  1. Chelsea shambles has turned USA investors away from buying Premier League clubs - Report Chelsea are a laughing stock. Since buying the club for £2.5bn and pledging another £1.75bn in further club investment, Todd Boehly and friends have presided over a total shambles. Since the takeover in 2022, it has taken them only two years to reach spending of £1.5bn+ on signing players, including another quarter of a billion (so far!) in this current summer window. The news of the laughable Chelsea shambles has now reached over the pond, with a special Bloomberg report (see below) now detailing how American investors have seen what’s happened at the Stamford Bridge circus and are now seeing Premier League clubs as not such a good idea. So many American ‘investors’ already in play in England, with around half the Premier League clubs and some 30+ overall of the 92 clubs in the four divisions having significant USA ownership/control. The reality is that only four of the Premier League clubs in the 2022/23 season (the most recent available figures for all clubs) made a profit. You can see why our friends across the pond might be getting cold feet, when over in the United States, their major sports are arranged with the specific aim of everybody making as much money as possible. Things such as the threat of relegation a very foreign concept. The Bloomberg report also notes the ever increasing competition at the top end of the Premier League, with the reality now being that whilst there are only four automatic places for Champions League qualification, there are arguably now at least twice as many teams as there are places, vying for those positions. 2. Mourinho was/is many things but his 2 top players for every position mantra made perfect sense and works generally. 9 keepers is akin to mental illness. Plyushkin's disorder, is a mental disorder characterised by persistent difficulty in parting with possessions and engaging in excessive acquisition of items that are not needed or for which no space is available.
  3. 43 players in the first-team squad with a league-high combined 191 years remaining on their contracts. Clownlake need to trim the fat.
  4. Sterling was gone as soon as he released that 'poor me' statement. If every player did that when they're not performing/in favour the whole professional game would collapse. He needs to realise its a team sport, and not all about him
  5. Its the same old story - uneducated folks gaslit by intelligent racists who never get their hands dirty - take all right wing leaders and rabble rousers from Hitler, Mussolini, Putin, Netanyahu -they all depend on a disenfranchised uneducated working class who are looking for someone to blame, whereas the unscrupulous 'leaders' should be their target.
  6. Read that and thought they were buying Malang Sarr back 😃
  7. Sky obviously find it acceptable for him to gob at a fan and in a 14 year old girls face
  8. Renowned Nigerian prophet and founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has urged Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen to snub a move to Chelsea, claiming that the striker will not have the best of time should he join the London club. The cleric made this statement in a 44-second video on social media. It is not the first time that the primate has prophesied about the London club. In 2023, he equally claimed that the English Premier League club were cursed and needed cleansing. “Chelsea are a finished club. If they are not careful, they will not function again. The people who bought Chelsea should go back to the owner and get his blessings,” he said. “Otherwise, if they put 10, 20 strikers, defenders, and the best goalkeeper in the world, there is a curse troubling Chelsea at the moment. I have told you to take these words very seriously if you want to progress; otherwise, Chelsea can go to relegation. ..... So thats whats wrong then Egbali Boehly and Clownlake have to go back to Abramovich and ask his blessings. Good luck with that
  9. has signed a new Chelsea contract to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge until 2033. 😃
  10. World has officially gone mad Al-Alhi have offered Vicnius Junior 13 times the salary he gets at Real Madrid Real Madrid have said you can have him for 1 billion
  11. Two extremely rich individuals working out how to create more division amongst the masses, get them at each others throats -it's what the rich do to protect themselves and for amusement
  12. Isaac Hayes the latest musician to be angry Trump has used his music - he joins a long list. A letter sent to Trump and his campaign team, shared by Hayes’s son Isaac Hayes III, threatens Trump with legal action if he continues to use the 1966 Sam & Dave song, written by Hayes and David Porter. It alleges copyright infringement, and also demands $3m in licensing fees incurred from the use of the song between 2022 and 2024. The letter, from lawyer James Walker, alleges that the Trump campaign “wilfully and brazenly engaged in copyright infringement”, and continued using the song “despite being asked repeatedly not to engage in such illegal use by our client”. Walker alleges that the song has been used so frequently that the $3m figure is “heavily discounted”. The letter also states that if a resolution is not made and a lawsuit is then issued, the Hayes family will demand damages of $150,000 per use of the song. On Saturday, Hayes III wrote that Trump – who has previously been filmed dancing to Hold On, I’m Comin’ – used the song in a Montana rally despite being asked not to. “We will now deal with this very swiftly … Donald Trump represents the worst in integrity and class with his disrespect and sexual abuse of women and racist rhetoric.” In 2022, the Hayes family criticised Trump for using the song at a National Rifle Association convention, less than a week after the Uvalde school shooting, where 19 students died. “Our condolences go out to the victims and families of Uvalde and mass shooting victims everywhere,” they wrote. On Saturday, Céline Dion rebuked Trump over the use of My Heart Will Go On in the same Bozeman, Montana rally, though did not threaten legal action. “In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use,” a statement read. “And really, THAT song?”, it added – Trump had been widely mocked for using a song commonly associated with a sinking ship in a campaign rally. Dion’s Titanic soundtrack ballad was the latest peculiar and even comical musical choice by the Trump campaign in recent years. The Smiths’s Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want, a naked and vulnerable plea, was played at a rally in January, prompting the band’s Johnny Marr to write: “I never in a million years would’ve thought this could come to pass. Consider this shit shut right down right now.” Michael Stipe of REM said “do not use our music or my voice for your moronic charade of a campaign,” after It’s the End of the World As We Know It (and I Feel Fine) – a cheerily apocalyptic song – was used in 2015. So many other musicians have opposed Donald Trump using their music in rallies that they collectively have their own page on Wikipedia. Some of the most prominent include Adele, the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith; the estates of the late Leonard Cohen, Luciano Pavarotti and George Harrison have also voiced opposition. Trump frequently used Neil Young’s Rockin’ in the Free World at rallies, prompting the Toronto-born musician to write an open letter in 2020 in which he acknowledged he didn’t have legal recourse to block the use, but stated: “You are a disgrace to my country … Your mindless destruction of our shared natural resources, our environment and our relationships with friends around the world is unforgivable.” Guardian

But a club can also register as many under-21 players as they like on top of that 25-man squad.
  15. Also Gusto is very solid most of the time -which will be needed as James (injury wise) cant be relied on
  16. Ouzo overload or Communist infiltration ? Either way Preston were in Championship last time I looked
  17. We'll see the difference between an organised team and a load of disjointed individuals next Sunday
  18. Hi There is the ticket exchange Ticket exchange | Official Site | Chelsea Football Club (chelseafc.com) but not sure if it is useable for Friendlies. The few that post here only a few go to matches so little chance of swaps here. As far as wearing your shirt, shouldnt present too much of a problem as its a friendly- but if it kicked off you'd be the first to be removed. Enjoy the match !
  19. Think its more nuanced than that. He was by far the most creative when England won the U23 Euros without conceding a single goal, but agree can see limitations with Marescas set up.
  20. Neto's recent injury record gives some cause for concern with two hamstring injuries last season that saw him miss over 100 days of competitive football - he'll have to join the doctors waiting room at Cobham
  21. Creative, takes players on, gets to the byline, decent shot
  22. So thats near enough 200m so far this window - we need to be thick skinned when fans laugh at us when we're 15th in the table at Christmas
