  1. what a game. such fight for a pre season game. Love the attitude in the 2nd half. Nik Jackson pounding the ground after not getting that last shot off, everybody running for it in the last minute. Looks like Poch has instilled some fight in this team. Great things to come.
  2. The energy, buzz and electric pace of our new young team is something else. First time I feel genuinely excited about next season.
  3. Better make these mistakes in pre season than later. Joao Pedro is some player tho. Can see him end up at a top club soon.
  4. Looks like it. Had a good feeling about the guy from the beginning, let us hope it pans out in the PL as well. He offers so much without scoring. This should take off some pressure and give him time to grow into a proper all round CF.
  5. what a greal moment. Look at how pumped every body is for Mudryk s goal. Such a nice move as well. Again Nik with that assist.
  6. It is ridiculous. Sterling still has this insane pace but has completely forgot to do anything with it. It is like he has completely regressed the past 3 years of his career and went back to being a somewhat promising but frustrating 18 y.o.
  7. Obviously midfield is our weak spot which is a shame cos that is where games are usually won. Defence looks solid and attack lively. Sterling, Gallagher and santos been somewhat underwhelming. The latter obviously still needs some time to adjust but the former two are just hopeless cases. We have to keep in mind this is a newly assembled experimental squad vs a well drilled full strength Brighton side
  8. Maybe but too early to tell. he always has this one good game in him when under little pressure. But he has sucked balls whenever pressed properly.
  9. Nkunku makes a difference already . Only natural goalscorer in the squad, doesn’t mind a scrappy finish
  10. He is giving bad taste a hell of a time
  11. Ofc that fraud welbeck again shame we had looked promising but that routine found us out. we lack height in the box
  12. Maybe ridden the bench for city but they would not have given them these crazy wages
  13. Ofc he is happy here he earns like 5x as much a footballer of his quality deserves. Him being here is a an absolute glitch in the matrix. Any other combination of circumstances last summer and he would ride the bench for Brighton.
  14. True. Poch looks to have a good mix of bringing a cheerful, positive, personable vibe while demanding discipline and hard work from the player and at the same time sticking up for the team (calling out poor refereeing even in a meaningless friendly for starters). But then again we also had this with TT and he still could not get around what made us underperform towards the latter stages of his reign. I really think we just need to get out of the blocks flying and build up some momentum. If we manage this we can make a push for top 4 but if not the pressure will be immense and there is huge potential of another disappointing season with all those gaping holes in the squad.
  15. He is not even trying tho. Wtf is wrong with the dude. He is like the living cliche of a GenZ employee . Always give 0 effort, make a million tiktoks when coincidentally getting sth right, jumping ship at the first opportunity. Rinse and repeat.
  16. Goretzka surely is for sale but Kimmich I strongly doubt he will leave. Goretzka has always been overrated. He is competent but streaky. Can do everything when on form but rarely ever is. The experience, size and ability from range in midfield could temporarily help tho. Poor man’s Michael Ballack
  17. Kept repeating over and over again, dude been rinsed since his first big injury . Never looked the same player since. Todd was at the stadium when Fofana turned in that car crash performance vs Arsenal and somehow still came out of it with the decisions ‚that’s The guy I wanna spend 80m on‘
  18. No he was guaranteed to fail bc the picture he has of himself is and never was in line with what he is. He thinks of himself as some kind of one man counter attack that steamrolls through defenses and gets in a finish (which proved somewhat accurate in Serie A but never in PL) while TT thought of him as a classic target man which also was off. This coincided in him being misused but this does not excuse his extreme wastefulness which ultimately is due to his lack of quality. So while without his terrible attitude and the tactical mismatch I still think he would never have been good enough to ake us challenge for the title.
  19. Only saw it now but Kais debut to forget was not the only reason to smile at arses parlous 1-1 to nürnberg. joeginho scored a beauty of an own goal from 30 yards https://m.bild.de/video/clip/premierleague/bei-arsenal-testspiel-gegen-nuernberg-eigentor-schock-aus-30-metern-84689404.bildMobile.html?t_ref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.de%2F
  20. Nkunku is said to be quite highly regarded in the France squad so I doubt he was taking a dig. Only one way to shut the doubters up tho if otherwise
  21. Noticed Brighton recently bought young joao Pedro de Jesus from watford. Always liked him for his ability to hold his own alone up front in that terrible Watford side when they last were in the PL. nice close ball control and using his body well. Still only 21 while having lots of experience in English football already. Can see him leaving Brighton for 60m+ in the next few years.
  22. Odds are he will decline their contract offer anyway. This move was not only catastrophic for us but also for him and everybody called it in advance once again. Doomed from the get go. he was doing reasonably well for Barca playing regularly and scoring. Then we signed him for a manager likely to be sacked soon and quickly stopped playing him altogether. Also forfeited his only ever career chance of winning a league title. He should not have come here. Ok, the club should have known better than signing him (the fans did). But he sure af should have known better as well to agree to the move.
  23. Will be an interesting loan for sure. Union is a very defensive collective without a star. Proper traditional Kiez club that values fight, discipline and team spirit. Their entire squad has a market value slightly higher than Enzo’s. They don’t really attack in numbers. More counter attack and set pieces as goal sources so DDF will need to learn to be on his own and work hard for his chances. can see him getting a lot of minutes. They play CL next season so even if he does not become a starter instantly there will be chances for ddf. Maybe he can learn a bit from Sheraldo Becker their most important attacker and a very tactically astute at that
