I dont even think it was a foul. He came in hard but his studs were down and he got all the ball. He didn't help himself by being square on and when he slid his other leg came through but wasn't near wilshere. I can see an argument for it being a foul but it was never a red.

I don't think we need too yet, he never really missed a game for newcastle and still was consistently good. Our schedule is a bit more hectic but he is used to playing europa on thursdays etc... For me i would play our best players then if we have a 2 goal advantage at some point then take him off for torres... Rather than playing fernando then possibly digging a whole for ourselve which means he has to come on to try and dig us out off anyway.

Yeah, i tend to agree with the thought here. For me, he is frank lampard, and whatever he gets paid wouldn't concern me, but i would love him to stay whatever. He can definitely contribute and proved today his value, and looked extremely fit as always, and was unlucky to not score more.

Well, i can't see that being true, but if it is, what you are telling me, is that we can offer a humougus managerial contract but can't even give lamps one which would cost about 1/13 of the price. (Yes he is just one player etc) but that is a stupid amount of money for a manager. Whats to say he won't get sacked after a year and the club will be paying 35 mil to get rid of him or something... How much does the likes of mourinho earn or SAF?
