stories' though
  13. Have to remember the Daily Express is owned by West Ham Porn merchants who made their money out of such luminary tomes as 'Big Tits Monthly' and 'Asian Babes'
  14. He can still play in our set up, for a bit anyway. I think Argentina were very fast. That game was a warzone !
  15. You get the feeling Man City out of all the clubs -possibly Liverpool as well due to the permanent victim status- are untouchable. Agree Everton have been made an example of, probably as a deterrent to others, who will probably go unscathed apart from massive fines.
  16. Agree but where there's blame there's a claim - meanwhile the FA will look at how they can get more money out of it
