I think you can tell his quality when many people are saying he has played ok, and has 2 goals and a lot of assists (dependant on whether you count penalties as assits or not). The fact he may not have performed at his best, and yet has still done amazing (imo) is great signs. We have 3 amazing creative players. Last game i thought he played well but Mata stepped up even more. Against Juve, Oscar shone. If 2 can have a good game while one has a great game then we are gonna be very happy people; and if they all turn it on at once then we are in for a right treat. But back on the subject, i couldn't be happier. Great team performances as well as individual performances, for his first season in the premier league. Lets not forget people that whilst he is often compared to the likes of santi Carzorla, he is also 6 years younger than him. That is a lot of time, experience and improving that can be gained, whilst in my opinion already being a better all round AM.

kagawa is off unfortunately as he was having a pretty bad game. i expect ba or cisse to score in this game still but whether they can get enough to salvage something from this game is another matter.

I think it depends where you get it as some places count winning penalties as assists and some do not. For example in the fantasy premier league dream team that counts as an assist. On other websites it doesn't etc.

TBH, i think a lot of these thoughts came after the QPR game where we all saw our poor performance and the likely cause of it, which was the defensive winger and rambo on the RW. Since then RDM has adressed those issues, and now we are seeing a amazing trio of oscar hazard and mata who have all fitted together nicely as a 3, with a lot of freedom in thier own respective roles, and no longer is rambo at RW. Rambo then moved to play with mikel and we saw a great improvement defensively and in ball retention. In todays game we saw the return of the lampard mikel partnership though tbh i think that the partnership in question doesn't limit us on offense and only on defence which against the lesser teams we can greatly use to our advantage. Overall though he has implemented the wholesale changes we wanted to see and although all of us have our own personal ideas about some minor issues (Like perhaps norwich being the perfect game to give azpi a start over ivan) he will never be able to please everyone and thats not his job to. People can say what they want about him, but 6 WINS 1 DRAW. TOP OF THE LEAGUE, is all that matters right now.
