It's a shame how the first thing you say about a young fella who just returned from a lengthy injury is sarcastically saying "Better than Cesc doe..." Especially when it's a ligament tear.. like he can do anything to prevent that. Petty.

Ouuuu I don't know man... I mean, Thiago is a quality player and he's one of my favourite youngster due to his beautiful technique (much like Isco) but I think Isco will be a better player and has a higher ceiling. I would not be surprised if Thiago becomes Spain's captain in the future (although the likes of Cesc and Busquets will be around) but in terms of Spain's star player, I'd have to say that would probably turn out to be Isco. For instance, at the U21 Euro's, even tho Thiago won the Player of the Tournament, I think you'd agree Isco was the better player throughout the tournament. Thiago's hattrick in the final was what made his win the Player of the Tournament imo. Both class players tho... kinda segued from the whole Cesc topic tho ahah

Definitely not the same player as Cesc but he's another Spanish talent, like Cesc was and like Mata was. Imo he is THE hottest talent in European football at the moment. He's on the same boat as Gotze, Neymar, Oscar, and even Hazard. Only, he's only had ONE season where he was top class and in that season he almost took Malaga to the semi-final of the Champions League. Since then, he's been screwed over by Madrid. But yes, I do understand that he's different from Cesc, but as @5354 said, he's another Spaniard that I wouldn't mind at the club. In fact, one that I would love at the club

Isco!!! Rotting on the bench at Real and still shows he can produce magic like this when he is playing. A little different for Cesc, more like Hazard one would say but another Spanish gem!!

Games after the international break are always weird and tricky... Will be a difficult game no doubt!
-
Usually starts scoring more and more goals as the season progresses... Was absolutely magnificent from about November onwards last season, without really playing well at all before that. Still think its f'd up how he's only scored 2 goals since the 6-0 game But, I can only see him getting better from here on in. Brilliant Eden

89th minute winner from 30 yards wow wow wow

Stamford Bridge set for major redevelopment?
Mustafa replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Chelsea Articles
Would be really weird playing home games away from Stamford Bridge tho... -
Very very technically gifted player! He's still very young and Chelsea could be the right club for him :blue scalf: Just because I know people will compare him with Oscar.... I think Oscar is an all round better player BUT Draxler, if he develops properly and reaches his FULL potential (which Jose could very well help him reach), I think he'd be a better player. I think he just has the ability (more so than Oscar) to win a football match for his team with one moment.

Appalled at all the "fans" who are saying 'fuck Lampard' and even 'fuck Drogba'.... If you see this post, and you are one of those people, take a minute and remind yourself if what they have done for Chelsea Football Club. Smh....

I WANT US TO WEAR THIS TOMORROW!!!

Not too upset about the game. We didn't win but atleast we didn't KILL ourselves trying to get 2 extra points which we probably won't REALLY need at the end of the group phase. We don't face Schalke away till matchday 5, so if we win all of our games from between now and then we're already through. On the plus side, we didn't have to put in nearly as much effort in as City did, to only lose in the last minute So that a positive, I guess. Side-note: I have to bring up Draxler. The guy was fucking immense. That run at the end of the first half... Then his little flicks and neat turns! He was just awesome. If we ever do ship Oscar out to PSG, I would love it if he was his replacement. Him or Isco He's only 20 *feints* so much talent!!

Decision making is still not great. He was great tonight, but if you look at it this way.... He had atleast 5/6 1v1s today, and only ONE of them resulted in a goal. Compare that to (not Messi or Ronaldo which we all agree are only comparable to one another) Neymar or even Bale (who I don't rate very highly), and I assure you they get on the score sheet once, if not more times. I made a prediction a day before the game that Hazard would score against Schalke because of the intent and desire he showed against Swansea but today- although he wasn't nonchalant- he was super inefficient when he got in and around the box. His assist for Cesc was superb. I thought he'd just tear them apart from that moment on wards but he struggled a bit... not knowing whether to pass, to shoot, to take the defender inside or take it to the line. I'll tell you right now, his performance was great tonight. Probably him and Filipe Luis were the candidates for the MOTM. BUT if this guy can figure out how to convert those 1v1 situations into goals/assists on a more regular basis, HE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY UNPLAYABLE. People say that he is unplayable now, which is a bit of a reach in my eyes, because if he isn't either racking up the assists or hitting the back of the net, then that statement is a bit exaggerated. I repeat, if he can figure out how to convert those 1v1 situations into goals/assists on a more regular basis, he will be truly unplayable. But hey, he's only 23, right?
-
Personally I think the Mata-Hazard combination was more beautiful. Simply because they are more alike than Eden and Cesc...and cuz they played in more or less the same position (behind the striker). That being said, Cesc-Hazard will probably be more effective.
-
Exactly! You don't have to look far to see us under-performing and fucking up... Remember Basel last season? If we're thinking about resting players we can also do that by looking to put the game out of their reach early on (with our best players on the pitch). So then the likes of Cesc and Hazard can just walk around the pitch without tiring themselves too much. I'd much rather that than playing Mikel, Salah etc. and a repeat of Basel last season
-
His attitude was top class. He showed hunger, which we were a bit surprised at... That can't be a good thing right? Nothing more irritating than a player who just doesn't show up sometimes and is passive af! I really hope we get to see more of THIS Hazard for extended periods of time. Consistency is the word.

Doesn't look all that ugly in this pic Also, when was the last time someone won the Player of the month Award in their first month in the league?? Has to be rare...

Identical to his goal against us last season.
-
The one game I don't want the man on fire really, Sigurdsson to be good. Fantasy PL in mind of course. I JUST WANT COSTA TO SCORE EVERY BLOODY GAME!! MORE GOALS!!
-
We were ahead the entire game. I guess he didn't need to... But that's not really a good sign. When your star player switches off and plays at 50% because his team has taken a 2 goal lead. I can remember him taking on his marker twice all game. The first created the goal and the second didn't do much. But yes, he was definitely reluctant but I guess it was justified.
-
Yeah probably. He doesn't really play good against Everton tbh. Sheamus Coleman definitely is a big reason why... Nevertheless, he was poor tonight. Just goes to show that the consistency is yet to appear from Eden
-
Same goal but including the celebration which was absolutely classss!!! I don't know why, but I like strikers 10x better when their celebrations are quality haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7EIO_Afzkc

I hate to state the obvious but, Falcao is FALCAO... and Destro is, well, Destro. Still don't understand why people seem startled by the loan fee. I mean this is a. Radamel Falcao (who makes about 250 grand/week) and b. A player of probably the wealthiest team in the world in terms of money they can invest in the club. (just have a look at their training facility ffs http://i.imgur.com/qoy0YP7.jpg ...Its a million times prettier than anything in the UK)

Plot twist: We keep Torres and while Diego Costa is out he finally becomes the Torres of old! Ahhhh starting with Everton on Saturday. Bangs in a hat trick!
