  1. i think he is using Chelsea for new contact at real madrid
  2. Luiz Felipe Scolari has promised Frank Lampard that he will help make his 'dream move' to Inter Milan become reality, according to reports. The former Portugal manager had talks with Lampard in the days leading up to taking over at Stamford Bridge and said: "If you're unsettled here, then I'll try to help you." However, he appears to have gone back on his word, for in his first press conference with Chelsea, Scolari said the England midfielder would stay for years to come. His latter comments would not have been welcomed by Lampard, who is said to have been upset with Chelsea's refusal to offer him a contract that would see him finish his career at the London club. A Portuguese source talking to The Sun said: "Mr Scolari agreed that there was no point hanging on to a player who didn't feel good about his deal. The last thing Mr Scolari wants is a player who is not 100 per cent committed." Meanwhile, Chelsea are now looking to sell Andriy Shevchenko, following a string of poor performances for the club since signing two years ago for £30.8 million. Chief executive Peter Kenyon flew out to Sardinia yesterday to hold talks with AC Milan's vice-president Adriano Galliani about a possible return for the Ukranian striker. Shevchenko has scored just nine League goals for Chelsea, but has still cost the club £130,000-a-week in wages. The 31-year-old does not feature in Scolari's plans and owner Roman Abramovich is said to agree that the time has come to let the player go. Galliani said: "Shevchenko has remained in our hearts."
  3. SCOTT SINCLAIR hopes Big Phil Scolari will give him the chance to shine at Chelsea next season. The speedy winger, 19, has spent the last two campaigns away from Stamford Bridge on loan at Plymouth, QPR, Charlton and Crystal Palace. But new Blues boss Scolari has already vowed to develop the West London club's young talent during his first season in charge. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle1409139.ece
  4. Roma's flying winger Alessandro Mancini will be Jose Mourinho’s first signing at Inter once the Brazilian returns from his holidays. The Nerazzurri’s £10 million bid has been accepted by Luciano Spalletti’s Giallorossi and Mancini will put pen to paper on a four-year deal worth £3 million per season. Inter’s recruitment supremo Gabriele Oriali has expressed his joy and declared that the 26-year-old, currently in his homeland, will make the deal official in the next few days. “Everybody’s happy with this business,” he told Sky Italia. “We are waiting for the player to come back from holidays to sign the contract.” Mancini will be an Inter player and Chelsea’s Frank Lampard could follow the attacking midfielder, as Mourinho is very keen on his former protégé. http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Foo...ni-joins-Inter/
  5. JOE COLE has taken a swipe at Jose Mourinho by insisting he can finally express himself in a Chelsea shirt under Phil Scolari. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle1405080.ece

  7. New Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is willing to give striker Andriy Shevchenko another chance to shine at Stamford Bridge, news daily The People claims. The Ukrainian star joined Chelsea from AC Milan in 2006 for a fee of 39 million euros but has yet to justify such figure, having been considered one of Premier League's biggest transfer flops. After two seasons in which he found goals extremely hard to come by, it was reported that The Blues were ready to off-load the player, with AC Milan and Barcelona emerging as possible suitors. But Big Phil, who was appointed as coach earlier this month, is interested in granting Shevchenko another opportunity to shine, this way pleasing the club's owner, Roman Abramovich, who orchestrated the Ukrainian's signing nearly two years ago. Scolari will have the chance to coach his recently-inherited squad for the first time in tomorrow's pre-season training. Shevchenko, who made just 17 appearances for Chelsea under Avram Grant, is expected to be given a starting role in the club's pre-season tour of Russia and the Far East. goal.com
  8. Steve Clarke is set to remain with Chelsea after talks with new manager Luiz Felipe Scolari. The Observer says Clarke will stay on as an assistant coach after meeting Scolari in Portugal last week. Clarke is highly regarded at the club for his work with Mourinho and his unsuccessful replacement, Avram Grant. Club doctor Bryan English also met Scolari last week for talks.
  9. Branislav Ivanovic is set to net Chelsea a £3 million profit by moving to Juventus, according to the Daily Mirror. The Serbian defender has yet to feature in the Chelsea first team, despite having joined the club for £9 million from Lokomotiv Moskow in January. The 21-year-old chose to move to Stamford Bridge in spite of interest from Milan, Inter, Juventus and Manchester United. However, in his first six months at the club, Ivanovic has played only for the reserve side. Ivanovic was lacking match practice in January, Russia’s off season, and has subsequently failed to dislodge John Terry Ricardo Carvalho or Alex from the first team reckoning. Despite his lack of football, Ivanovic is the subject of renewed interest from Claudio Ranieri’s side, who is said to be preparing to test the resolve of his former team with a £12 million bid for the Serbian. Juventus have already completed the signings of two defenders this summer; Olof Mellberg has arrived from Aston Villa and Dario Knezevic has left relegated Livorno in order to link up with Ranieri’s side.
  10. Nigerian International Osaze Odemwingie is of the opinion that English Premiership side Chelsea FC have caused damage to the career of his Super Eagles team mate John Mikel Obi... The view expressed by the Lokomotiv Moscow striker is one shared by several Nigeria sports journalists, who believe thats , John's creativity that so impressed the footballing world at the 2005 World Youth Championships, has been destroyed by the holding midfield position he has been given at Chelsea. "I think Chelsea has changed his game. He is not the same player he was and it’s difficult for him because he can’t play against what the coach tells him to," Odemwingie was quoted as saying by kickoffnigeria.com. Nonetheless the ex-Lille man thinks that his countryman can recover that creative spark if given the opportunity to do so. "Mikel is a very talented young man and he can adapt his game when he needs to. I believe that when he has more freedom, he will express himself more," concluded Odemwingie
  11. Arsenal's domination of the English women's game is set for a new challenge following the shock exits of Lianne Sanderson and Anita Asante to Chelsea. Striker Sanderson, 20, and midfielder Asante, 23, have joined the Blues' growing band of internationals. Newly appointed Blues boss Steve Jones has also recently moved from Arsenal - where he was reserve team boss. He said: "We've now got five England players and hopefully there will be a couple more internationals coming in." Jones added: "The women's team are starting to get good backing from above and these fantastic signings show the intent the club has got." "These great signings (of Sanderson and Asante) will tell the women's football world that this could be the place to come and play your football." Asante said: "We're positive about what we can do here. "The players already at the club have the same ambition as us to win things, and hopefully with us coming here they'll feel we've got a greater chance to do that." Chelsea have yet to win a major honour, while Arsenal have collected an incredible 29 trophies in the last 16 seasons. Yet Asante and Sanderson, both products of the Arsenal academy and both with the club for a decade, were happy to make the move. Sanderson, the Premier League's top scorer for the last two seasons, said: "Anita and me have won everything at Arsenal and we wanted a new challenge. "I've been there for 11 years so it's not been an easy thing to do to leave them. "But Chelsea are an up and coming team and hopefully I can make a positive impact." Arsenal manager Vic Akers is reeling from the rarity of losing two top players to a rival club and he is critical of the way he learned of the situation. "The first I heard about it was when I got a text from Lianne," Akers said. "You think you've the respect of players, and then they do that. It's a sorry state of affairs." But Sanderson explained: "I couldn't get in contact with Vic at the time, but I had various conversations with him last season about how I felt. "He obviously didn't realise I was as keen as I was about leaving, so when I told him it came as a bit of a shock."

  15. Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has refused to rule out a move to Inter Milan when quizzed over his future. The Blues insist they have received no bids from any club for the England international despite reports suggesting Inter are ready to offer him a four-year deal worth £7.1 million. Lampard, 30, who has one year remaining on his current contract, is currently enjoying the sun with his wife and children on a luxury yacht cruising off the coast of Italy. Lampard looked happy and relaxed as he ate an ice cream and browsed stalls at a street market in Taormina near Catania, Sicily. "Inter? Let's wait and see," said Lampard when questioned about a proposed move. "For the moment I am here on holiday with my family. My future at Chelsea? I don't know anything yet. "Italy is a beautiful country but I am not due to meet anyone here." http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...3758860,00.html
  16. Sources close to Stamford Bridge suggest that Chelsea will dump Frank Lampard in the reserves for a year rather than allow him to join Inter Milan. Lampard has been linked with a move to Inter Milan for several weeks now, following the appointment of former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho as the new boss of the Italian champions. France Football claimed on Friday that Lampard had signed a four-year contract with Inter, worth €7.3m a year, and that the Nerazzurri would pay Chelsea a transfer fee of €9m. This deal has not become official yet though, and there are reports emanating from Stamford Bridge that Chelsea are fighting tooth and nail to prevent the player from leaving. Indeed it is even said that if Lampard refuses to sign a new contract in West London, Chelsea could decide to let the player rot in the reserves for a year until his contract expires in 2009. Lampard would then be able to leave on a Bosman transfer as he would be a free agent. Inter have made the signing of a top class attacking midfielder their summer priority, and they are also believed to be on the verge of capturing FC Porto star Ricardo Quaresma. Goal.com
  17. Deco will announce that he is set to sign for Chelsea this week and hopes to complete a move to Stamford Bridge to join Luiz Felipe Scolari by Friday. The Portuguese midfielder will replace the outgoing Frank Lampard having mulled over whether to go to Inter or join his former national team boss in London. Despite José Mourinho taking over at the San Siro, Deco has chosen to try his luck in the Premier League and the formalities should all be verified in the next few days. Barcelona are keen to push a deal through because next weekend sees the club's fans vote in a referendum to decide if the current board stays inplace or not. If president Joan Laporta loses that vote, then elections will be called and an interim set of directors installed who cannot carry out any transfers, in or out of the club. Deco was told during the season that he could look for a new club after the coaching staff and Txiki Begiristain began to lose patience with his battle for form. According to reports, the 30-year-old was warned about his fitness and attitude midway through the 2006-07 campaign and although things improved slightly, his inability to return to the player he was three years ago cost him his place in the squad. Pep Guardiola announced in his first press conference that Deco was not in his plans and from then on it was a case of waiting for the player to be available after the European Championships to discuss his next move. Scolari was always keen to take him to Chelsea and with Lampard now set to move to Inter, the long-awaited merry-go-round has started.
  18. PREMIER LEAGUE new-boys Hull will launch a £2million bid for Chelsea's teenage defender Ryan Bertrand. The England Under-19 left-back, 18, spent last season on loan at League One Oldham and then Norwich in the Championship. The Canaries want Bertrand to return to Carrow Road this season, but Hull are prepared to offer him regular top-flight football.
