Mourinho often bumps his chest as a gesture of some exuberantly arrogant self-belief and to rouse the supporters like he did when we won 2-0 at Liverpool but today I think he was genuinely touched by the awesome support by these loyal fans and showed where his gratitude came from: right from his heart. IMO this should show us that he is neither our saviour nor some deluded egomaniac. Somewhere in between - he is a person like you and me. I think he does everything he can do get us ticking again. If this will be enough, I don't know but whether he will get sacked or not, I think he deserved some respect for what he has done here. It is not easy to get on such good terms with the crowd as a Chelsea manager. Let us remember this moment as a sign of benevolence in this cruel football world.

strange game. in one moment we combined with swagger like it was 2014 in the other moment we completely lacked communication defensively and offensively, were wasteful, made unnecessary mistakes and looked shit like always. In the end, we won deservedly, by far the better team but that doesn't count for much as Kiew are a shit team, mind a shit team who really played for their lives. Our two main problems remain: We have to many tactical, individual and communicational errors in defense and just lack the killer instinct in attack. But Willian papered over this for one. We still have to solve these problems. Diego, Hazard, Fabregas, Matic still look out of form but they were better today, just low on confidence.

Having Gullit is rather a disadvantage though. Brilliant player but one of the worst pundits out there. His prepared analysis at MOTD are ok but whenever he has something to say that is no scripted he sounds like a legasthenic on ketamine. Also he is - unfortunately for us - not half as biased as people like Souness, thompson, hoddle. We could definitely use a more competent, eloquent pundit with a great affinity for the club just to balance out the vultures that are circling over us at the tiniest sign of weakness.

how can we be soo unlucky for such an elongated period of time. i just don't get it. against wham we got a man sent off for less than what lucas or can did today and had 2 goals disallowed. today we lose after one goal over time and without lucas getting sent off for 2 obvious yellows.

Actually to that point we have defended awesome. our counter attacks were poor but until we fell asleep we restricted them to half chances.

clattenburg does not whistle as long as coutinho scores. horrible mentality from our team. u have to play until the whislte.

IMO Defence and midfield should be our main priorities. We need at least 1 better 2 more options for both fullback and centre backs. My suggestions would be someone who fits the bill for this position, tall and with some kind of pace like Fabinho, mario Fernandes in CB i am not sure, all young prospects are expensive but one of Stones/Laporte/Gimenez with Höwedes as wild card should be possible In midfield we need at least one better 2 options for the pivot, too. My main wish would be Krychowiak who IMO is the most complete DM out there. has strength, pace, height, passing ability, insane tackler. He could play next to Matic in big games and instead of him in most others. Maybe he can also be paired with someone like Pogba or rather an affordable option Andre Gomes but the jury is still out on him. Anyway we need someone to actually replace fabregas in the pivot. If no one suitable out htere we actually should give RLC a run instead of wasting our time with Cesc and Ramires. In all other position, we are fine as of now IMO. But we should get better quality cover in the ST position maybe. But there are many decent options out there. Pablo Alcacer, Lacazette, Doumbia. some ok striker to play 2nd fiddle but could also lead our line in a CL final, which IMO Remy can not. Fresh blood is IMO the only solution to get an impetus. We don't play as a team anyway, so signings can not disrupt any rhythm. But they would push the current players even more + would be unpredictable for a few weeks again due to new players. Our tactics are shit too, so individual brilliance is all we have left to win games.

Put Willian in this Bayern team and he will look at least as good. Costa always shifts the ball to his left and runs after it. literally every time he gets the ball. no idea why defenders have not figuered that out yet. he is good but not as good as KDB. The only time he faced a decent defender - which are nowhere to be found in bundesliga - this season, which was vs Arsenal, he was in Bellerin's pocket all game.

We did not even play badly. Rather average. But in this kind of bad moment, you will always lose. What is most frustrating is that we show signs of improvement once and then are shot for confidence, wasteful and sloppy again. The players try, even though they could try harder, we are not even in the top 10 of distance covered in the league. Unless something changes dramtically, it will continue this way. NOt that i care for the shit coc. rather go out early than late. maybe until the fa cup starts we have recovered and give it a shot.

Maybe Hazard should not even play. But if he continues to perform the way he has, i doubt Real will even go for him. Can't complain of lack of attacking play today. If we play like we did in extra time vs liverpool, we can at least get a draw, provided that liverpool play with 10 men ofc.

well, our board which is in charge of transfer dealings has been pretty shit for some time now. NOt only this horrible transfer summer so it is well imaginable that they gave in for KDB to leave. IMO he needed the time at Wolfsburg to become the player he is now. Not technically, but mentally. It gave him confidence and resilience he lacked when he was here even though the ability was always there. So IMO a loan would have been the better option. I hope we somehow get some rotation in so we can keep bench players happy. Our mistakes in many cases have been to sell players too early just because we had a prefered choice over them: Robben, KDB, Sturridge maybe even Mata and Lukaku . IMO there is no sense in selling a clearly sufficiently talented player before he has reached his peak or more development can be expected. Even if the players we prefered to them turned out shite, the manager has the right make his pick. Though he should also be able keep the 2nd choice happy. Too often in football have those inital second choice become the better players in the long term.

i doubt that he decides leaving chelsea after one game on the bench midway through the season. We could still win the CL theoretically and he would look pretty silly having decided to leave in this case. But IMO Real would have to get rid of both, Ronaldo and Benitez for Hazard to move there. If he'd really have decided to move now we could just let him rot on the bench. Wonder if Real would still shed out 100+m for him.

performance decent, result ok. 2 points dropped because of wasteful finishing but defensively solid against a side that threw everything at us but we restricted them to a couple of half-chances. it is great to see we are defensively solid again but we really should do score more. It will take weeks until we click again but our play is just poor, we still look like a collection of individuals not a team. this is surely not down to team spirit but tactics. I sometimes feel Mourinho is too consvervative. Everyone has to track back to the byline but we really should defend more by cohesive team movement instead of one-on-one. We niether defend nor attack as a team.
