Magic Lamps

We will need goals so I hope to see us go out all guns blazing everyone of the remaining 4 games. It is just four goals to recover. the big problem is we got the way harder matches than Arsenal. But i have always said, win all the remaining matches and we will finish 4th or 3rd. Not confident we will win it all now the pressure is on. Since the last of our old spine, JT, Lamps, DD all left we have not been as mentally strong as we used to be. We threw away 4th last season and we are definitely capable of doing so again. Real shame we do not have greedy goalhungry players in the squad at all. Esp with Lamps Drogs or even Kalou around i would always trust us to come our with a 5,6,7 goal win every once in a while. We used to be known for either making a mess of games vs small teams (still are) or absolutely slaughering them. Usually if we went 2 goals in front teams would just roll over. NOw even at 2 goals up i do not feel comfortable. I want RLC to play, he is always good for a goal, CHO because he can make things happen out of nothing, Hazard obviously he got a bit of a rest vs slavia and maybe even HIguain, who imo is still a better fnisher than Giroud. And FFS if we still need goals late in the game, bring on Marcos Alonso FFS and let him play his striker-leftback hybrid game

You forgot Gulasci who has been absolutely sublime this season and made another big step after an excellent last season. He might look like an ageing salesman for vacuum cleaners but he is by far the best goalie in Bundesliga rn.

These are indeed the most pleasant circumstances we could be playing them in so I think we will win but they remain a very inconvenient opponent for us so I think it will be nervy. We do not need to rest anyone but still might with the next 2 matches after this one arguably the biggest of the season.

The game at Eintracht will be unreal. Unfortunately i can not be there as i will be in madrid that day but Frankfurt fans are crazy loud and they will push their team to the limit. The team is talented but even more mentally strong which is why i would have prefered a soft team like benfica who play nice football but are not pressing as hard. Frankfurt never give up and we have to concentrate 100% and focus on keeping the ball and letting them run. They play a bit like Wolves and we know how that ended for us.

tbf i never really was doubting we would get this over the line even after 4-3 not because we were so great but becasue slavia were really harmless if we did not invite them like we did for the goals. completely lost intensity allowing those shots. but once we concentrated again they were never gonna score

Agüeor is so incredible. how often have we seen that from him. amazing goal pure power and accuracy from an acute angel. he scored like 5 of those goals vs us and i remember many vs Utd, Arsenal etc. he just delivers in big games even if just given half a chance.

and you will probably never see any of our guys there ever play in the cl. I think while our youth teams are brilliantly coached, they are coached to be successfull and not for the players to move up in the first team. If this were to be the case there should be a coherent philosophy from first team to youth teams. but as we are switching the system of the first team every year with the coach there really can not be any consistency.
