  1. The Media are fucking idiots. constantly asking questions just to stir shit. i think he's been asked twice now about being quoted saying he would never manage a club like chelsea. those are just gossip questions designed to wind us up. What ive got fomr this so far is that it seems totally personal for Rafa. he wants to add to his CV with soem trophies. which, as an interim boss, is not htat bad a thing. he's motivated by his own goals, and for an interim, thats pretty good, he just wants success and that hopefully will have a short term positive effect...
  2. Just found out he has been given the Interim boss title. which is fantastic. what a manager to get to call an interim, this makes me happy. i was skeptic, but im happy with that. still dont see the point in sacking RDM, but oh well. Anyone else think the sacking of RDM may have been somethign to do with the whole racist incident and report with Clattenberg??? could be. I didn't really pay attention to rafa when he managed liverpool on account i dont like liverpool, could someone fill me in on typical tactics he uses? does he have a set formation that he uses or is he open to changing it depending on the opposition? if someone could give me a typical Rafa formation (and line up if you want) and some tactic pointers i would be greatful!!!
  3. 18 month deal lol. They are just saying that. Unless we win everyhting this season under rafa, he'll be gone in the summer (if he's lucky) then replaced by Pep...
  4. If this is just a short term appointment, as the media seems to suggest. I'd rather Avram. have some have pointed out, he's a friend of Roman, he's done it before. I'd rather have someone whos done it before and is a friend of the club. dont want rafa coming in and sabotaging us! If it is a short term option, i dont see why we didnt jsut keep robbie till the summer........
  5. Soon we will not be available to hire quality managers becasue from day one the job is Unstable!!!! RMD wasnt even doing that bad. i think most chelsea fans accepted this season should be a top 4 finish, and reach the knockout stage of the champs league, and although we've taken the hard way round, we are still up for those. We've dropped points in 3 or 4 games that were clearly down to Tactics (Last night, Swansea and QPR is what i can think of now) and the start of hte season was a bit dodgey tactically. the only problem RDM had was that he made us predictable and he didnt change up much. There were no suprises from us so we had become easy to defend against, It says the club will be announcing a replacement shortly... that leads me to believe they've had someone lined up and just wanted to get rid of RDM quickly (who was a short term manager anyway) so they could put this guy in. Rumours that its rafa....???? wtf!? thats not a step forward, or backwatds! If its pep, then fair play, but do it a bit more professionally next time. atleast wait till january/end of the season... I got some mates who are liverpool fans, and its just the worse! "your club ruined british football! we've got history! we made british football! you just buy the leagues!" etc etc etc. i fucking hate liverpool fans.
  6. I would love to have been in the meeting where they decided tactics and line ups. with THAT line up, and those tactics, its counter attack. the method we saw at the start of the season (the one that didnt work). the method that has a much better chance of working when Drogba is on the pitch. don't know what he was thinking. with our form of recent, it doesnt even justify 'riding our luck'. you cant play for a draw for 90 minutes... Should have started with sturridge up front. we should have played for a win and then atleast we mighth ave got a draw. Juve did play well to be fair to them, we didnt play massively bad, movement wasnt really present, passing wasnt that good but id put this loss down to tactics again this week. we just need to smash Nords, and hope Shakthar beat juve.... going to be a nervy night, On another note, Europa league: I think that would be the best thing for us. as many point out, we are in a development stage, we have a lot of fringe players who need experience in europe... we get in to the Europe league, we get an oppurtunity for our fringe players to play in europe, and i dont think thats a bad thing.
  7. Looks like the Media are trying to make our club crumble.... reports that there was a bust up in the dressing room after the WBA game, reports of torres being dropped for tonight which is going to upset torres. torres wants to go back to spain, RDM is up for the sack, We are liars for calling MC a racist.... they really hate us at the moment. really hope it has no effect on the team. See no reason why RDM should be up for the sack, so we've had a bad 4 game spell AVB had a bad 3/4 of a season. AVB is having a shit season at the moment, no papers want him sacked. Mancini had a bit of stick, thats died down. its all focus on us. god knows the kind of shit that will be flying around if we happen to lose tonight... hate it when it gets like this
  8. I watched the game whilst sorting out my dads laptop and i really dont know what to make of it. i think we had some bad luck. dont get me wrong, we SHOULD NOT be conceeding 2 goals. Luiz is having a bad spell. shouldnt have been beaten for that first goal, he just didnt look determined. we really miss JT thre for his organisation and determination. To be fair to west brom, they played a good game. they've have a great start to the season, and they are looking consistent. unlike ourselves. I must say, when i saw the line up today, I was relived. it was nice to see some rotation, it just didnt happen to work out. maybe mata should have started instead of Hazard and it may have flowed/been more organised. We missed some chances. Sturridge just looked as good as Torres infront of goal.... missed some sitters. Normally i would say that we will be ok for the champions league. its a different competition and teams tend to perform well despite there form in other competitions, however, against shakthar we were dodgy, in thel eague we haven't won in a few. im worried about how we are going to do against Juve. Having said that, when Oscar, Ramires and Mata eventually came on, we did dominate so that is nice to see. Mata has become so influential, and when he comes on as a sub, its so noticeable, he's fantastic. in the short term: We should have won this game, we shouldn't have conceeded 2 goals. but west brom played well and i dont think luck was on our side. the long term effect: horrible result, we could have gone second in the league today and its continued our bad run in the premier league which builds negative pressure and effects future games. Man united losing makes it a little better.... Roll on January and Roll on a new striker! (Even if its just getting Lukaku back!)
  9. my main thought is that we played better than we have in our last 2 games which is good. there was movement, people were making runs. I still dont understand why Mikel is attacking. its happening a fair bit at the moment. He's good defensively and awful when he attacks. so when hes up the pitch and we lose the ball, if he doesnt get back the opposition will get a chance. do what was being donw last season/beggning of this season and dont allow him to roam, leave it to Ramires! and ya id probably agree with those saying this is another RDM error. similar to that at swansea. I'd like to see Moses start for 1 of the three maestros and then use them as a sub, just to mix thigns up. people are working out how to stop those 3 guys now, we need to mix it up.
  10. our last two perfromances have been shoddy. We SHOULD beat liverpool, but im not sure. hopefully we asee a good performance. Vs swansea we were tired, it was clear, and tactical decisions cost us. fair enough. Vs Shakthar, we were just awful (apart from the 40th -46th minute). so static. poor defense. got 2 lucky goals. and the 3rd was an absolute relief. luckily, liverpool seem to not be the luckiest team at the moment. to be fair to them, they've played some good football recently, but they cant score. hopefully they dont find the goal, else we will be fucked if we play as poorly as we have been. really really really hope we win. i hate liverpool fans. they are the worst!
  11. In reference to the last part of your post: ivanovic At cb really helps defend against those. Hes got great awareness in those situations. Cahills not too bad, always puts his life at risk to block it. David has no idea though.
  12. Yeah right. Some guys on my row left early saying "no point staying for this shit" what mugs. I always go to games with my dad, and every time we contemplate leaving early, there's a goal. So we never leave early. Never. It was amazing when Moses scored. I was screaming so much. I was in the Matthew harding upper. In the corner (top right in reference to your photos) great view. Normally in the lower stands behind the goal so only get a good view of one goal, but up in the corner is a great view. Ramires went down in the box infront of us, so livid it wasn't given. Blatant foul. Ref was pretty bad tonight. Lower east stand for the nords game in December. Pumped for it! Ya I love that. Was so loud as well In The second half. Makes me laugh. That must get picked up on tv, surely.
  13. What a game. Being there, the crowd was nervy. Our passing was pretty poor, and we applied no pressure to them when they attacked. Made the goals so much better though. For 80% of that game we were shit. Our best football was the 5 mins before half time. When we had the ball we were so static it was pointless us even having possession. It was a lucky 3 points. I haven't seen the replays, could someone confirm if the ref got the penalty shout and mikels disallowed goal right please. Couldn't tell with the goal, but ramires was fouled right infront of me and couldn't see how it wasn't a foul. We were a nervy crowd tonight, but what a noise when Moses scored. Lost my voice! Was even better because of how poor we were, I scratched my program up so much out of frustration. Then boom! Love it (written on phone, Soz for any typos)
  14. U joking? All 4 of us will make a right rumble amongst the rest of the stadium!
  15. I think we should come up with a short n sweet talkchelsea chant and all chant it on the 20th minute...
  16. On my way to the bridge now! Gonna be a great game of football and the atmosphere on champion league games are incredible. I think we will have them tonight, but it'll be a good, close game.
  17. SO PUMPED for this game. Should be a great game of football. My main hope is that we see Mata come back, and Ivanovic at CB with Azpi at RB. thats the dream. my first game at the bridge this season with me father so im really looking forward to this! I don't think it will be easy though. Shakthar are a good team with some impressive stats, but I dont think they are defensively sound, they had huge determination with their home fans behind them which is why we had a tough time, but at the bridge i dont see them being as well organised. we should get a few goals. I think our defense should keep them out and we hsould out score them. 3-1 Chelsea. a fair bit of woodwork will be involved as well i reckon. and a couple of stunning saves.
  18. I agree with those saying that we are in a transition stage and not expect us to be title contenders.... but we played Swansea, we should have beat them. yes long term, a top 4 finish is realistic, but short term against swansea, that should have been a win. how cna you expect to be in the top 4 when you can't bag 3 points that should have been yours. as ive already said though, im totally happy with the excuse we were tired, but ultimately the majority of the fault lcomes down to the choices of RDM. its the first match in a while that HE has got it wrong. on the ivanovic topic: i thought Ivanovic was superb at CB. i voted him MoTM. the one moment i cna think off now that our regular CB have been failing to do is to cover the cut back. i cant remember who it was, but early in the game swansea attacked, got to the by line, then attmepted to pass it in to the penalty spot. our CB have been failing to cut that out, we saw shakthar do it, and man utd as well as others. our defenders just seem to carry on running in to the goal, ivanovic stopped is run and pulled back to cut out the pass. superbly read and great awareness. Cole isnt that bad IMO. he had a bad first half. but its the first and longest period of time ive seen him have 'a bad game; this season. But I dont see why Bertrand can't be rotated for him. or subbed for a direct swap with him. It would make perfect sense to rotate them. @Muzchap i totally agree with you on the using Marin as a sub. In pre season he added a little extra. he's capable of cutting in and feeding hte ball to someone. and he's not afriad to shoot either which is what we had a real problem with today. just fuckin' hit it! My prediction is that next season is going to be huge for Lukaku. he's so young yet looks so good. of course, due to his lack of experience he makes more mistakes than others (accept torres), but hes more quality than shite. I think Lukaku will be our next big thing in a few years time. however if we end up buying a massive striker like Falcao, i can see us losing Lukaku. He isnt one to hide his feelings, and he clearly gets frustrated when he isn't playing. same with Sturridge, and at this rate, i think we will be saying goodbye to him in january (which could possibly lead to us getting Lukaku back...) and if not january, his contract expires in the summer and it doesnt look like its going to be renewed. really hope he signs a new contract before january.
  19. I Think its important to give credit to Swansea, they didn't tire. very pressing football, a demanding tactic, similar to waht United used on Sunday, the difference is SWansea didn't tire, and i think thats mainly down to how tired we were and clumsy/slow we were going forward. To people saying bringing Bertrand on was the right thing because we were being dominated down that side.... why did RDM wait so long? the way i see it, if we keep an attacking palyer there, we are going to have more possesion and be dangerous on the attack. with a defender there, we are inviting them on and relying on our players defensive abilities. any anyway, in the second half Cole looked a lot better and was dealign with him better, it wasnt a good sub bringing bertrand on. it would make sense if it was a straight swap with goal, but it wasn't. We are an attacking team now, we playh with our possesion with our attacking players, you remove an attacking player for a defender that happens....
  20. Don't know what RDM was expecting by bringing on Sturridge for Moses. Moses contributes significantly to our defence. sturridge does not. sturridge should have come on for Torres, bad sub. Bertrand for Oscar was just asking for it. setting us up to defend, of course we are going to be put under pressure, you cant do this in the premier league any more, parking the bus is a risky risky tactic and needs luck, most teams are now able to break down these difficult defenses, and by taking of an attacking palyer for a defensive one, we just sit in our half, and eventually they will break through. stupid stupid subs and tactical changes and it cost us.
  21. HT: Cole looks tired. Hazard must be tired as he isn't looking as sharp. Oscar not really getting involved. Torres should be doing A LOT better. and Mikel needs to stop pushing so far up! the latter is the most improtant thing to change. Mikel pushing up is leaving us exposed, we are losing the ball very easy, and Mikel is rarely in his own half to help support the defence. when he has been defending though hes looked solid. Sturridge on at half time. then id like to see Marin come on after 65 or so minutes just to add some fresh legs in there.
  22. Even if luiz is fit, I think he should be rested and saved for the champions league. Wish i put Azpi in my fantasy team now, i was going to put azpi in for ivanovic, but really didn't think he would start. got a feeling hes going to start today, bag a goal and assist 5 as well as keeping a clean sheet. you heard it here first. welldone to anyone with azpi in their fantasy league team.
  23. geniunely can't wait to see the lineup. We've got players who played 120minutes, and we've got a huge champs league game on wednesday (my first game at the bridge this season!) so it will be interesting to see who starts. Im guessing Moses will start ahead of mata, Azpi at RB with Ivan at CB. interesting to see who starts at striker. I asked this on wednesday but never got an answer. why didn't Marin play??? i can see him coming on in the 50th mintue for either oscar or hazard assuming he's fit.
  24. exciting game. id say there was more negatives in this game than i like (performance wise) but it wasn't our strongest team. Romeu had a dodgy first half, giving away soem silly fouls, and of course losing the ball that lead to the goal. Defence was all over the place. Luiz doing some thigns he shouldnt and was punished for them. Cahill wasnt too bad, bit of aproblem with positioning. Azpi should have got a goal! awful header! defensively... Im not sure wether to say if it was good or bad. 5/10. I feel sorry for Moses, he's a great player, but will never be picked ahead of hazard/mata/oscar. i think hes wasted at our club. Of course, its great for us to have him as a player taht can be used as a sub and is there if we need to rest players or they get injured, but I can see him getting frustrated if he doesnt get some games. Im not going to have a go at sturridge, he had a bit of bad luck, got a goal though, hopefully he can do better. I expect him to start against Swansea, and hopefully he'll shine. Not sure Mikel's head was settled enough for this game, dont think he should have started tbh. good game. just got punished for defensive mistakes. I didnt look much through the forums pre match and during the match, but why wasnt Marin playing????? injured?
  25. the players know the ref has a mic, so if they heard him say that, then they have every right to come forward and say he did with the confidence the evidence is there. but if this person is lieing, then my god what an idiot. This is going to be horrible then. We'll now see how well the linesman and 4th officials can cover up for Clattenberg.... do you reckon they have all 'got each others backs'? it will be awful if mark is guilty, but the linesmen etc all said he said nothing, horrible ot think off it. if these accusations are bullshit, we are going to look like fucking clowns.
