Tbh, we have been getting twitter reports saying he is coming, so some saying he is going doesn't really change much. We are not supposed to beleive everything on twitter so they could be as much as a guess as the ones saying he is coming.

Yeah but then you could say what happens when the next manager whoever it be's gets fired, theres no guarentee whoever it is how long they will actually stay as much as we would all like some stability manager wise.

But thats what players get paid these days... We wouldn't have got him if we said we are only paying you 60k... And can you blame him. Its not like anyone is gonna try and find a job and not try and maximise their wages. If we didn't pay those wages we wouldn't get that calibre of players, and neither would any team, unless they have some relationship with the player that is pre-existing. Like being a supporter of them or something. And some people have said that after the team give bad performances. What value would mean they wern't overpaid. 50k a week is a shit load of money, if they don't put the effort many would still class them as "overpaid". To the teams we are competing with our wages are on par, and that is just the way the situation is.

Who cares what he is on... The way football is, means that good players cost at least that much in wages. Whether footballers deserve to be paid it as a whole is irrelevant in this situation because they do... Do footballers really deserve to be getting paid 200k a week? No imo! But thats how football is... So does he deserve that a week. Hell yes! Relatively speaking he has done much more than what others who get paid a similar amount to him have done. And if we didn't want to pay that i am sure City and United would have snapped him up quicker than you can blink.

Players who can be here a long time. 3. Resale value Mata is already considered the leader of our attack and the "wise head" and he is only 24... Hazard is showing signs of greatness and he is only 22. Lukaku 19. Oscar 21. KDB 21. Chalobah 18. Azpi 23. Courtois 20. That's 8 of some of the highest rated young talent under 24... All of whom could potentially play on the same team, and could be here for a long time. Because of that we don't need to break the bank every single transfer window.

He is good. But not worth the shit load he would cost. Would rather have lukaku or hazard or mata over him easily.

Seems a good player... We don't particularly need him right now but if we can get him cheaply then great... He will have great resale value whatever happens. Also a bit different as he offers a lot more height to midfield. Not exactly a big deal for an AM but still, not a bad thing.

We can afford him, but it could effectively see Lukaku's chances of succeeding herre diminish, as he can't expect to go out on loan or bench sit for 4 years.
