  1. It was not a clear path for the squared ball. I respect his decision to take on the shot but he should have made it a powerful one. That’s de gea s weakness
  2. Ziyech not really a good idea for this match. Too many turnovers
  3. Rüdiger burning sancho for pace is a lovely sight
  4. How come 189cm Alonso is taking the corners?
  5. Their defence is shit and they are terrible pressing Cuntony is saving them big time with his shit calls we have tot Ake our chances. always the problem vs these shits
  6. 3dms that’s the kind of Mourinho shithousery. But only 2 quick players in attack. Need to prevent the counters and should be fine bad feeling bc of AT tho
  7. Not really comparable sample sizes tho. RLC has played a lot less. His stats are crazy good tho.
  8. Ngolo and Chilwell out is terrible. Not concerned about RLC bc he will no real opponent in midfield but Alonso + Jorginho playing is basically losing 1.5 players against the ball. Both are 100% useless when defending counters.
  9. I think @MoroccanBlue is right on this one. Usually surgery on the ACL will involve either patching the ripped ends together, which is only possible in case of full tear obviously or replace the entire ligament with one of the hamstring ligaments, which causes a significant loss in athleticism. Hence I think it would be foolish to have surgery esp when Chilly is already responding to conservative treatment.
  10. Mr true lol and absolute clown. Whenever he appears on tv, I switch will be interesting if Penaldo still holds that grudge vs Rangnick tho
  11. He has. Only sporadically for us as a result of late subs but has done so for Germany. He is quite good at it. I think he would be ok for a game or two as lwb but long term we need him as our LCB. Surely TT will looks for a more permanent solution.
  12. Rangnick is a fox. Very quick and sharp thinker. He might do wonders with ManUre. Dont expect him to stay interim if he is as good with them as he was in bundesliga. He won the DFB Pokal with Schalke, beating Bayern in the semi and then again in the super cup. Also lead them into the champions league quarter final beating holders inter 5:2. He has never had the resources of huge entity such as ManUre at his hand. Lets hope he does not know what to do with it. It is his frist time coaching in a non-german speaking country but his language skills are decent. 90% sure he will be a hit 😕
  13. Bensebaini has impressed me recently. I was not a fan of his over the years but he has been near pefect in the matches I scouted him in this season (Dortmund and Bayern twice). Was absolutely instrumental in all of them. Especially his finish for the goal that effectively kicked Bayern out of the cup was exquisitely taken and he got into good positions all game. Admittedly he is also not very fast but still quicker than alonso. My concern is his terrible injury record in the past 2 years (also suffered from bad Covid infection). Nothing too bad otherwise but a concerning accumulation of different muscle injuries and kept him out for quite some important games For Diallo I remember him very well from his time at Dortmund. Was an absolute beast for them at CB and kept that fragile defence more or less intact, esp in that Favre season where they made quite a decent title challenge (2018/19). He was much less impressive as left back, probably bc those absolute donkeys toprak and zagadou would then made a complete mess of everything in the middle. I expect him to look much better with decent cbs next to him. Not sure he is much of a wing back tho. Is a more conservative LB when employed there and not that adventurous. Has only played there for PSG bc Bernat is injured and Nuno mendes is still raw. Diallo is more similar to Azpi than Chilwell, his best position would probably be LCB. His pace and technical proficiency are sufficient for a LWB, he is just not much of an attacker mentally. Doubt PSG would sell atm as they don't trust Kurzawa and Mendes yet. Kurzawa is probably the player they would gift wrap for us but he appears to have attitude problems and I have not seen him play enough for ages (9mins this season and the 1300 mins last season were mostly vs shit opposition). He also is 29 by now. time flies.
  14. I know Borna sosa. He is a quite similar to Alonso. He is decent in the air, gets forward a lot and has a good eye for a pass and esp crosses. also a good free kick taker. He is not very strong in spite of his height and also not exactly fast (not as slow as alonso tho and moves the ball at a higher pace, can even dribble a bit). Arguably a slightly better crosser than Alonso as well but not quite the same level technically overall. He would not add anything new which is why i would give him a pass. Not a bad player tho. Just don't think he is the level required. I read Villa are in for him which would suit him better. Maybe if he made another step in his developmnt there he could be a long term candidate.
  15. Ake was a proven PL pro. Maatsen has only played in the cc. Albeit decent he has hardly set the world alight.
  16. Ramos is not even fit to lace the boots of Thiago Silva's shadow. ramos is done on the top level. Everybody could see as much when we played them clowns. The moment Kai of all people nudged him off the ball he went to ground with a look of pure desperation. Kai then proceeded to make step right over the ailing bug corpse on the ground not even looking down. That moment Ramos should have recognised his future as a footballer would remain in the dust on that very pitch. If the guy had any self respect he would have ended his career that day instead of dragging his undead legs to Paris to be a mascot
  17. So if we finish 2nd, bc of all the English teams on first we can only get real, Lille or Bayern as. so we should definitely finish 1st. Must beat Zenit. apart from Paris Bus Company no dangerous team awaits
  18. I am not against the idea but we both now that recalling Maatsen is never gonna happen.
  19. The choice is indeed slim and I dont see anyone available for cheap, even if we just loan (which would make no sonse, given we still have saul on loan who has played that position for ages) Below is the list of all leftbacks. Only wank after place 17. It is rumoured my top choice, theo, would cost 65m€. IMO absolutely worth it. Ferland mendy is someone real madrid have tried to get rid of before. Not sure on how much money he is on tho.He is a bit overrated anyway. Best choice would possibly be benzebaini. best age, scores goals, good in the air. can be useful as an alonso replacement. https://www.transfermarkt.de/spieler-statistik/wertvollstespieler/marktwertetop/mw/spielerposition_id/4 lol yeah but clubs always try to fleece us, nothing new. I respect your opinion but have to strongly disagree. For me Alonso is a poor player and catastrophic athlete who shold not be playing at this level with a deceiving purple patch every blue moon. As you say, his main weaknesses dont get exploitedin matches vs shit teams parking the bus but in PL there are a ton of matches against fast attackers who will be licking their teeth. Alonso will get absolutely roasted by ManUre on Sunday if he plays. I think the loss of Chilwell is the biggest challenge to our title bid this season. Cant see us winning the league or CL with Azpi or Alonso. Could possibly live with CHO there.
  20. Depends if it heals by itself. If it does we will see him again this season. If he needs surgery it will take ages. even if it is just 3 moths he will need another one to get match fit again. So should definitely be in the market in January
  21. It really did not look that bad on first sight. The mechanism could lead to an acl but he only slightly twisted the thigh inward and the lower leg is not actively rotated outwards against resistance that much either so I doubt it is a full tear . My wife is a surgeon and she thinks it is possibly a partial tear of the interior one and he will probably be out 3 months at best. A full tears would probably end his career at world class level. MCL full rupture would be 3months out as well but no surgery usually not required and full recovery probable. pain is not a giveaway tho. It mainly depends on how much the capsule got stretched. A buddy of mine fully tore his acl 2 years ago and still has not recovered even after 2 operations
  22. Unlike Chilly. We can somewhat replace Kante without changing the idea we play. For James it is similar. still those three and Mendy are maybe our most important players rn.
