C'mon Chelsea lets get in the game
-
Why are you worried Roman has already sorted this result - we could send out 11 Ivanovic's and still win
-
Yeah because that's all that matters right The performance - I have no words to describe. Every time I watch us play I just hate Mourinho that little bit more and to hear the bellend spouting bollocks in post match interviews is just bordering on Farcical. Did Jose go to North Fucking Korea recently or something? Hes acting like because he says it's so - it's true - dude WTF IT IS NOT ANYTHING LIKE YOU DESCRIBE!!! utter and complete garbage performances - no chances from open play - I mean seriously against the worst team in the league. One Swallow does not make a summer - and those of you believing this win will change anything will IMHO have a rude awakening over the next few weeks! I pray I'm wrong, but I don't think I will be
-
Well sadly they have (Press) been given plenty of ammunition this season. So like Hollywood sequels - the stories get constantly churned out. I'm annoyed with the club for allowing Mou to appeal - in the long run this will backfire. Every good General knows that sometimes you have to concede the odd battle here and there to win the War. All this will do is force the FA's hand. No way will they back down now. Arghh lets just hope the main talking is done on the pitch tomorrow - sick of the circus sideshow.
-
Let's just hope the ref's haven't been instructed to keep a close eye on him - I can imagine the pleasure the twats at the FA will have if he does something borderline and they can pounce!
-
Yes but we always end up too narrow Maybe that's because the FB's are not encouraged to overlap - but I hate our lack of width - it makes defending against us easy...
-
I see what you are saying - but I can't seem to get a balanced 4-3-3 formation right - always feels light Two banks of 4 is what we need to be fair - 4-4-2 - is more what I had in mind over 4-2-3-1 - or maybe 4-5-1 that's essentially the formations I have been messing around with.
-
Whatever the Reason - I think we are all agreed 4-2-3-1 is no longer a viable formation I would move to 4-4-1-1 with Willian/Cesc sitting in behind Costa Matic and RLC in the middle and Hazard / Pedro out wide That would be a little better IMHO and wouldn't leave us exposed in the middle between defence and midfield. Matic could effectively play in the Makalele role and RLC with his athleticism could be the runner (box to box) I doubt we would ever see this formation though - especially as I would have Azpi on the right and Baba on the left

Quality management Or should I say 'the best manager in the World'
-
Yes - and if you believe the 'backing' was anything other than a thinly veiled threat - you might want to research the success rate of other managers after they had also been 'backed' by the board and players! I don't consider this as moaning. I consider the well reasoned and articulated reasons laid out by members of a CHELSEA forum on why MOURINHO is not the long term prospect we/I had hoped for to be pretty accurate. Certainly, I have seen nothing to suggest a radical change is imminent, moreover, I expect more of the same and a continued bleating of previous success, whilst we languish in the bottom half of the table. I certainly think some people have a hard job separating loyalty to the Club and its employees.

Less Mou more New!!!
-
Well this season we may see the same picture of him WITHOUT a trophy - and the back of him as he goes to find another job! Only his Ego is standing between that decision
-
Does it matter when it was said? It's still a stupid, disrespectful quote to a guy that did a lot of good for CFC... That's the proble right there - Jose's massive ego!!!
-
I see Herr Mourinho is laying down the law again. So easy to scapegoate and bully probably the nicest bloke in the team! This will backfire catastrophically for Mourinho - mark my words
-
Lol... That's the trouble with 'popular' opinion... Like everybody who thought the earth was a flat object and you would fall off if you sailed too far into the sea! Popular opinion is often complete bollocks because it requires little or no effort to maintain the status quo. Like I will repeat - if you are all happy with the direction the club is moving in, the performances since January - then Jose is your man. If you require a little bit more than that, Jose isn't your man. I'm now firmly planted in the latter camp - (the earth is round and doesn't revolve around Mou's ego) Fair play to Liverpool - they saw a problem (Rodgers regressing) acted and it looks like they have got a great manager.
-
Strange - why do we automatically need new players?I'm more than confident that with a change of formation, dropping some players and bringing others in we have enough in our locker to challenge for the Top 4 positions. Let me caveat that by saying if another manager came in, picked on merit and expanded our attacking play we would be fine. We don't need a tactical genius - we just need a manager that understand attacking shape, pressing and pass/move - all the things we seem to fail at - it's like watching a Sunday football team. nice to see that since the Board backed Mourinho - people no longer want him gone. I wonder how many will change their mind if we lose at Villa. This - I will give him one more game - exercise is futile and the Board have dropped a clanger.
-
Because they are interested in him Saying you want a break then actually experiencing it are two different things - he can't turn around and say he's desperate to come back to football If we approached him - you know he would come here
-
Hollow threat - people won't give one shit if we play attacking, winning football with an identity However - winning the lottery 3 times in a row and being hit by lightning multiple times carries better odds right now than that of Mourinho changing anything.
-
Great post Choulo It's a conundrum - but I just can't see Jose turning it around - which is a shame. He has either regressed as a manager, or the world has moved on and left him behind - much like Capello. Klopp to Loserpool is a bad thing for us - I would have given him a shot here. Pep is obviously the finished article - but would he come here?
-
Yes but it's a totting up process. Like the Police - first offence normally equals slap on the wrist or caution. It's the fact that Jose is a constant offender and knows the rules - and in their eyes openly defies them. What else can they do? I agree they are a complete bunch of arseholes - but read my post again - I'm saying Jose knows better and needs to up his fucking game and stop reacting so poorly. Why hand it to them on a plate - especially as he was factually incorrect! That's my biggest problem - he was wrong about the referee - and now we (Chelsea) have consequences of HIS poor decision! So both on and off of the pitch his poor decisions are costing us!
-
Mate - C'mon seriously - I normally agree with you 100%, but this is Jose's own fault - he knows the rules, he knows the FA are hot on punishing him and he blamed the referee for the failure! Which on closer analysis was complete and utter bollocks as Southampton could have had 2 penalties. The reason Wenger gets away with it - is because he doesn't launch into a 7 minute rant. Fergie had the same problem - the trouble for Mourinho is all the bullshit that's come before is ever present and the FA like nothing better than him opening his mouth - why? Because it equals pay day for them - another £60k in the bank! Mourinho needs to smarten up and not be so sloppy in front of the cameras - if he had ACTUALLY told the truth - that his shit man management and team selection where to blame - he would not be getting charged. However, he palmed his failure off onto the referree - amateur mistake from a seemingly amateur (of late) manager... Some might call it Karma
-
Sigh - next the conspiracy theory will be out in full swing - yet another thing to blame
-
I do admire your optimism and like I said to @Iceboy - I will gladly eat my words, buy I just don't see it happening. Something is broken in Jose's mind and he can't seem to move forward. He's no longer a dynamic manager. He's too predictable and has no attacking prowess. Not one shot on target in the second half at home vs Southampton says it all. It's been a steady decline since the start of the year I just don't see him recovering
-
We won the Champions League? Interim is fine until the summer - avoid relegation and start again
-
Yeah straight out of the Tony Pulis hand book 1990's football here we come
