Curbs: No Change Under Grant
Fulham Broadway replied to Aesthetic Relic's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Your optimism and postive attitude is commendable Esk. Seriously.Bit of a glass half empty man meself -what I've noticed is we've been exposed at the back, and it hasn't been exploited or found out due to luck, and calibre of opposition so far. -
Blimey, both sound a bit of a liability. Have to take a sack of salt with these Tribal stories as well.

Grant: Theres Life After Mourinhio

Good post. Before people accuse us of constantly barracking him -I will never warm to him -and will continue to despise his lies and sneaky way he came to manage a love of mine that has outlasted any woman. It grates that he's getting £2 800 000 a year of admission money for pretending he knows what hes doing. The Israeli billionaire Portsmouth owner Gaydemark brought him over from Israel as he was going nowhere in his own country. Once there he started his spying mission, hanging around, laying out the training bibs, and putting out cones for the players to dribble round. Redknapps first impression was one of disdain, saying he didn't know what he was doing or who he was. The players said he just stands around with his arms folded. This view of him later changed, obviously under Gaydemarks instructions, and once Redknapp knew Abramovich was bringing him to Stamford Bridge as ''Director of Football'' , Redknapp was saying ''He's a lovely bloke'' etc (inwardly smiling no doubt) .On the old forum I started a thread as soon as he came to the Bridge, that it was the death nell of Mourinho. And so it was, he watched, plotters plotted, and replacements were mooted for Mourinhos entourage. Basically in my opinion, Abramovich didnt want Mourinho to become Mr Chelsea, and as people and the press have surmised Abramovich wanted a more Roy of the Rovers free goalscoring team for his plaything.People can say ''it's water under the Bridge'' and 'what does it matter if we're winning ?''.Ok, this is because of what he's inherited, and his back up team of professionals. As far as progression, I would say we're standing still at the moment .Life after Mourinho ? I hope so, but this animatronic vegetable is one lifeform Chelsea could quite easily miss. -

He also reckons Mourinhos tactics would be shit for England. OK.http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/pages/live/a...in_page_id=1779 -
Thought their fans did them credit last night 50 000 spurring them on after h/t. Barcodes could have won it towards the end, as the Gooners were on the back foot

Associated Press and Marca (Spanish paper) MADRID, Dec 5: Ronaldinho could be set for a move to Chelsea, according to one of the numerous reports on Wednesday which suggested the embattled Brazilian is finally ready to depart Barcelona. Ronaldinho has fallen out of favour at the Nou Camp this season, especially since his reputation was damaged by highly-publicised reports of his nocturnal party lifestyle. Amid falling sales of his number 10 shirt, a series of substitute appearances and an apparent lack of form, the 2006 Ballon d’Or winner is now on his way to Stamford Bridge, according to Spanish sports daily Marca. Marca said the 27-year-old already holds an offer from the English Premier League side offering him 10 million euros a year.

£136k per week. True, JT and Ballack supposed to be on £130k. Our midfield would be the best Mikel, Lampard, Ronaldhino, Essien. Good dentists in SW6 as well.
-
Tabloids either constantly mistranslating our players , or casting gay slurs.
-
First reaction, if true, we're rapidly turning into Romans Globetrotters, but then again hes only 27. One problem I can see is a series of stalled contract re- signs for existing players if hes going to be on that sort of dosh.

This Bender chap, plays for the gooners ?

He'll be a bigger joke than that. Because it was Neville Chamberlain. If you're going to quote English history CM get it right, it's like me saying that great Scotsman Mel Gibson saying ''Freedom!!''. In a way Its difficult to blame the younger fans, a lot have only supported since Mourinho -and have great trust and faith in the club. Us wiser *cough*, and older fans can see the club's been hijacked. Roman might have the right intentions, but he should leave some things alone. I reckon Israel asked for some payback or Jewish loyalty bonus -it's the only explanation for having the charmless charlatan. As Mischief said it's not if, but when he gets found out. Just a matter of time. -
Not so sure TCB, I've had a few -ranting -but ta anyway

The tabloids will always try and destabilise Chelsea. You dont see many stories about Man United players saying Scholes is a ginger twat , and puts the players off, or Ronaldo cant find enough women to rape, or Fabregas doesn't like North London because all the GreekCypriot kebab houses are shit ?
-
Lol thats the fella ! There were a few mentals on day release that day. Can remember this apoplectic Chels skinhead biting the fence separating the fans, blood all round his mouth. The beautiful game.

Mikel Begins To Make His Mark

Definitely a great asset with Essien. I'm sure when he shoots though, he sees the goal on top of the stand for some reason. -
Grant: Theres Life After Mourinhio

Probably sums him up. Biographers of Mourinho and other managers have said there is no one in the game who analyses the opposition to the meticulous level that he does, and as you say, always has a contingency for the way the game progresses. This is one facet that they cannot replicate with a Pound Shop manager. -
Its probably 100% bollocks just as the things that Drogba were supposed to have said. I dont know if their are many English 'stars' playing in France, but a French tabloid would have a field day with Joey Barton or John Terry trying to speak French.
-
Originally in the Daily Mail. Now they've stopped picking on Drogba, it's more than likely a translation to suit current displeasure at the player, and sensationalist approach required of a tabloid.

Grant Hails Ten Cate And Clarke
Fulham Broadway replied to Aesthetic Relic's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Hope he stays. But as people have said, Clarke could have been there just while Grant embeds himself. I get the impression there was a huge reconnaisance excercise on how Mourinho worked, not only him but his staff as well, before Grant was instigated. Clarke remaining in situ was the insurance should it go tits up. -
Mancienne: Chelsea Access Denied

Funny to think they used to be our neighbourhood rivals -
What a brilliant day. In the local with blokes with Man United shirts on.

When we were shit -I was there . It was kicking off everywhere outside, and one of our 'celeb' fans who was in Eastenders got a right kicking and was off the show for a while. Happy Days.
