  1. Bit of a stupid argument really, hes good at what he does. Another example of us ruining football. Its Joses fault.
  2. Not wanting to take any chances, he could be out for a while now Skyspurts Chelsea are sweating over the fitness of Petr Cech ahead of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg clash with Fenerbahce. Cech has just recovered from an ankle injury and was expected to return to The Blues' starting line-up on Tuesday. However, he is reported to have suffered a fresh injury after taking a knock to the head during training on Sunday. Due to Cech's previous head injury, which saw him suffer a fractured skull at Reading last season, Chelsea will not want to take any chances with the Czech No.1. Cech, who still ears a rugby-style skull cap for protection during games, suffered a cut which needed medical attention. Although not through to be serious, sources have told the Czech media that he is a fresh doubt for the Fenerbahce game. Italian Carlo Cudicini has been standing in for Cech, but the West London giants are desperate to get their No.1 back into the starting line-up.
  3. Anyone like these ? The Specials To Reform Coventry's legendary ska evangelists The Specials have confirmed that they will reunite for live dates this autumn. No dates have been announced as yet but the band will spend the summer rehearsing for the tour. Speaking to the BBC, singer Terry Hall said: "Well, we're still trying to put dates together, but hopefully September/ October time. We need to spend the summer rehearsing... I think it's taken me 30 years to realise we could do it really well." The singer believes that the reunion will remain true to the band's orginal intentions, saying: "Because I saw Patti Smith do 'Horses', and I saw The Pixies reforming... you do it with dignity or don't do it at all". Fans were given a tantalising taste when Hall and the band's guitarist Lynval Golding played 'Gangsters' and 'A Message To You Rudy' with Lily Allen and Damon Albarn respectively at last year's Glastonbury Festival.
  4. not over till the fat lady sings.... Rooneys equaliser could be the point that wins it for them, what with their goal difference etc -but Arsenal at old Trafford could be a defining moment, and it may well go the last game of the season. Whatever happens it's a rollercoaster this season If we win it.... all those red supporting journos saying how we have ruined the game etc.... will love it
  5. Lol I wouldnt mind being called a 'fucking Brit' . Well the Yid thing directed towards Tottenham has been there as long as the 1950's and 1960's as they were a predominantly Jewish owned club. Tottenham fans embraced this and call themselves the Yid army. However nearly all the rich ownwers and directors of Premiership clubs are now Jewish. You have Avram Glazer and his brothers at Man Utd, Gaydemark at Portsmouth, Randy Lerner at Villa, Daniel Levy with Alan Sugar and David Pleat at Tottenham. Arsenal have their fair share and we have Abramovich, Eugene Tenenbaum, Bruce Buck, Simon Greenberg, and our beloved Avram Grant. I think this helped him to get the job if we're honest. Just take over the reins of a thorobred already running called Chelsea FC. There is anti semitism sometimes, but I'd be more worried about Pakistan and India having nuclear missiles poised at each other to be honest, or the impending Indian Food crisis - then again you're in the US -probably safer
  6. Have to admit missed this and only saw MOTD. What I saw was encouraging , and especially with ManUtd scraping a draw yesterday, although Rooneys goal may be the point that clinches the title for them
  7. On reflection although the Premier League has brought exciting football and the best percentage of players in the World -at what price ? I now think the inception of the Premier League in 1992 was one of the worst things to happen. You now have an elite 18, and another elite 4 clubs within that. The Premier League was formed by a few TV people and already millionaires, who realised that 100 000s of people trudged week in week out to watch their clubs and would die for them. They became aware that 'Hey theres a global market for this' They realised by taking control of the top echelons they could attract billionaires to invest and make themselves richer. Out of the millions of mainly working class that watched it they also realised theres a sizeable middle class that will easily pay £50 a time it. The price is a sanitised , overpriced, non standing product that has alienated core fans. OK it needed some health and safety changes after Hillsboro , Bradford etc but they used that as an excuse to change it completely in pursuit of cash. Yeah, I remember when you had that altercation with scousers and the OB contacted the club. Disgraceful how they treated pepople like yourself that had been going for years.
  8. Well yeah, theres too many -and as you say the UK has more CCTVs than anywhere else in the world. We're filmed on average over 200 times a day in our daily movements. Its fucking intrusive in my book, though if people do get pissed off with it there is something we can do. For a nominal fee -usually between £1 and £10 the people filmimg us, under the Freedom of Information Act HAVE to supply you with the footage they've taken of you. You can imagine the chaos that would ensue if just 10 or a hundred, or a thousand people demanded the footage from these snoopers. The voyeurs filming would come to a grinding halt.
  9. Always thought Strachan was funny when interviewed, and he would be a 100% imrovement on what we have now. Shame its only an April Fool.
  10. Yeah watched that, incredible. Remember seeing a documentary of another free climber- she was French as well, climbing sheer rock faces in Arizona etc. That Alain Robert has no fear and that was his motivation. Quite funny seeing him climb all over the bedroom ceiling and when he was arguing with his missus that she should give up the fags.
  11. Nice summary there Mischief, it's easy to forget how we came to be where we are. As for CM receiving dodgy e mails, you've got to respect the blokes experience and years being Chelsea. Agree with the 'old bastard' bit though.
  12. He's right though - wouldnt have squandered that lead. If it had been 1-1 he would have the tactical nous to win or hold it.
  13. So does the CL Cup have our name on it then or what ?
  14. What pissed me off mostwas Grant blaming his ineptitude on the players . Kebab merchants was meant in good humour btw -off to Turkey in a few weeks so I'd better behave. Dont know who called them 'Turk cunts' -weren't me guv
  15. Also, Shannons step dad arrested for having the kiddie porn -he's 22. Bit suspicious him being with the mum, who, and lets be fair, is a bit of a munter - presumably just so he could have access to the kids. Nonce in a Man Utd shirt. Another one.
  16. If I was Avram Grant I'd top myself. Its definitely time he fucked off now.
  17. Well we didnt take our chances and paid the price -still think we'll do the kebab merchants at the Bridge though. We had too many passes outside the box -and Drogba didnt pass due to greed in the box. What stunning/lucky strike for their second ! You cant prepare for anything like that. Grants veiled attack on the players in his mumbling way just adds to his general cuntishness. And coming out with shite like ''the players need to stay awake'' and ''This is Football'' What a tit.
  18. Well it turns out the ref who ''didnt see'' Hleb being pulled back for a stonewall penalty comes from a village a mile away from where Kuyts family lives in Holland
  19. Well theres a few I suppose, the Glaziers, Gaydemark, Randy Lerner but they've all adequate managers at the moment
  20. Cheers, not one in Coventry? shame, think theres a few in the Midlands. Wouldnt be my first choice, aussie cnuts, but can't knock the free beer. They're showing both games anyway.
  21. Dont think little Shannon will be back for a while... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bradford/7326006.stm
  22. Watched the Roma ManUtd tie, and although the commentators were creaming their pants about Roonaldey I thought they were genuinely lucky. It was poor finishing on Romas part that left it 0-2. Just happened to flick to the Schalke barca game just as they scored, and cant see Schalke getting anything from Camp Nou. SSN are crapping on endlessly about Liverpool history, pedigree, Rafa, Torres, etc etc. I'm hoping Arsenal fucking trounce them tonight. BTW the tabloids are doing free pint vouchers for Walkabouts tonight - got four so far
  23. You're right they've all moaned about fixtures several times. Fergie even took his players out of a tournament (World Club Championship). Hypocritastic.
  24. Most of the 39 000 would have been disappointed, but a win was a win, and Boro getting so close to some points, it can only buoy them up for their Yernited game.
