RDM is a motivator and IM sure he will pump the players up by matching Arsenal with offensive setup, we will not be afraid and we will catch them with our offensive force. He will surprise us with a line-up of hazard - oscar - mata rounding up the 3 attacking midfielders and mikel and ramires as pivots. RDM had been experimenting with this kind of setup for 2 consecutive games and evidently it was fruitful against wolves. Oscar will be marking Cazorla defensively and ramires will presure Diaby. Im sure many of you will dismiss this idea but i feel we should be more proactive than reactive what arsenals tactics.

I hope oscar starts with a 4-3-2-1 formation like this Cech Brana - Luiz -JT - Cole Rami - Mikel - Oscar Mata - Hazard Torres

Sometimes RDM surprises us with his first 11(Ferreira-Benfica, Bertrand-Munich, Meireles-Newcastle). I'm feeling Oscar, Hazard and Mata in th front three.

Too bad Zenit is in group C. Was hoping they were grouped with ManUre.

Cahill and JT as CB's, as I feel they are more mature and more capable of holding our defense strong. I think we should experiment with two DM's as Pivots with Romeu and Mikel as good ball handlers, ball winners and good covers when fullbacks such as Azpi and Cole tries to overlap. Oscar will be the link up from Defense to Offense and i believe could give an extra hand to our defensive side. With these three players Oscar and 2 DM's in the middle they will keep the pressure and more than capable of controlling the midfield. The key is to control the midfiled with Oscar and Mata linking up and give a smooth transition from defense to offense. As usual Mata and Hazard free to roam and interchange position and Hazard will stay up high to generate offense. I would like to give Danny a try with CF role and Torres subs at 60-70 minute mark.

Its not easy to create goals when your opponent is in a bus like defense. The only way i see itviscwe didnt put pressure when AM have possesion. Nobody wants to win the ball, just jogging around watching the ball not the players movement.

Spot on! Too much space and too deep forward both pivot players. How would you protect the defense in case of counters when you are too deep forward?

Everyone was playing crap that game, but the more distinct problem we have and not just that game is we are bad against fast counter attacking teams. Brani and Lamps were too slow, maybe their positioning or maybe they are not the right players for that position. This meireles against lamps are not new at all, in fact there was a spell last year that we won consecutive important games with meireles at starting 11 and super frank at the bench.

Falcao is an excellent signing but to be honest its very hard to score against a bus like defense of AM without any of our players not doing any penetration and just passes around waiting for AM to loose composure which definitely didnt come.

I heard delta airlines will provide us jumbo jet airplanes that we could train inside and play an 11 a side games and its so fast that we could reach ukraine by 95mins. I agree with the iniesta comparison and i would add up like a modric role in to it. Not entirely as double pivot player but instrumental into the build up. Just like modric he doesnt have those amazing stats but the impact of his role is far greater palpable with the results. And i also agree he will have his needed rest after the supercup. I just watched the game again and the main diffference i observed was mikel is much better partnered with someone like meireles who is always available for passes. Meireles positioning lets hazard, mata and bertrand not to play deep too often to get the ball, he didnt linger in the box and made late runs as often as lampard did..

Would had been better if he scored, but overall it was good performance.

Looks like RDM is being more defensive and worried about cisse and ba. Maybe a good decision or maybe not, but im more concern about meireles in the pivot role.

I have this feeling someone from newcastle will get a red card.
