Yeah i honestly cant see arsenal winning this... I hate wanting arsenal to win, but we kind of have to... I would take a draw there.
-
Lol that is an unfortunate name...

I think i am trying to hard and over analysing things. I.e. not putting mata in yet due to upcoming games etc. I will continue to perseveres though as this one is still fun and i am in a £10 pound entry one and a about 100 points behind top spot. Still very early days though just need to start moving up. And already used my wildcard, so doing 1 transfer at a time is LONG!!!!

Complete Bellend FTW

As i said ealrier for me its frankie, but its just a random list the top 10 are all true chelsea legends, lets all just be pleased with that...
-
Already there mate... I was shocked and thought it was a miss print... I know liverpool at home and all that, but 1. newcastle are a better team and 2. liverpool have already lost to west brom 3-0... I have taken 4/1 on the DNB... Good luck, crazy odds imo.

Yeah 1 fan and all of a sudden "All chelsea fans are racist." He really is a prick as well. Firstly its wrong Secondally he was technically insulting more of our players than theirs (Not the point but still pretty idiotic for a fan) Thirdly he is bringing more Bad media attention, at a time when we are currently already at the forefront of media attention.
-
LOL, you legend...
-
I was wondering why the fuck we had a sudden influx of newbies going nuts in the capital one cup thread...
-
I am not saying anyone has forgot them. Every chelsea fan should know who peter osgood is, but you cannot deny that based on when you started supporting chelsea/your age your memories of players will be completely different from those you never saw play and those who you did...
-
And when someone thinks of their hero's its hard to just pick someone out of history who we have all seen in videos but not seen over the course of real time, play and develop in every moment. All many of us have seen, perhaps i should only speak from my experience, is people telling me what thye were like and extended highlights of their career. Of recent players, mainly because of my age i have seen week in week out, when they have played badly, when they have played well, and enjoyed all their successes with them... Which is why a greatest list is always gonna be somewhat biased.
-
Yeah i get where you are coming from, but this has been the most successful era in chelseas history so when people think off greatest then they are always gonna think of things like that in recent memories... Also it will always happen. In 20 years time, the top 4 will be completly different based on the people at the time as everyone has short term memory in this regard.
-
Yeah but i never saw him play, for me it started with zola, wise, petrescu, di matteo, vialli, tore andre flo, desailly etc which along with my dad supporting them got me into supporting chelsea and then we got lampard who i have seen from his very first game to where he is now and he has always been my hero... Also give it a few years and he will 100% have one.
-
Lol, torres at 39 is a joke. He shouldn't be anywhere near this list.
-
I can see why he was voted there and he is definately one of the greats, though for me it has to super frankie, due to everything he has achieved for us, and his goalscoring record is unbelievable for a midfielder and he is the biggest legend of all legends... SIR FRANKIE LAMPARD.

lol what an idiot. http://sport.uk.msn.com/video-clips?videoID=1j43egyj1

I look forward to the day where on the field issues dominate the news and not off the field issues... TBH its all playground stuff... HOWEVER, i am not saying it is right to call someone a "black cnut" or anything like that, but is there really the need for the amount of coverage these things get. They should recognise it and then hand out their ban or fine. If it happens again the punishment goes up.. But for it to be in the news for a year is soooo extreme. And now the clattenburg thing etc. No one also seems to care that the words that were used... I.e. The Cnut part. Now that happens but what i am saying is that i find it extremely strange that no one cares about the abusive language that occurs all the time in football, yet as soon as someone puts a word such as "black" the whole thing gets extremely out of control. (Again not saying that it is ok to say it but there comes a point where you have to move on). I do agree with Hybrid angel that there does appear to be a difference there at times, though we shouldn't be condoning any of it. But the extent to which some has gone... I.e. Getting the police involved was absurd. My mates call me worse than that and we just joke it off, but surely there is a better use of police time and taxpayer money. In the heat of the moment things get said, i.e you are a describe the person here, whether it be a nationality, race or attribute, i.e. you are a spainish/white/fat/other various name calling etc.......... Most people have said something like that in the heat of the moment... And there gets a point where someone has to apologise and move on. HOWEVER!!!!!! Things like monkey gestures/chants are of a different nature and should be dealt with much more seriously.

You can do though it depends if you want some security on your bet... The thing i would say is that arsenal will still play a weakened team and although they will beat bradford their next game will probably be vs norwich or villa or us so could well trip up... I probably wouldn't, but its up to you. How annoyed would you be if somehow arsenal won and you lost the 100 quid.

Chelsea lodge complaint about Clattenberg
Hutcho replied to bababoom's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Yep but our club is always in the media spotlight especially over racism allegations and that idiot hasn't exactly helped matters. So now we have the whole JT saga, then the clattenburg thing which is yet to blow up then we have one of our fans doing it... Like WTF, if you want to have a go at the united player then call him a wanker or whatever... All clubs do it, everyone moves on etc... But making a gesture that would insult half of our own players is just absolutely ludicrous. -
Totally agree, vorm is an exceptional keeper, probably top 5 in the prem and he will be greatly missed by them, and it is a big positive in our favour.
-
I would probably go with that. I would maybe play Azpi/Dave at RB, but then Ivan obviously didn't play midweek so shouldn't need resting really, and although azpi was good yesterday, it was only 1 game against a weakened united team so we will see. I still would play cahill and luiz. As you rightly said Ivan hasn't played CB for a while, and luiz has been better this season even if he was frustrating yesterday.. Also the way they play and the speed of the buildup play could be countered by luiz's pace providing he uses it going backwads and not running forwards... Definately agree on the mata/moses thing... Mata has been our best player in our last 5/6 games and although i doubt he is suffering fatigue why risk it and if we can keep him fresh then thats a great thing for us (Not sure he will be rested though). Moses played exceptionally and could well have played his way into a start. The one change i would definately make is to put moses on the right and hazard on the left, not that it really makes a difference as the 3 always float about. Torres has now seen that he is not the only striker we have so hopefully that can produce a better performance from him with danny to come on if needed. P.S. I would also reccomend playing a keeper as they are often pretty useful..
-
Well this thread got extremely sarcastic just then but anyway... Daniel sturridge hasn't played many games for us in his "Preferred position".. In fact i don't remeber the last time he started a game leading the line before yesterdays game, so no matter how much we want him to do well it takes time. He played pretty badly early on, messing up some great chances especially a beauty of a chance created by moses. But after that he played better. He also did create some good chances, most notably to moses who should have scored. So whilst he didn't have a great game, i think we were all expecting too much. Danny will be annoyed he didn't do as well as he could have done as he hasn't been getting many oppertunities, but hopefully he will get more chances to play and torres will start to perform better.
