Why is everyone so obsessed with resting mata every few games... No one ever says, we should rest azpi or ivan after they have played a few games in a row... Resting is important to keep players fresh but not to the extent that it seems to be suggested. We have 3 more games before we get back to a bit more normality in having a game generally once a week. If he desperately needs to be rested for some reason then it would have to be southhampton but i wouldn't rest him for any of them games.

Its an option but with mata being the man main atm and his position being in that central cam role i cant imagine him being shifted out on the right. I definitely think it would be a good option for when he isn't playing or as something different to change to... But i can't see us reverting to a 4-3-3 as our default formation for quite a while tbh.

Also he'd be useful to chuck up top if we are in need of a goal in the last 20 mins and play something like that mikel/luiz moses/oscar mata hazard fellaini ba

I was like OMG we have signed him, but alas no, though i suppose we seem much closer than we have previously. 27 mil seems a bt high i think, but not extortionate for him. Also, his versatility would be very useful as well as another tall powerhouse, and another belgium which fits in nicely. I hope it happens.

I will be very intrigued as to what happens when big JT returns. Will he just do a like for like with Cahill, or will ivan go back to RB. I would just put Terry in for cahill but we will see.

sweet FA (hopefully)... Lamps may be pissed off at the board, but he loves chelsea and the fans and we all love him with many people rating him as the greatest ever. So i find it incredibly unlikely he would jeapordise that to go to united and be a bit part player like scholes and giggs. If he leaves, i reckon it will be with grace and somewhere like the MLS. If he leaves and i hope he doesn't i hope he goes to somewhere like the LA Galaxy, and regurarly comes back to visit the bridge.

If torres starting means Ba starts in the prem game then i am fuly on boad with that. If torres starts vs swansea then starts vs stoke i will be annoyed... Espically when ryan nelsen had torres in his pocket for a whole game. What do you think is gonna happen when he goes up against one of the best defences in the league...

We have some of the most exciting Young players, including the likes of KDB and curtois but as you said not counting them. I would have to say I am really looking forward to seeing chalobah coming up (hopefully a future captain and the man to follow in JT's footsteps). Josh is a good player but i don't feel he will make it here tbh. He will probably end up going elsewhwere and make a name for himself as a bit of a scotty parker type of player. Piazon needs to bulk up a little bit as he looked a bit lost when he got a rare start for us but time is on his side and he is still young. Kalas is another interesting talent who we willl need to keep a close eye on. Bruma has the potential but is not on the level as the likes of chalobah at the moment in my opinion. All in all, the future looks extremely bright however i do worry a lot of these wuality youngsters will get lost as a lot tend to do as we go for proven success and buy in the talent than trust our yungsters which can be a real shame... Hopefully a lot of these get a good chance and can make the first team... And especiallu Chalobah who i would love to see start integrated into the first team for the 2014/15 season and our next long term captain, as he is quality at the moment and will hopefully keep getting better and better.
