  1. This. And as we were in for Alisson i believe reports were true. Kepa is also exactly 2 years and 1 day younger and not too much worse. I dont think we should pin that on the board.
  2. Pace with brains. We have plenty of quick players and Hazard, Willian, CHO who are rapid, Kante, Barkley, RLc, Pedro, Rüdiger are quick as well. Also Liverpool and city only have a few absolute rapid players (walker, sterling, sane, mane, salah) the rest are just nippy. But the difference is to make decisions in the same pace as your feet run and have the mental urgency to execute them inmediately. This is what we lack. Not even hazard makes the perfect decision most of the time but that is where good coaching comes in apart from learning ability. If Willian had the decisionmaking and game intelligence to match his speed and skill he would be the best player in the world. But i agree, the more quality pace merchants the better. Even an otherwise wellbalanced mediocre player can cause tons of problem when he has insane pace
  3. except for striker we are better in every position when they come with their hasebes and hintereggers we need not fear that our individual classwill not be enough. Either we get our concentration righ tand take the cahnces we will inevitably have plenty of or we dont and it well get nervy. Frankfurt either try to shut you down, which they are shit at as we saw before or they will try to steamroll you with teh power rebic, jovic and da costa which is what i am more wary of. but that approach will leave space behind for us to exploit. Also I rate Hazard above Neymar, Neymar has been average for his standards this season. would not rate kepa and rüdiger that high tho
  4. yup he won 4-0 vs barcelona with milner , henderson in the starting lineup and origi scoring 2 goals. thats like drinkwater and kovacic starting and tammy abraham scoring 2 goals. basolutly crazy wahat he made out of this mediocre squad, albeit by investing 400m on top of transforming average players into worldbeaters
  5. no. in this case the top 4 and arsenal go into cl
  6. Credit where its due. Liverpool where sublime today. they had guts, courage, endurance and killer instinct, they held their concentration. you migh t not like the fans, the club, rightly so but those players and their manger today represented everything football is about. alone the belief to do this vs the mighty Barceloan without three of their best players. We should not be bitter about this but appreciate the qualities they have shown today even if it is hard to take Actually i hate barcelona more than liveprool and barca got what they deserved tehy were absolutely shit in both legs and liverpool dominated them non stop. huge gulf in class between the premier league and the rest of the world. they were without 3 top players adns till wiped the floor with them and would have been even more clear without the messi fluke goals. Still rooting for Ajax to win it all tho. But i got a feeling they will get absolutely butchered by Liverpool if they make it to the final.
  7. I would still preferpool to pull off a mighty comeback and then lose to Ajax in the final, that would be comedy gold
  8. that was his immortality moment. Kompany maybe the first legend of Citys open era.
  9. Clearly not.got all of the ball and got their bodies in front
  10. Not sure if crosses ans shots into the crowd are the way to go tho
  11. Burnley looked the same, usually city find a way and in the pl there is no VAR to thwart their plethora of illicit goals.
  12. Chilwell is looking very quick but not overly comfortable on the ball
  13. And we shouldnt. He is not that good Kudos to leicesters attitude so far. I guess the fa have given some incentives to give City a hrad time today
  14. dafuq why did we not make him sign a contract ffs. will only get a few quids for him now. shit management once again
  15. No Schweinsteiger was for sure not the penalty taker for bayern. It used to be Ballack, then Ribery, then Gomez, then Butt, then Robben, then Lewandowski. Schweinsteiger only ever took 2 pens in regular game time IIRC missed one, scored one. Mata was our secondary pen taker when Lampard was not playing. I remember him missing at least two and i always hated his technique bc he hit them without any power and with so much curve. Which is shit bc in cases he aimed for the right side of the goal, the ball to end up in the net despite the curve it would need to pass very close to the goalkeeper.
  16. You are right about the linesman and the luck part. But i think for the goalkeeper's side skill is a big part of it. Also Schweinsteiger and Mata IMO have always been poor penalty takers.
  17. He does not have insane amount of minutes in his bones this season unlike Kante, Luiz or Azpi so I think he should be fine, he has played like 155mins within 4 days, he should stil have enoug hin the tank to play 2 more games this season.
  18. Caballero is one of the best at stopping pens and i am sure he would have kept out agüeros weak pen. but maybe blaming kepa only was harsh. He still needs to heed the managers call instead of causing unnecessary drama. Gulacsi is ok with his feet. I get this modern goalie stuff but i think long range passing in a gk is a bit overrated. Having a perfect shirt distribution andgood first touch imo is enough for a gk and gulacsi posseses that
  19. Frankfurt could have secured 4th place with a win today yet they crumbled completey...maybe not that mentally strong after all. They are a different animal away from home and we have to use this. From minute 1 we have to push them back on Thursday and score early so they lose their belief.
  20. I noticed that too. At that age he already has huge and stable confidence which is one of the most important aspects of a top keeper. HIs antics in the league cup final cost us the trophy tho i am sure Caballero would have won it for us.
  21. way to early for that but he surely is a great character. you could see how he lifted the team up not only today but numerous times this season and scored some very very important goals. Arguably the goal today and the goal away at cardiff got us back in the CL. When he is fit an in form he really looks like a quicker, bigger, more athletic version of Pogba.
  22. job done, down to the beach. i fully expect us to completely drop the intensity now and lose all remaining matches lol
