How many goals is Cucu gonna cost us before someone takes him off our hands. 20? 30?
-
Ffs terrible defending. Cucurella fkin up the offside trap again Game over I guess
-
Wrong side. They have livra we have Reece . We did get save money by selling livra with a hefty sell on
-
Good lineup. Caicmehdo and Disasti are both average so good thing their back ups get a shot.
-
He is obviously perma wrecked. Never should have signed him after his Leicester injury. Even if he comes back the decent player we knew at Leicester the 2 years he lost to develop mean he will never be elite. Only good thing is we probably already recouped a good bit of the massive transfer outlay from insurance.

Our defending in these big games could have been better true, but we also were faced with better offences than usual. I think the biggest weakness remains our chance wasting. Both in the city game and the spuds one before the first send off we had more and better chances . Take some of those and fewer fingers pointed at defence. I think playing both Disasi and silva with their lack of recovery pace makes us vulnerable. Can only accommodate one atm. Also we are seeing Cucurella limits even when he is playing at his best again. Should consider playing Colwill at Lb and definitely Badiashile over Disasi for me.
-
Maybe that's the solution. After trying him as 8, winger, striker, false 9, no. 10 his best position is actually left back lol
-
He can but he would be wasted there. Needs to be the striker or just behind where he is at his best. Nkunku belongs in the centre. Wrote a piece about this in his player thread.

I think we and the PL overall woudl profit from a reduction in teams. Games like these or vs Arsenal, Tottenham are what makes ppl tune in to watch PL. the other half of the teams just park the bus against big teams. Even if they are successful like Brentford, forest etc usually vs us it will be a turgid game, atmosphere in the stadium goes to shit and ppl stop tuning in. Just reduce to 12 teams and have playoffs.

It’s not as if RJ is missing England doing anything noteworthy as long as Fraudgate is at the helm. It’s sad how another generation of talented England players is wasted by a clueless coach but at least we don’t have that many guys getting injured playing the waistcoats turgid football this time

I Wonder if mount will be the next dele alli. 2 good season and then falling off a cliff before even hitting peak.
-
Spurs were idiotic to do the two only things that make us score . Play a high line and give us pens. There is no way we score from open play against a deep bus. But hey at least sometimes we get lucky.
-
Didn’t see the first 4 disallowed goals. Were they legit?
-
One of the weirdest games ever. Could nkt watch in full but what I saw was chaotic We should obviously have used our pace better and scored more vs 9 but a win is a win, vs spuds all the sweeter. classic Jackson to score a Hattie and then fk up an easy chance, hopefully it still gives him confidence. Thought our midfield was ok but still so much immaturity all over the pitch. At least we can score from open play albeit against 9… still a nice training exercise. learning to make your advantage count and take the right decisions is always helpful when playing on the counter and we played the right risky through ball on numerous occasions

EL and cups are evidently great for stat padding but seriously can’t understand all the ridiculing of Trashford. Since he burst onto stage 6 years ago he has delivered double figures over all comps almost every season, filling in various positions. One of the few good things coming out of Manure during that time. Imagine we had a proper striker coming out of the academy with that sort of output.

As predicted, Bayern wiped the floor with Dortmund. Surprisingly, they also played scintillating attacking football. But this quickly became a sideshow when TT picked a fight with Lothar Matthäus in the post match and stormed out of the interview. Will be interesting how Bayern will deal with this. At this point not sure if TT is pulling a Mourinho on purpose by making this about a battle vs the media or if he is just so pissed he doesn’t care. But Bayern management hate this and will at some point fire him for this.
-
This one will either be a frustrating loss or a lucky draw but we will definitely lose to City
-
Broja is the same. A horrific finisher with good legs. This all would not be a problem if we had nkunku fit to mop up the chances but his injury has derailed our season completely. We have performed decently enough 80% of matches to deserve a win and would have done so with a clinical finisher
-
They won't. Bayern have not done too much wrong this season apart from last night. League position does not mean shit this early in the season. 23 points from 27 is a very decent return anyway. Leverkusen and Stuttgart have just been really lucky. There is no chance in hell Bayern won't have won Bundesliga by mid April 2024 but I don't see them doing much in CL tbh. Kane is flattrack-bullying them through the league and they are scoring for fun but defensively, esp. now with de Ligt out for half the season they will struggle in CL latter stages

The hype around him is nonsense. Maatsen has never in his career done anything of note on top level. He looked ok in championship or for U21. That’s it. He can’t defend well enough for a LB and he doesn’t score or assist goals so he ain’t a winger. Definition of a nothing player. If he did not come out of the academy no one would give a damn. We have seen this story gazillion times the last 20 years.
-
Maatsen is absolute shit tho. Totally fine with him leaving
-
Problem with Jackson is, when out of form he is absolutely useless and can’t score to save his life. If he js on form he is great on the ball but still needs 30 chances to score. probelm with Sterling is, he ja brilliant a couple of minutes every game and I Italy erratic and frustrating for the rest of the 85+
-
No way we win something with this lot anytime soon. The Arsenal game showed that even with a good performance, this team is scared of winning. Even if we were 3-0 up in a league cup final, this lot would manage to let it slip. Almost every player is immature and mentally weak
-
Everybody loves a comeback goal. Good finish from Big Ben
-
Fk off Sterling . Slowing down the attack and then passing to an opponent. Great job
