We have the way more athletic team on average but they are just more competent. Technically, tactically, mentally they are on a different level. If we just lose this 1-0 we can by no means complain. Torrid defending for their goal such an easy chip.

From Lamps to Tuchel to Potter back to Lamps. Just can’t make this up. At the moment, I really wish Frank would never have taken on management. Many ppl will remember him more as a so-so coach than as one of the best players in football history. I respect the ambition but taking on PL jobs so soon has really been an obstacle to his managing career development. Slower, more tactical leagues such as Bundesliga or Serie A would have been better for him to take on after Derby where did a very decent job. let’s just hope for the best. In his first season with us he really outperformed expectations by getting us that 4th spot. Only when expectations rose pressure was too much and team went stale. Again expectations are not that high. Season is already a write off. The way his previous cup campaign have been going we surprisingly beat Real and City but lose to Napoli in the final.

Would love to have Frank back at the club but not as manager. I don’t think he would be a massive failure cos the players respect him and would put him a shift but he has demonstrated he is not yet able to consistently implement a tactical concept. But he embodies everything Chelsea stands for in a positive way and belongs here. Can totally see him providing valuable insights in a director role. Nagelsmann ironically is not too dissimilar to both Potter and Frank. I doubt Nag would have won a trophy with a club different than Bayern yet cos he always was a nearly man himself. His tactical flexibility and problem with handling egos are prime potter magic as explained before . Think he will be a terrific coach in 10 years and have a reputation like Klopp but at this moment I can not see him being the man to bring us forward. Too many question marks there also in his private life. Just built a new house , new gf, advisory roles here and there. I think the man will and should take a few months off. Enrique I only know from his time at Barca and Spain. Tactically he is probably the most astute of all the candidates and very experienced. I admired his Barca side, it was super fun but it had the best front 3 in modern football history His Spain team could be both brilliant and frustrating he always needs top players with great technique. Good thing we have a squad full. My fear is he can not solve our finishing woes. Even at Barca he relied heavily on wc attackers bailing him out cos his team was often shut out by deep buses.

The Problems with Nagelsmann are the same as with Potter - 1)too many tactical variations and no clear philosophy. switching system and personnel too often so players can’t settle 2)he struggles to get big egos in line. The final nail was when the underperforming Mane successfully pressured Nagelsmann into starting him the next game. Nag s standing took such a bit from caving to player power he never recovered

Mudryk is just not a professional football players by ability. With all due respect to Ukraine league but just playing there prepares you in no way for PL. he is a good athlete but his mind is just not conditioned for playing on this level also still raging over this potter masterclass of playing our best player out of position just next to our two worst defenders

No need to be overly critical of the performance. At this stage it is all about results. This might be a good point. The coaching&recruiting for women is a lot like Conte/Tuchel era. like those two, Hayes seems to be able to inject a winning mentality into the team but it has stopped evolving at some point - on the pitch and on the transfer market.
