  1. He has passing, vision, movement,... but also, he works for the team, putting massive pressure on the opponent. And he has the physical abilities to keep doing this. Hope he'll come through the injury fast.
  2. Yes. This shouldn't even be a discussion. It's not about what some people think is more fashionable. You don't change the colours of your club just to adapt to the latest standards of taste. "Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months." - Oscar Wilde
  3. yeah but not that much better to make up for Ramires speed/infiltration/finishing
  4. decent but nothing too flashy. Sober play, short passes, low-risk. But adapts well to the speed of play and his short passing is accurate.
  5. don't forget Essien's part in the domination the first half. He will be missed in the second.
  6. this double pivot Ramires-Essien is stroooooong
  7. those little buggers press quite a lot
  8. relax dude, first 10 minutes of the pre-season
  9. I really do not want him, especially not for prices around 25-30 mil. He is over the top, already massively dropping in speed, which is essential for a lone striker. To play him as n° 10 is unnecessary: we have plenty of others for that position. For that kind of money, we could have secured a younger striker with more potential, higher re-sale value and frankly, more excitement. I am not saying that Rooney is not a good player: he has killer instincts, fabulous striking technique, a very good long ball too. Basically everything that's tied with kicking a ball (set pieces, passing, shooting), he is very good at. Hold-up play, transitions, etc., (movement): not so good. So: as a squad player, sure, but not worth the money. Moreover, he only provides depth where we don't really need it (and there are positions where new players are far more necessary).
  10. Suarez, definitely. Materazzi. Big up for Zidane. And for me, C. Ronaldo has a face and an attitude that awakens my Always dormant agressive side also. For the Belgian members: Olivier Deschacht. He has been a thorn in my side for far too long. Oh, and when he was a footbal-player, definitely Gert Verheyen. Much better now he's a commentator though. And a list of the following coaches: Georges Leekens, Franky Vercauteren, Ariël Jacobs and Hugo Broos.
  11. good signing I believe, with a lot of potential. I wonder though if he will be loaned out for at least one season in PL or Germany (as with KDB and Lukaku who were also young talents coming from lesser leagues when they were acquired)
  12. Pff Zinedine Zidane never scored more than 12 goals in one season and still, I would put him in every dream team I can imagine.
  13. When I read this about DLP, it really makes me think about De Bruyne, who has all these required skills, but isn't that apt defensively (but as you say it, that isn't really an issue). Hopefully he can develop into this role.
  14. This. Haven't we learned nothing of the Torres buy? You don't have to spend that much money on one player; it is uncertain that he will produce, and you can buy a really good striker for about 33% of those asking prices.
  15. The list of world class strikers that made a passage through the Dutch League is endless... El fenomeno probably the best one.
  16. I was a non-believer, but you make quite a case for him. Bring him on!
  17. now that Cavani seems to be of the table, time to focus on this guy imo. Just like I did in FIFA 13. Absolute beast.
  18. Kompany is no longer a talent imo, but one of the established world class defenders. Hazard is a bit in between, about to completely break loose, and obviously already more established than KDB and Rom. Courtois is indeed one of the other super talents in Belgium's squad, but Mou's choice to loan him out again guarantees that he will play next season and develop. The point I'm trying to make, is that I hope that keeping them at Chelsea is the right course of action - which means that they will have to get ample playing time and indeed, the possibility to play a bad match or two without being banned to the bench or worse. They are young players that need to play, so I hope that Mou has the intention to do just that. If not, this would be really bad for Belgium's NT, because I am sure that Lukaku, given enough action next season, will become a better forward than Benteke. And KDB has probably been the most influential player in our qualification campaign so far (in a team with Kompany, Fellaini, Witsel, Hazard and so on). It'd be a shame if he falls of the wagon.
  19. So Mou calls back KDB and Lukaku, two of the greatest talents in Belgium's NT. If he doesn't play them and blocks their development, with the WC coming up, he'll be the most hated man in Belgium.
