I d be amazed if they pull him to rest him. For sure they are gonna squeeze him out before he leaves. Small club mentality
-
On paper Utd are favourites but I think Inter can beat them. Then you should not write off Sevilla in that competition as well.

Well, I am super frustrated as well, so I understand you. After Anthony Taylor that corrupted waste of space, Lampard is probably most culpable for the team's failure. Still, I am gonna hold you to your word and here is why: I am under no illusion that Lampard is probably not a manager who will be here for 10+ years and win multiple titles with us. In fact, after what I saw from our defense this season and his tactics in the cup final, I would be pleasantly surprised if we win a single title with him at all. Yet, I am not gonna blame him for having taken his dream job, even if it was way too early for him. If any, we should blame the board to make him a PR stunt to maintain fan support amidst the transfer ban and than uninspiring Sarri intermezzo. Instead, I think we should just enjoy having a club legend being our manager and representing the club with dignity after all the crackheads. Even though I am not clinging to the romantic pipedream that he will win it all again with us as a manager, I am enjoying it while it lasts. So, I am not gonna try to stop other fans enjoying by constanlty and needlessly throwing him under the bus at every opportunity. Last but not least, Lampard has become our coach in one of the most difficult periods in the Roman era. Thanks to the boards incompetence, the squad is a bloated mess with no leaders and full of bang average over the hill players mixed with inexperienced prospects and injury-prone players. This squad is competing against pool and shitty's best ever squads in their prime. Realistically we can not be expected to win titles in the coming years. Still, Lampard has made an invaluable contribution already. By securing long-term deals for our best prospects and swaying young quality in Werner and soon Havertz he is setting us up for the future. A title-laden future that will probably be one without him as our coach but surely this contribution is more important than top4 with a bad or mediocre defense and a few points more or less.
-
Didn’t your say you were gonna stop taking digs at Lampard if he gets top4? this one is completely needless as well. also who cares if you think whether someone has earned his top flight job. Guardiola and Zidane clearly do not
-
Fat chance of that happening with him playing for Vizekusen
-
2020 CL and EL Title is really worth shit with all the inconsistencies and all. nevertheless, all teams who still are contesting will start next season with a huge chip in the shoulder
-
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52970103 bbc and constantin eckner have him on 175k
-
No he is reportedly on 170k gross, so half of what sancho gets before taxes
-
But they also beat Barcelona without salah and firmino. The klopp factor can not be denied. Instead of tinkering around they have a functioning system that works with interchanging players. If they really need to win the game, they can always rely on the ref as well. Still, i think City are big favourites for the title next season. They had a lot of weird slip-ups like vs Norwich but if they get in their groove again they will be unstoppable. They will buy a WC defender and shut up shop back there. They will go out with something to prove and relentlessly outscore teams like 2017-2019

Fulham hae usually been nice to us. Can only remember two or three instances where we drew at Craven Cottage. Leeds on the other hand I can easily see do the double over us if our defence continues like that.
-
Fulham return to the PL
-
Clear goalkeeping error again but what a nice feint everyone expected the cross
-
What a goal
-
Lol brentfords goalie is as clueless when leaving the line as Onana
-
That would be amazing. I can see Grealish flopping big time there. he has always been overrated and he has a problematic attitude off the pitch. Them throwing away 70m for that dude would be immense for us in the long term.
-
Yup. If we had coughed up the 120m he would be standing there and staring his lifelong love for Chelsea. Very few players end up at their boyhood favourite clubs so who can blame them being flexible with their affections
-
I remember the opposite that Boga always was the better dribbler and quicker so if one of these two would make it it would be Boga. Anyway neither really had a fair chance and will never play much of role for us.
-
good lad, great to see him fit again. Maybe we can find a good loan for him and then sell him for a decent price but never was chelsea material. has 2 more years on his contract soon rather move him on sooner
-
There would have been some merit in keeping him another year to ease the transition but the club must not be held to ransom. So the conditions under which he departs are perfectly understandable for me. His strengths and weaknesses have been abundantly discussed here so what lefts is to thank him for his decent service. I am not celebrating him leaving for it has been painfully evident how we struggle to keep the ball in the final third without him tho I am sure as hell not regretting his departure either.
-
Am I the only one who is not worried about Sancho. Yes he is nigh on world class. But where is he gonna improve Utd massively? By blocking Greenwood’s pass or are they gonna sit Martial on the bench and play Rashford through the middle which is not his best position. They had a perfect balance and are now jeopardizing it with this big money signing that will put pressure on it. If they sign better check and lb than us I will be worried
-
He will get a drubbing from which he might never recover tho. Maybe not ideal for his CL full debut. Also is it set in stone Emerson will leave? We need to find a buyer first
-
Reguilón and Alonso are completely different players tho. Reguilón is quick and very technical, can dribble his way out of the press. I would not be against it for a decent price. He and Chilwell are very similar. Chilwell is maybe a a tad more physical and a bit less technical
-
Damn Alisson got ripped off there. I still wonder why on earth our board insist on overpaying average players. Surely guys like Kepa, Drinkwater etc would have joined for half the wage as well Edit: pretty sure that site is bullshit. RJ just earnign 14k and Kovacic less than gilmour... improbable https://www.spotrac.com/epl/rankings/weekly/chelsea-fc/
-
Maybe. But it will be more than enough for the B-team we will be able to field vs them.
-
Most complete left back in the world IMO. Can even give Davies a run for his money. Sadly this is the exact kind of signing that will never happen
