I know John Crawford got the "gun" at Walmart. The store he was shot in. Like i said cops messed up. Sorry but i badly constructed my sentence regarding Oscar Grant. What i meant was that, according to the cop, the cop wanted to grab his (the cop) taser and taser Oscar Grant but made a mistake and grabbed his gun (by accident) instead. I know but that's how the justice system works, innocent until proven guilty. You have to be able to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the cop did in fact want to kill the black victim. Otherwise you risk convicting an innocent person of a (racist) murder while it was in fact an honest mistake or unfortunate accident. Well okay but what's the alternative ? Whenever a white cop does something to a black person you automatically assume it's a race thing ? That's no good. I mean you realize that right ? I've had mixed run ins with cops. Some of them were alright, good guys just doing their jobs. Some were indeed like you say assholes. (White people can be just as big a dicks to other white people.) However there's still a Grand Canyon sized gap between being an asshole and being a cold blooded racist killer.

How would you manage the current situation?
Belgiannutt replied to stroey's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
No reason to panic but i'd like to see us rotate the squad a bit more. -
Drogba/Remy Schurrle Fabregas Salah Matic Ramires Luis Cahill/Terry Zouma Azpi Cech Matic didn't play vs Newcastle so he's well rested. Fabregas is suspended vs Hull so he'll be able to rest after this game. Courtois, Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Ivanovic, one of Cahill or Terry and Costa get a rest.

I don't know the details as well on those cases as i did with Eric Garner but John Crawford was apparently carrying an air rifle. Cops messed up there i think. They should have given him a warning instead of immediately opening fire but again this doesn't look like a racist thing but a mistake from the cops. Oscar Grant: the cop said he wanted to grab his taser instead of his gun. Again it seems like the cop messed up but it doesn't look like he was a racist. The cop just fucked up big. He lost his job for it and went to jail. I understand what you mean Iseah but how do you proof that they subconsciously reacted because of race ? It's impossible to know that. Only way you could would be if the cop has a history regarding allegations that he was being racist.

Why ? Because he was a big guy and he was resisting arrest. That's the thing. They did try to go for his arms to handcuff him but he resisted. He swatted their hands away. Only after that happened did the policeofficer use the chokehold. When you resist arrest the police has the right to use force. The chokehold lasted for 5 seconds. When Eric Garner was on the ground and his hands behind his back the cop let go of the chokehold. They didn't pin his head on the ground. Another cop had his knee on the back of Eric Garner to make sure he coudn't get up. That's police protocol, you see that all the time, to ensure that the suspect can't get up and start running or fighting again. Again, Eric Garner was arrested multiple times for selling cigarettes illegally. This isn't harrassement. You do something illegal cops are gonna show up and arrest you ! He wasn't minding his business, he was selling cigarettes illegally. So they were just supposed to take his word for it ? Come on now. He was selling cigarettes illegally. His wife admitted it. He didn't have a job he was selling cigarettes illegally. No they weren't looking for any reason to arrest him. He was doing something illegal. When you do something illegal cops have the right to arrest you. How can you be so sure that it was about his race ? What proof do you have apart from your own opinion ? Police is all about race ? You can't be serious. So cops are out to get black people is that it ? Cops in NY are all rascist looking to arrest black people ? Come on, that's just ridiculous. That's the main problem, a lot of black people believe cops are out to get them. Lik i said in my previous post it's a vicious circle. Where in my posts did i say racism doesn't exist ? It does exist. However that doesn't mean that when a white cop shoots or hurts a black person it's automatically because that person was black. More times then not race doesn't matter in situations like that. Problem is that a lot of people seem convinced that it is, without any proof besides their own prejudice towards police officers. Sure cause racism is such a difficult thing to understand. Sorry but you don't need to be black to understand racism. I'm not teaching you about racism. I'm just saying "don't always jump to the conclusion that it was a racist act"

Iseah, he was selling them illegally. The store owner called the cops. What were the cops supposed to do ? Tell the store owner "Sorry but it's just cigarettes so we're not gonna do anything." How can you speak of harassement ? Eric Garner was doing something illegal... When you do something illegal, cops are gonna show up. When you continue to do illegal stuff cops are gonna to continue to show up. This wasn't murder. The cop held him in a chokehold for 5 seconds until Garner was on the floor. When they had Garner's hands behind his back he let go of the chokehold. It's really clear that the intent of the cop was to subdue him to the ground so they could arrest him, not kill him. Do you really think the cop wanted to kill Garner ? I don't. What happened to Garner had nothing to do with his skin colour. If he were white, the cop would have done the same thing. I know that that is just my opinion and not a fact but i've seen no proof that the cop would have reacted differently if Garner was white. Have you ? Main problem with these situations is that there's a lack of trust. The moment a white cop shoots a black person (or does anything that ends up hurting a black person) , black people (not all black people but a lot of them) have made their mind up about it, "The cop was a rascist, hatecrime, he shot him because he was black". There's no more room for "the cop made a mistake (cops are human after all), an unfortunate accident (like what i believe garner's death to be). Problem is that this is a vicious circle. If a situation happens where a white cop shoots a black person. Black people get more distrustworthy of white cops. Black kids (again not all black kids) see the news and think "white cops are rascist, out to get us so i'm not gonna cooperate with them or else i'm gonna end up dead. They get more rebellious towards cops which results in more situations where accidents and mistakes are more likely to happen. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2563445/Georgia-teen-holding-Nintendo-Wii-controller-shot-police-thought-holding-gun.html This is an article about a female cop shooting a white 17 y old boy holding a Nintendo wii controller. Kid opened the door with the controller in his hand. The cop thought it was a gun and opened fire. Now could you imagine what the aftermath would have been if that 17 y old boy was black ?

I think it had to do with Drogba coming on. We started hitting long balls into the box rather then play it around and look for an opening. Fatigue probably had something to with it aswell.

Sorry guys. I know this isn't gonna be a popular opinion but i've watched the video of Eric Garner's death and the cop only had him in a chokehold for about 5 seconds. Not long enough to actually kill him. Seems to me like he had a heartattack from the commotion. It just looks like an unfortunate accident to me. Not murder.

Three Chelsea fans got the chance to play FIFA 15 with/against Hazard at Stamford Bridge. https://vine.co/v/OJhzrZ2lJng https://vine.co/v/OJh7g5UBZPm https://vine.co/v/OJhK3D26P5b

I feel DeBruyne should be playing on the 8 next to Witsel. We're lacking someone from deep that can orchestrate our play. We're playing way to slow and i think that's why a lot of our attacking players move into central areas and move towards the ball. Witsel, Fellaini just aren't good enough on the ball to find players in tight spaces. They constantly play easy lateral balls but rarely play forward. I think one of our Belgian reporters said that of the 54 passes Witsel gave only 4 actually were forward passes. I mean that's just pathetic. DeBruyne on the 8 would also help the problem of Hazard and DeBruyne getting in eachothers way. DeBruyne would still be a lot on the ball while Hazard could come inside from his left wing and drift between the lines.

Oh knock that shit off. He didn't do or say anything wrong. He complimented Cech and stated the obvious. Cech is likely going to leave and no worldclass goalkeeper would accept being second choice.
-
Wasn't Azpi playing right wing in that game and Willian playing on the 10 ?
-
Don't forget about : This a match compilation against Croatia. He had a good game and gave a number of great passes. If you're interested in passes you should check it out. I don't think you're really going to find a video compiling all of his passes. They're usually just mixed in with videos focusing on his dribbling and goals/assists. This video below focuses on his passing the first 3 minutes or so.

What ? You don't like Kim ?

How about this one ?

Saw this link that was posted in WAGNH. It's an article where Rene Meulensteen talks about what kind of training he made C Ronaldo do to improve his finishing. Thought it was very interesting given the discussion people have been having about Eden's finishing. Hope Mourinho's doing something similar with Hazard. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/real-madrid/10272433/The-secrets-behind-the-development-of-Real-Madrids-Cristiano-Ronaldo-revealed-by-Rene-Meulensteen.html

There was an Interview with Musonda. I'm only gonna translate the most interesting points. -Does Mourinho talk to you ? Mourinho talks or calls me every 3 days. I also train with the first team 3 days a week since mid last season. It's unbelievable training with so many players of international class. -What's your favorite position ? On the 10 as an attacking midfielder. -How is John Terry with the youth players ? Fantastic, he's a true captain. I think he has the phonenumber of every youth player and we can come to him with anything. It's unreal. When i saw him on television i never expected him to be like this but in real life he's a really friendly guy. -In what way did you improve at Chelsea ? I'm more mature about how i play now, I also play more physical. Now i play with more efficiency. My dribbles have to have a purpose. -On instagram we see you a lot with Eden Hazard. Is he a rolemodel ? Ofcourse, but he's also a good friend. We talk a lot with eachother and hang out a lot together. He really is a great guy. He's also my rolemodel. We also have somewhat of a similar style. Hopefully i'll soon be on the pitch alongside him. -Last season there where rumors that you'd be loaned out to a Belgian team but you immediately denied it on twitter ? Yeah that's not happening. I don't wanna miss my chance at Chelsea. Being loaned out to another English team ? It's a possibility but noone has ever said anything to me about that. Link to the original interview for the people that can read dutch. http://www.voetbalkrant.com/nl/nieuws/lees/2014-11-12/charly-musonda-jr-ambitieus-in-2016-bij-de-rode-duivels-op-ek

Please stop. Ronaldo only scored because the goalkeeper messed up. The shot was straight at the goalkeeper and he just spilled it into his own goal.
-
Don't bother mate apparently every shot Hazard takes needs to be a goal or else it's poor finishing.
-
Every penalty taking style has its risks. Perhaps, perhaps not. Pure speculation at this point. We'll see what happens next time but i'm finding it a bit cheap that you're doubting him so much. He has a 27/30 succes rate which still puts him up there with the best penalty takers in the world but apparently that's not good enough for you...
-
Please tell me you're kidding...
-
I think Iseah is right about Hazard just being exhausted when he took that penalty. He was catching his breath before the penalty and after it you could see him putting his hands on his knees and inhaling and exhaling quickly, still trying to catch his breath. Honestly he's kicked 17 penalty's like that in the PL. Don't you think that if they could they would have already figured out Hazard's technique and come up with an effective counter ? Exhaustion led to a drop in focus which led to the poor penalty.

? Am i missing something here ? 1st year 2012-2013 2nd year 2013-2014 3rd year 2014-2015 (this season) 4th year 2015-2016 5th year 2016-2017 After this season (2014-2015) he'll only have 2 seasons (years) left on his contract ?
-
Well this is his 3rd season here and he signed a 5 year contract. So after this season he'll have 2 years left on his contract.
