Just look at him. I did not know either before @Tomo told me but then I took the time and watched some matches and match highlights of Colwill and he is just so much better than Ake at everything. Pace, strength, overall athleticism, ability on the ball, reading of the game, dribbling, passing range. Ake is just a fraud, he would instantly be our second worst defender after Sarr. The only thing Ake has ever proven is that he is not good enough.

If we get Koulibaly, Ake is needed even less. Colwill is already the superior player. Koulibaly would be the experienced, reliable presence the younger players can lean on.

Keep saying the same. He was one of the best cbs the past few years but you can already see his athleticism waning. And he has to take those fading strengths from the slowest to the fastest, most physical top league. He might be able to slow it down but there is no guarantee he does not fall off a cliff. if we pay 40m for ake and 35 for koulibaly, i think that is an absolute waste on both but also the combination does not instill confidence.

Wow, that is good to hear and quite a statement to make. I have not seen enought of him to express this level of confidence but if you say so I will take your word for it. 19y.o. RJ was one of the best players ever to play in the championship and I called him becoming world class before he ever kicked a ball for our senior team. I really hope you are right.
