who is captain now? It's horrible needing a goal and having no leader on the pitch
-
With lamps off and torres on the chances of us scoring have drastically decreased
-
Amazing how clinically soton capitalized on these individual mistakes by azpi and cahill. I would not have taken off Lamps, rather Ramires.

this was coming. what a run from luke shaw and what a finish from puncheon
-
shit, mata injured, ahs been not that good today and should have been rested anyway. This is too close for lamps, surely will hit the wall Mata probably with a injury because of his tiredness.
-
one more goal and we are surely home and dry.

now that is a great goal from hazard again, he has put on his scoring boots lately
-
fuck Lamps, one of these u should score

ha, the curse of the late birth. Germany as well as England got quite a history of technically average players featuring in the national team due to them being great athlets, fast, tall and strong. Since Germany abandoned that to rather tend to go for skill. So we ended up having a host of technically skilled youngsters but there is no single german player who is as strong as Drogba or as fast as Bale. Demba, what a goal. great work from lamps in before

Demba Ba has amazing body control and balance for a man of his stature. I am about the same height and built but my lack of exactly that (and some other things) cost me my future in football.

Rafa goes all in and plays about the best possible team. Hope it pays off in some first-half goals. Can't afford to exhaust too many key players.

Ha Guradriola signing once again for a team that guarantees domestic titles cos 80% of the opposite teams are simply shit. One might have thought Guardiola would have wanted to prove himself in the best league of the world, where every game is a challenge instead of the least competitive league in the world Blindeliga. No idea who is RAs primary option now. I'll check the odds.

Frank Lampard outwitted and outnumbered - funny!
Magic Lamps replied to Milan's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
-"Frank, the ref does not have a mascot" -"He does now" "...sent off 7 players, sent off a chelsea mascot, punched the fourth official, swallows his whistle, just to round the day off hsi shorts fall down" -
There are players who are able to simply produce these unique moments of magic, these players are often forgiven their lack of consistency. Especially when these players are benefitted by the circumstance of achieveing for a great national team in an era, in which international football was not as discredited as it is today. Zidane is as super_frank pointed out probably the most gifted midfielder ever, but is he also the greater player? It is always difficult to compare different types of player styles from different eras and say who is better. Fact is Zidane was way more succesful on international level and got some more individuals honors therefore but Lamps has been a bit more succesful on club level and has scored waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more goals and waaaaaaaaaay more assists for club as well as for country so for me, putting things in perspective, Lampard just edges it, cos IMO a player should be rated overall, not only for his highs. Look at what Lamps has produced over a decade in the by far best league in the world. (Neither Zidane nor Xavi nor Iniesta has played there, even though it probably was not the best league for msot of Zidane's time). He has been the most consistent performer on world class level ever in that aspect no one comes close to him.

You always enmesh yourself in your litter of speculations. Cool you can foresee what the new manager thinks and how he wants to handle the player, also cool you know which system he will play. Is there one single case within all the written shit you have produced during the Lampard debate you base your ridiculous thesen on facts and not your persistent brainwanking?

I don't know. Drogba is gret but not as a prolific finisher as RVP. furthermore Drogs ahs never been someone for the bread&butter games, rather for the big occasion. Our play would be completely different with him. Nonetheless I agree, we probably would have 1 or 2 titles more with him by now, would not be out of the CL. Should have kept him and even more we should know, what happens, when the board continues to commit these brainfarts and let our legends leave to early.

sturridge really made an impact. His Maloudaesque left footed finish from left channel apparently aimed at the sidenetting was classic. With better finishing he could have won the game for LFC. I think for now we got the better end of the ransfer window with Demba Ba, far more mature and effective than Studge, but longter, who knows...

Fergie is the man who somehow cultivated luck as a tactic. How he did that is beyond me. Liverpool had enough chances to win at OT. van Persie IMO is everything that makes Utd better than us or City at the moment. If we had bought him we would be there up top (neglecting he probably would not have signed for us as former Arse player). Utd look so vulnerable against any side, I have not seen them beating anyone impressively except some rare exceptions. But it makes me confident, if we sign a top striker in summer and do not let go of Lamps or Cole, we will get that EPL trophy back once again.

Mata def needs a rest. Also I think this is the last game in a while we can afford to play Torres, even though it will make it much more difficult. Also I got no idea, if we really need to rest Ba, as strikers often do not run as much as midfielders. Shame we sold Sturridge. This would have been a great ossasion for him. Anyway. we have to trust Marin, here i think Hazard and Mata will be on their last legs. Great JT is back. I think we got to options either play a b-team and make some impact subs if necessary. This scenario went horribly wrong against QPR or play a full strenght side and hope we will get 2 or 3 goals ahead in time. Plan A -----------Cech------- Paulo-Cahill-Terry-Cole -------Luiz---Ramy------ Marin-----Oscar-----Bert ------------Ba------------- and sub in Lamps, Mata, Hazard or Plan B ---------Cech-------- Azpi--Cahill-JT--Cole -------Luiz--Lamps--- Mata-----Oscar---Hazard -------------Ba-------------- which is IMO the strongest team we can field.

All the kinds of reason the press or some of us assume being behind the decision not to prolong his contract at all are grossly speculations. The only reasons I can think of that would justify this drastic decision would be a significant misconduct by Lampard,Lampard not sufficing the required footballing standards or Lampard planing his future elsewhere. None of which is reported, if not even the opposite is the case. As the reasons are not obvious, i think the board owe an explanation of some degree to us, the fans. Even more due to him being the greatest Chelsea player ever. As long as that explanation is not given and we are not even given a chance to retrace, it is impossible for me not to condemn the decision and calling everyone and everything that defends it into question. On the one side there is Lampard, 194 goals and 130 assists for the club, major performer in all title challenges, still one of our best and most consistent players on the other side there is silence by the board and a litter of devoid commonplaces and speculations that are neither credible nor exculpatory. Every proper fan and every rational man should know where their side is.

Leighton Baines has succeeded Ashley Cole as the best leftt back in the world in 2012. His crossing is Beckham-esque, he's got the pace and technique of a class winger and is defensively as apt as anyone. Yeah 15m should be limit considering he is will be 29 at the end of this year. We must bring in experienced players, cos the board wants to get rid of the ones we already got. No idea whether Baines is a leader, Fullback seldom are. The problem is, if we do not sell him he will go to ManU and we all know he will get even better there.

Ridiculous to say Hazard being MOTM, cos apart from his goal he was shit, as was Mata, who even though probably got 4 assists, even though he knew nothing about them. Our Defence really stood strong. the penalty against JT was soft, the ref tried his best to stop us, but his assistant and Walters had other plans. To continue this illogical run under Benitez we now will go on to lose at home against Arsenal but thrash Swansea to get to the Carling Cup final only to lose there against Bradford.

http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/marca-chelsea-offer-celta-vigo-e10m-for-iago-aspas/ Only Marca. 25 years-old Spanish striker with a decent record. Solid poacher, but small and nearly as ugly as Rooney. I'd say pass.
