Why would i be bitterly disappointed? I have already said several times i would rather we didn't loan KDB, but i don't see it as as big an issue as many make out for the reasons i have already stated such as: 1. Re-sale Value. 2. KDB gets to be star of a champions league team and gain valuable experience. 3. Schurlle gives us an alternative option Just because we all rate Kevin highly doesn't mean the club will just put him in the first 11, so in truth he could be just a squad player for this season, so i don't see a problem with his loan deal. Selfishly/impatiently, i would love to see him come here straight away under mou, then become a world beater and play alongside Mata and Hazard but it doesn't always work like this. Schurlle is another option, so it shouldn't be a KDB vs Schurlle thing. They are both Young talented Chelsea players. (if this goes through).

Torres + 30 mil would be an amazing deal.

Was 6/1 a couple of days ago:

Would be pretty funny after all this, it doesn't happen. Though i can't think of a transfer that has divided opinion so much recently.
-
Don't see a problem with overloading on quality young talent. Competition for places is useful, and i would rather see someone fo the talent of Oscar or schurlle coming on to change a game than Marin. If in a years time we don't particular want xyz we can move them on for similar to what we paid for them so i don't really see too much of an issue. No one we sign will impact Mata or Hazard negatively, which is the most important thing.

Lets not forget, (If this actually goes through) KDB is Just going on loan for a season at a club with CL football, where he would probably be their main player. That will be some great experience to have. As much as we all love KDB, there is no guarentee he would be a starter straight away, and would for this season could just be an extra option, so i don't think a loan deal will have a negative effect. If anything it could speed up his progress. Also Schurlle is still young. He is another young investment we have. He cost 20 mil, but we can sell him for the same fee. Thats not the same as if we were to buy a 28 year old who would probably be on the decline by the time we sold him. Imo he is better than Moses, adds another dimension to our attack, and can play as a striker if we need him to. Its not like we have just decided to swap KDB for Schurlle.

Oh wow, please be true.
-
A. They are completely different players, so comparing ability is pointless... B. He hasn't been at his prime for 4 years. Also, how do you know that. Schurlle is only 22. Whats to say he still can't improve. And finally, because he is only at that age, we will be able to sell him on at a later date if needed for a similar sort of fee, if not more, if he performs well.
-
And Andy Caroll cost 35 and Torres cost 50. Neymar only had 1 year left on his contract, and was always going to barca at some point.
-
They all switch round atm. Tbh, i am of the opinion that Schurlle isn't as one sided as people make out, and i honestly dont think that hazard is less effective on the right.
-
Well i have played with torres before and he doesn't lose the ball every 2 seconds.
-
I would imagine our First 11, front 3 would be Schurrle Mata Hazard Once Schurlle is settled in.
-
I am inclined to agree with this tbh. As much as we all rate him highly, realistically he may not get that much game time, especially in his preffered positon, wheras on loan he can go and be the pinnacle of that team, which still has champions league football. The impatient guy in me, wants him to come here straight away, but i think the move will be good for him, and won't be detremental to him at all.
-
So he is like sturridge with better work rate. Sturridge is a very good player with a lot of potential as i am sure he will probably prove with liverpool. So a sturridge with better work rate sounds goof to me. Don't get how he is a poor mans sturridge but whatever.
-
Gives us something different, is a part of a great German team, can play at striker as well. The price tag may be a little steep if the reports are true, but tbh i am quite happy with this signing. Loaning KDB back isn't great as he could play here in his own right. We lacked squad depth last season, and Schurlle gives us a bit of a different option. It's not an area that was most important to be strengthening, but the window is gonna be a long one. Another good quality signing, who should fulfil a role. He also will have tremedous re-sale value, so rather this than buy a 32 year old, who we wouldn't be able to shift if we want to sell him down the line.
-
Yeah, but its great when its official. We all know it, and believe it and expect it. But when it becomes official then we can really enjoy it.

I went to log on this morning. Couldn't get on, so I was like, perhaps it has been announced... Close. But not exactly yet.

And @ldn. I know their needs to be friendlies etc, doesn't make them less annoying. And put problem lies in the lack of proper talent. Just think 6 years ago when we had 2 of the greatest midfielders in lamps and gerrard. A young rooney who was gonna be a world beater, JT who was one of the best centre backs and the unquestionable best left back in the world. Now we have a team full of premier league squad players. With only a few exceptions like wilshere, hart and possibly sturridge. We can play as many friendlies in the world but it's not gonna make us world champions. I just want a bit of soul back in the team, rather than half of the man u team, consisting of the players who aren't that good for the most part.
-
I would probably play somthing like: Hart Walker cahill Jones cole Carrick wilshere Walcott Rooney Young Sturridge Pace wide. Rooney in his best free role. Carrick is ok in there and wilshere is one of the only stars we have. Defence is still extremely shit but unless the fa want to give jt back the captaincy like they should (obviously won't) I can't think of any better options. Sturridge up front simply because he is the best option we have. He isn't a great finisher but then I would rather have him there than defoe. Lampard super sub. But we know full well woy will probably go something 4-4-2 ish with miller wide and gerrard in the middle and all sorts of weird crap. Like welbeck upfront.
-
Yeah rooney was pretty good. Tbf, he generally is against lesser opposition (no offence Mak). The back 4 has always been a concern since JT left. And the midfield is always a concern. We have pace, and width which is the only real positive atm, and some quality youngsters. Can't wait to see Chalobah in an England shirt.
-
Oscar is being left out for the simple reason of Mata is obviously not getting moved, and we are extremely narrow on the right without a proper winger there. He can play CM, though if we are gonna buy a CM, which everyone hopes we do, then they would get played in their primary position (especially given as this is all hypothetical, and everyone is hoping that Modric, or whoever is signed, in which case you can't play Modric and Oscar in the pivot as that is suicidal. If we bought Bender/de rossi/ Witsel, then Oscar could play alongside them in there. Its also hypothetical, most of the players mentioned won't ever wear a chelsea shirt. When we know what we actually will have to work with for next season then i am sure these will all change drastically.
-
Have you seen us recently? We have rooney, Lampard, cole and some random MoFo's. Oscar has more talent in his left foot than our whole sub bench. But we are gonna smash you.

I'm pretty proud of the way i dodged the fact i wrote repiblic of Ireland were in the UK. It was totally intentional
