These are the only world class players imo Neuer, Courtois, De Gea Lahm, Alaba, Ramos, Godin Busquets, Silva, Hazard, Iniesta Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, Robben, Muller Suarez, Costa, Aguero, Lewandowski
-
nah a full strength Barca team would deal with them again.
-
who are these 'glory hunters' that you are referring to?
-
i am starting to feel sorry for him.
-
he called me one also, i think he just learned the term 'troll' and is just going around calling people trolls who dont have the same opinion as he does.

Lukaku deserved to start? no he never! pre-season performances do not warrant you a automatic place in the team. The players he had to compete with were never going to keep him out the team in the long term, the guy had no fight in him at all, very weak mentally, just look at Costa he was willing to spend a season playing out of position in 2012/13 because he believed in his ability and believed he would get his chance to prove himself at Atletico, and look what hapened he was excellent and scored 20 goals while playing out wide or behind Falcao and the following season after selling Falcao instead of buying a new striker Atletico gave Costa his chance and he took it and scored 36 goals en route to the La Liga title. Look at Remy if was competing with players of Torres and Eto'os level then no doubt he would have played himself into the starting xi with his goals from the bench, that is all Lukaku had to do was get his head down, work hard and take his chances and no dount he would have got into the first xi. yes it is, Everton is a big step down from Chelsea, Lacazette is at one of the best teams in his country and playing in the CL, so that is an awful example, fact is Lukaku is not going to develop into a world class striker playing for average managers surrounded by average players, its not good for his development at all, i dont care how many goals he scores at Everton, its one thing scoring for a mickey mouse team who compete for nothing and a completely different thing to do it for an elite club who compete for every throphy and have pressure to win every game they play, against teams who raise their game when they play against you. Lukaku is too weak mentally to ever make it at one of the very best teams in the world, imagine if he signed for Man United for example and then the following season Man U sign Aboubakar to compete with him, then LVG starts playing Aboubakar over Lukaku, what is Rom going to do? he will start to sulk and cry and ask to leave, and will just end up taking a step down again and end up at a team like Tottenham or Wolfsburg, Lukaku isnt cut out to be at a top club. oh so you believe in the theory that Lukaku wouldnt have been given a fair shot at Chelsea? well guess what neither was Harry Kane given a fair shot at Spurs, Pochettino was adamant on getting the best out of Soldado and Adebayor but Kane forced his way into the Tottenham team he made Pochettino have no choice but to play him, if Lukaku had the right mentality he could have done the same, but if it helps you sleep at night you keep thinking he would have been a bench warmer here.

you can hear a pin drop in this thread. I wonder why?
-
its just so perfect for you
-
because none of that means anything to me, i dont even know what you are talking about, and stats dont tell the whole story
-
yeah because what i am saying isnt true is it? more like you have no comeback because you know i am right
-
No i think you dont understand, Lukaku was seen as a one of the best young players in Europe who had potential to be world class, he came to Chelsea and couldnt handle it, now he has spent his time developing at mickey mouse teams like West Brom and Everton, developing at those clubs will not make him a top striker, Ronaldo prefered to develop at a top team like Man United rather then staying in his comfort zone at Sporting, Kaka done the same he chose to move to Milan and take his game to the next level rather then take the easy option and stay in Brazil, same with Neymar, same with Hazard, same with Isco the list goes on. But Lukaku decided to take a step down and not challenge himself, which is why he will never be one of the very best strikers. and you are deluded if you think Lukaku would have been a bench warmer here.
-
no he said our 1st half performance was -1 and then praised our 2nd half performance.
-
its called protecting his team! how can you not see that? He will obviously be telling them something very different behind closed doors.
-
a win and a clean sheet would make it Jose's 200th win at Chelsea and 150th clean sheet.
-
oh dear, there is no denying Lukaku didnt want to compete with Torres and Eto'o, it was a perfect situation for him to grow and develop at Chelsea, you are deuded if you think he wouldnt play, as i said if he just kept his mouth shut and worked hard he would have been 1st choice in no time ahead of Torres and Eto'o but he would rather take the easy option, and not fight for his place and play for a team with no pressure, that is why he will never be a world class striker, look at Costa he settled for playing on the wing in 2012/13 as he is strong mentally and believed in his ability, he knew he woud get his chance to be Atletico's 1st choice striker and he took it and had a better season then any striker in the world has had in a long time, scoring 36 goals and winning La Liga. Lukaku is happy playing for a mickey mouse team, who challenge for nothing! Ronaldo was becoming a star at Sporting Lisbon and could have stayed there a few more years playing every week and staring in the portuguese league, but he is also strong mentally and backed his ability and came to one of the biggest teams on the planet and ended up becoming a star there, Lukaku is weak mentally simple as that, he will never become a top player as he doesnt have the right mentaity.
-
Where are the Aguero fanboys gone? Apparently Costa offers nothing when he doesn't score and Aguero does. Its actually the complete opposite! Very good performance from Diego, unlucky not score, but his all round play was excellent, on another planet to Lukaku's all round game, so the Lukaku fanboys have piped down also, there was a reason why Costa was able to have such a good season in 2012/13 playing on the wing and behind Falcao because his all round game is very good, to many clueless people were quick to judge him when he wasn't in form, once the players around him start to wake up then the goals will start flowing again.
-
very true, we only won 4 PL titles in the last 11 seasons, with the squad of players we have had in the last 11 seasons we should have won more, and the main reason why we didnt was because of the lack of stability.
-
Cesc is a great passer, with great vision, who put in the right system would thrive. if we had this midfield for example Cesc would look outstanding every week Verratti - Matic Fabregas you keep ignoring the fact our system doesnt even suit Fabregas that is why he needs protection, swap Fabregas with Thiago and Fabregas would look incredible for Bayern, and Thiago would look just as bad as Fabregas in this current out of form Chelsea team. and yes players should cover for Cesc! that is how a team works! our RW has to help our RB, our number 10 has to drop off and help our Midfield, our LB has to tuck in and be less offensive to cover JT and our DM has to help Cesc out! thats how it works.
-
you was talking talking about your mexican boys who didnt even start, i was the one who mentioned not wanting to see Ivanovic up against Brahimi. We were lucky Brahimi wasnt 100% fit.
-
so you judge how creative a player is based on how many through balls they play? great logic, yes Cesc isnt great going the other way, but the fact is Matic is the guy who should be helping Cesc to not get exposed, same way Azpi made sure JT was never left isolated last season, there was a reason why we wanted Pogba in the summer, we all know Cesc isnt suited to playing in a midfield pivot your acting like this is somthing new but Matic hasnt helped him out, and we havent been able to control games, Cesc is clearly a top player, but is currently playing in a team in bad form while playing in a system that doesnt even suit him, the answer isnt to drop Cesc the answer is to find the right balance in midfield.
-
please stop embarrassing yourself.
-
looking out to see if our CM plays a through ball is not something i take not of every game, all our games in the past few weeks seem like a blur to me, but according to whoscored.com Cesc played a through ball in all of those games i mentioned, and why are you even so obsessed with whether Cesc plays a though ball or not, he is a CM not a number 10. and no if you checked my prefered line up Matic and Pedro were not in it.
-
i dont see dropping our most creative players as the answer, i dont mind the youngsters playing, i dont mind Kenedy starting over Pedro, or RLC ahead of Matic, i just dont see the logic of dropping Hazard and Fabregas and thinking we will play better.
-
Hazard hasnt been anywhere near as bad as you make out, and yes we would be worse with Kenedy in the team ahead of Hazard
