"Compared with Germany, England is far behind in terms of comfort and culture," Voronin told the Russian paper. "Five out of the seven houses near us are occupied by footballers. Steve Gerrard was burgled recently so a police patrol car comes into our compound fairly often. "We hear police sirens all the time. Leverkusen, by contrast, was so much quieter." Regarding Britain's health care, pony-tailed Voronoin declared: "The medical services here are poor. When I was in Germany, there were lots of good clinics and doctors. "It is nothing like that here - when our child had a skin allergy we waited hours for the doctor to see him. "When we finally got to see a doctor, he said he didn't know how to treat children and to try rubbing in this ointment. "That was it. I was stunned. As a result my wife had to go back to Odessa with him and took a full set of tests there." He also had a swipe at the distinctive Liverpool accent, saying: "I study English twice a week with a teacher and I have made some progress in it. "But English isn't the main problem. The main thing is to learn to understand the local players like Gerrard and Carragher. "They speak with some peculiar local accent and sometimes I have absolutely no clue what the guys are saying. Voronin is under contract at Anfield until the summer of 2011, but he may move on earlier than that . 4theGame

Lol good point. I think the players are up for it despite Grant. He's just the pervy school caretaker hanging round the sports field. We'll miss Essien in the first leg, there should be an appeal for that yellow -bouncing the ball ?- but in this climate of ''respect''it would fall on UEFAs deaf ears probably. I'm confident of progression to the final, beacause of the second leg, and Abramovich in Moscow seems pre ordained.

Barnsley straight after being knocked out of FA semis, manage to beat promotion candidates Watford 3-0 away last night. Let's hope this same effect takes hold of Arsenal at Old Trafford after losing to the wallpushers

Have to admit there was a little bit of me that hoped we messed up -and I've heard this from other Chelsea fans as well - just so's the ''Fat Twat in Black Trying Really Badly to Look Like Mourinho'' would fuck off.

Started off when fans could buy in at £35 a throw. Call themselves EbbsFleet. There was a transition period when Liam Daish picked the team, now the fans are doing it. The team has been doing well. The Share Liverpool FC one which is a bit more serious, and aims to put the club in the hands of 100 000 fans, is also doing OK according to The Times. Anyway, back to EbbsFleet..............May 10th FA Trophy Final against Torquay Utd. You can't argue with Wemberleeee.

Hello From Serbia!
Fulham Broadway replied to igy_chelsea-serbia's topic in New Members - Say Hello!
Thats a warm welcome -and welcome to this forum. Like the T shirt and the Celery Serbia one -could be up for one of those. Borota was a Chelsea favourite and could be quite mad sometimes, like bouncing the ball on the crossbar. -
Then theres the CFC censorship. Mourinho and Ranieri arent allowed to be mentioned in any article or programme according to The Times . They ran a piece about when Mourinho was instigated, all mention of Ranieri had to be removed from official Chelsea publications. Similarly the club returned the proof copy of the Carling Cup Final programme and demanded all references to Mournho be removed So it's up to Mischief to write things like this and all hail to Jim and the internet.
-
I symathise with gooners this morning -they were well and truly shafted with dodgy decisions, and we know ourselves what its like up there on their 'Special European Nights'.
-
Yeah have seen that Chelsea Serbia flag. It's impressive. Presumably it would have upset the predominantly Muslim Fenerbache fans. Welcome to this site, and you can introduce yourself in the New Members Forum if you want.

..as the Beatles sung -'with a little help from their friends'... Confident this time. The team wont let us down second leg , only thing that could is Grants selection policy of pulling numbers out of a hat and mental substitutions.
-
Yeah most of our players have played in 'atmospheres' all over the world, hardly intimidated by a load of scarf waving inbreds. We could improve ours for the second leg by banning tourists and corporates and only allowing Chelsea fans in. Liverpool fans should be banned for storming the gates last time and generally being cuntish.
-
Thought we laboured again when we should have had it sewn up quicker. Cudicini has been incredibly unlucky -but Hilario did a sterling job. I'm not going to condemn Essien -just the climate of booking players because they have a little timmy tantrum , dont hurt anyone , and bounce the ball is daft. OK shame he'll miss Anfield, but at least he'll be fired up for the 2nd leg. MOM for me.
-
We need to go up there, fly out the traps, and attack, attack, attack, -none of this sit back and go for a draw nonsense. We need a bit of luck as well what with dodgy refs, our 'dreadful dissent', and goals that dont cross the line. Arsenal lost last night not to the better team , or because it was one of those 'Special Anfield European nights' *projectile vomits* - but to a ref that was probably bought by Liverpool FC.
-
In a way I agree, but this excuse they're looking for upped a gear or two last month. On March 18th the FA launched its campaign ''Respect''. This was designed to address ''bad behaviour'' in football. You cant get more ambiguous. Anyway, within 24 hours Ashley Cole got his yellow against the yids and was castigated as the devil, after he and a few teamates dared to argue with Riley. Then followed Mascheranos 'dissent' yellow. ''Respect'' appears everywhere now in the Sun and all the tabloids, and I notice the Daily Mail has a ''SHUT IT'' campaign. It then permeated itself into the National game with Capello announcing Ferdinand had shown ''more respect''. Hmmmm, that obviously doesnt apply to the drug testers or women raped at ''his parties''. To me this is just another sanitisation of football, though it has to be said there is this culture of denial and self interest of managers -then again thats always been there. In the main it's just a creeping erosion of what makes the game passionate -and Chelsea, since Abramovich and in particular Mourinho, has been pointedly singled out as the spoilt brat that needs chastising.
-
Arsenal for me. Liverpool this, Liverpool that, historeee etc What a load of old shite. Plus they're always sooo spawny in Europe. I'd feel more confident of us beating the gooners right now.
-
There does seem to be a problem -could be partly down to 'ill discipline' but also down to anti-Chelsea new kids on the block attitude from officials that has been evident since Abramovichs cash injection. The low-key attitude adopted by Man Utd now, with the regular respect shown to refs plays dividends for them and can obviously sway decisions. Rooney always has a joke with the ref before kick off, and the players shake the refs hand at the end. This is a deliberate policy by the Old Trafford hierarchy and could be possibly worth several points accrued at the end of the season

50 stitches !! ? Another reason why Ben Haim was a big fucking mistake.

Siasia Raps: Chelsea Have Blunted Obi Mikel Career
Fulham Broadway replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Bit of a stupid argument really, hes good at what he does. Another example of us ruining football. Its Joses fault. -
Not wanting to take any chances, he could be out for a while now Skyspurts Chelsea are sweating over the fitness of Petr Cech ahead of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg clash with Fenerbahce. Cech has just recovered from an ankle injury and was expected to return to The Blues' starting line-up on Tuesday. However, he is reported to have suffered a fresh injury after taking a knock to the head during training on Sunday. Due to Cech's previous head injury, which saw him suffer a fractured skull at Reading last season, Chelsea will not want to take any chances with the Czech No.1. Cech, who still ears a rugby-style skull cap for protection during games, suffered a cut which needed medical attention. Although not through to be serious, sources have told the Czech media that he is a fresh doubt for the Fenerbahce game. Italian Carlo Cudicini has been standing in for Cech, but the West London giants are desperate to get their No.1 back into the starting line-up.

not over till the fat lady sings.... Rooneys equaliser could be the point that wins it for them, what with their goal difference etc -but Arsenal at old Trafford could be a defining moment, and it may well go the last game of the season. Whatever happens it's a rollercoaster this season If we win it.... all those red supporting journos saying how we have ruined the game etc.... will love it
-
Have to admit missed this and only saw MOTD. What I saw was encouraging , and especially with ManUtd scraping a draw yesterday, although Rooneys goal may be the point that clinches the title for them

On reflection although the Premier League has brought exciting football and the best percentage of players in the World -at what price ? I now think the inception of the Premier League in 1992 was one of the worst things to happen. You now have an elite 18, and another elite 4 clubs within that. The Premier League was formed by a few TV people and already millionaires, who realised that 100 000s of people trudged week in week out to watch their clubs and would die for them. They became aware that 'Hey theres a global market for this' They realised by taking control of the top echelons they could attract billionaires to invest and make themselves richer. Out of the millions of mainly working class that watched it they also realised theres a sizeable middle class that will easily pay £50 a time it. The price is a sanitised , overpriced, non standing product that has alienated core fans. OK it needed some health and safety changes after Hillsboro , Bradford etc but they used that as an excuse to change it completely in pursuit of cash. Yeah, I remember when you had that altercation with scousers and the OB contacted the club. Disgraceful how they treated pepople like yourself that had been going for years.

Always thought Strachan was funny when interviewed, and he would be a 100% imrovement on what we have now. Shame its only an April Fool.

Nice summary there Mischief, it's easy to forget how we came to be where we are. As for CM receiving dodgy e mails, you've got to respect the blokes experience and years being Chelsea. Agree with the 'old bastard' bit though.
