After the Sandy Hook shooting i've given up all hope on America sorting it out. I mean let's face it if a bunch of 6 and 7 years olds getting slaughtered in their classroom doesn't cause people to act then nothing will. America will do what it always does after mass shootings. Pretend they care and then move on to the next mass shooting while jerking off to the second amendment. Some consoling words for the families. Media will say it's not the time to talk about gun control. NRA fuckers will pop up and go "if only the people that went to the concert had guns" because more guns is always the answer to everything.

The moment Morata went out he lost the only support he had. Looked visibly frustrated with the way we played. Saw him several times urging us to get up the field to press City or provide some support when we had the ball. Barely able to get on the ball and the moments he did there simply wasn't anything on.
-
Just can't do anything on his own. He needs the team to open up the wide areas. The moment he has to go up against an opponent directly he struggles to contribute anything.
-
Thought he did really well. Great goal line clearance aswell. Hope he starts next game.
-
Hopefully it's just a minor injury and he'll be back soon.
-
True although i feel that says more about the poor state of our wingback options then his quality.

Amazing team performance. Dominated Atletico for the majority of the game. Loved the energy we brought into the game. Really loving the 3-5-2. Morata-Hazard great partnership. I like that Hazard was higher up the pitch and played really close to Morata. I think it also makes it easier on Morata that he has a player really close to him to lay the ball off to when he was under pressure. Bakayoko and Kante were great. They just cover so much ground. Fabregas struggled a bit with the pace of the game but still he was important getting the ball into the feet of Hazard-Morata when Atletico were sitting deep. Worked really hard aswell on the defensive side. Solid at the back. Shout out to Alonso for the movement and composed pass to set up Batshuayi. Great result. Great performance. Frustrating though that we're already playing City on saturday. Not a lot of rest and this win took a lot from our players.

Difficult game. The team gave a lot against Atletico hopefully they can do it again against City.
-
They were obviously disorganised because they were expecting the ball to get directly whipped in.
-
It was 20 minutes. Yeah i thought he did well.

seems a bit extreme Tomo. I'd say sub against Leicester, start against Qarabag. If he gets throug those 2 unscathed, start agains Arsenal.

Fully agree with that it's just that i don't believe the board can be blamed for the AOC deal not going through. Regardless of what they did it was never gonna happen.
-
Can't blame the board for this imo. ( not that i think the board hasn't made mistakes this window it's just that specifically for the AOC transfer i don't think they did anything wrong) Arsenal weren't gonna let him go until the very end and it's not like we've been waiting just for AOC. I don't know what type of contact is allowed and what contact is considered "tapping up". Chances are we didn't know he wanted to only play CM. Maybe we did know but thought we could convince him. Not that crazy considering we're in a better position to win trophies then Arsenal and Liverpool and would be able to offer him better wages. Unfortunately he really wants to play CM. Not much to be done.

Wasn't Abramovich paying for that ?

What if we simply don't have as much money as people think we do ? Everyone keeps saying we've got plenty of money but i don't think we do. Last season we spent 132.8 million euros on players and brought in 108.4 million euros on player sales. That's a loss of 24.4 million euros. Which already includes Oscar's 60 million we made. Now looking at this transfer window. We've spent 140 million euros and brought in 122.8 million euros. That's a loss of 17.2 million euros. Now we still have Costa left to sell but we also are looking at strenghtening the squad with Drinkwater, Llorente. say we sell Costa for ยฃ50 million all of it would have to be used to buy those 2 players. I don't think we can sustain 100 of millions in losses. It wouldn't make any sense that we'd be sticking as close to breakeven (financially) ,as we have these past few years ,if we had hundreds of millions lying around.

Smart, taking hostages in case contract talks with Eden don't go as planned.
-
Number of reasons. The 2 biggest reasons are : A lot of Real Madrid fans are annoyed that Bale constantly gets to start while Asensjo and/or Isco get benched. Last 2 season he's been injured a lot and when he wasn't he's played really poor. Problem is that he just doesn't fit into the way Real Madrid play atm.
-
Kinda get what he said though. Under Guardiola Barcelona was more of a machine. They pulled together, everyone in that team had a specific role (apart from Messi) to suit the system and the team. With Neymar, Suarez and Messi there's more of an emphasis on individual brilliance and less on team effort. Messi being pushed out wide to make room for Suarez changed the dynamic of the team because Messi does very little defensively and doesn't stay wide. Neymar the same. That puts more pressure on Barca's defense and midfield.

Costa's so full of shit. He's just trying to cause as much trouble as possible for Conte and the club.
-
Costa already wanted out in the beginning of the season but Atletico went for another striker. (Costa admitted so himself) Then halfway through the season Reliable news outlets reported he wanted out again. After that his form went to shit. While it wasn't smart to send that text it was Costa who kickstarted this all. Only so many times you can ask to leave before the club tells you to fuck off themselves.
