Lemina especially is the biggest miss. They have Ings upfront who is their dangerman and is scoring and is very fast. Always rated Ings. Hopefully we cut off the supply for him and as he showed against Arsenal, he can score with his head too.
-
No Lemina is good news. Comfortably their best player imo.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11699/11596965/wolves-make-approach-for-tammy-abraham-as-chelsea-ponder-selling-striker-on-loan-at-aston-villa Yes, I damn right hope that "reports that an £18m bid has been accepted by the blues are premature".

We like to do cat and mouse with Arsenal so I am expecting dropped points. For some weird reason, we don't like developing more than a 3 point gap over Arsenal for long.

Goal after goal after goal.

The reactions are certainly contrasting. I thought he was very impressive and controlled the game. He was given MOTM also by Sky Sports. I would of given it to Luiz but thought Jorginho was very good.
-
Good win and thoroughly deserved. Dominated that game. MOTM is a tough one. For me it has to be out of Luiz, Kante and Jorginho. All three were top class. Luiz won everything in the air and that assist was just top class. If Van Dijk put in that performance today, you would hear all about it but because it is Luiz, this won't be discussed much. He was literally sensational. Kante was back to being Kante. Recovering possession and making constant interceptions. Jorginho was class. Dictated that game and not sure if he missed a pass. Sensational. We have the most clean sheets in the league after Liverpool in the league with 9. Quite impressive and more than City now too. 5 points ahead of Arsenal and only 2 points behind Spurs with our next 2 games, ones we should be winning comfortably at home too. We should make the top 4 chances more secure. Nice way to end the year.

He always has game of his life against us too.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11594314/chelsea-reject-bayern-munich-bid-for-callum-hudson-odoi "Bayern Munich have offered £13.5m plus add-ons for Callum Hudson-Odoi but Chelsea want at least £22.5m, Sky sources understand." The fact that we are stating at least £22.5m if that is true shows that the club realistically have accepted he will not sign a new contract. There should be a standard, 'NOT FOR SALE', but yeah the club will sell him in the summer if he refuses to sign a new contract. Jadon Sancho situation arising I can see, albeit it, we had much more inclination than City to play CHO than they did Sancho and we didn't use him. Seems now that Sarri used him against Watford. Maybe because the club realise the situation but too little too late imo.

Sane was highly rated before he went City. There was a lot of hype about him. He was tearing it apart at Schalke. I genuinely don't recall fans being against Sane. I knew City were getting a very good player and potential world class player. There was definitely a different perception to how people perceived Sane compared to the likes of Pulisic and Traore.

He was brilliant yesterday but wouldn't say comfortably his best performance as he was sensational against Cardiff and thought he was excellent against Southampton too. Cardiff he got a hattrick and was on another level. Regarding playing Hazard up front, I disagree. I think Sarri will target a striker but I don't think he is playing him up top to make a point. Giroud does not suit his fluid and pressing style, while Morata is not good enough and Sarri has given him chances. When he was at Napoli, he started off with Millik as the CF and when he got injured, he played Mertens in a false no.9 and it worked excellently for him playing with Callejon, Insigne and Mertens. I always thought when Sarri took over,t hat he eventually would try Willian, Pedro and Hazard as he done a similar thing at Napoli and with the way he plays you can see why he persisted with it, despite it not working against Leicester. If he gets an assist on Sunday that is 10 goals and 10 assists in all comps before the New Year. Would be fantastic achievement.

Well my grandparents spoke a strong Patois that I could not understand. I wish I could put on the Jamaican accent but I cannot. Nice mix you have there. Swedes are hot
-
Oh nice. Caribbean blood. I am Jamaican, however born in England.

Not seen Firpo tbh but take your word for it. But yeah, I don't see the board signing the two. The only difficulty with City spending so much money on another LB is they invested a lot in Mendy so if he gets over his injury problems, I don't see them spending heavy, however if his injuries continue, defo see them going for Chilwell. I have been very impressed with Tierney when I see him but like you said, because the level is a lot inferior in Scotland, difficult to judge. We defo would not buy him for that reason. He would need to make the step up to a mid-table PL team or so then prove himself. Similar to how Robertson done who is arguably the best LB in the league.

It is really surprising that there has not been an emphasis from the board for Sarri to play CHO. I know Sarri is the manager but the lack of games and even appearances on the bench is a concern. We have a really talented youngster who I think will be a top, top player in a few years who is on our books and not signed a contract and what do we do to change his mind? Fuck all. He was trusted to start 2 dead rubber games when the group was already decided. Sarri didn't even trust him to start one game in the Carabao cup or the early stages of Europa League while the likes of Arsenal have been playing youngsters in both comps and done well. Spurs put an 18 year old player in Oliver Skipp in their PL game against Burnley couple weeks ago and they won the game. We would never do that. I understand him not maybe starting a league game but to not even make an appearance of the bench is crazy. If I was at the top and cared for the academy, I would be telling Sarri "look your in charge but you need to play CHO". If Sarri aim is to be here long term, he and the board both should be investing in the youth. Just so frustrating. I genuinely thought after seeing him tear apart Bellerin and starting the community shield game against City, he would heavily involved this season. What a false sense of hope we all got. If CHO was smart, he would not sign the contract. The club have shown no faith in him and only play him in dead rubber games. I just hope Arsenal don't go in for him because that would take my anger in losing him to another level. They would actually play him too. They need another winger(s).

He is the real deal. Impressed with him every time I see him and seeing him live at the Bridge on Saturday, he was absolutely fantastic. Defends well and attacks excellently. Every time he attacked on Saturday, we could not stop him. Just a non-stop engine. City need to assess Mendy. If he continues to be injury-proned, would not be surprised. Would we have enough confidence to buy a 22 year old and put him straight in the first-team? Not sure. Will be interesting to see in the summer.

Kolasinac has improved recently but please stop jumping on to the flavor of the month. Majority of Arsenal fans will tell you he has been a liability in defence. Hw got dropped for a right footed midfielder at LB last season in Maitland-Niles. 2-3 games doesn't make him top class. Just look at the Arsenal forum for opinions on him few months ago. LOL. But I defo do agree with giving Emerson more chances at LB.

Just got back home from the game and what a poor performance. Hazard was completely off it today and never seen him that poor before. Willian was poor as was Pedro and basically every other player in the team. I thought Luiz actually had a good game and Rudiger didn't do much wrong either and Kepa was good also. Everyone else was shocking. Kante was a headless chicken this game. He was all over the place but barely could keep up and was awful in possession and again looked lost in that role which is a shame after looking at home against City. I don't understand why Sarri took Jorginho off for Fabregas when he should of brought on Barkley for Kante or Jorginho. Bemusing decision. We keep offering Arsenal the chance to play catch up. It is really pissing me off. Why can't we just put together a successful string of victories, but we have games like today, Wolves etc, games where we should be winning where we fuck up. Barkley needed to come on. Don't understand why he kept Barkley on the bench and Kante in that RCM role when Barkley offers much more of a goalscoring threat. Fabregas offered nothing when he came on also. Azpi got roasted all game. Credit to Leicester though. They fought hard all game and played well. Mendy done a Kante type performance today. Chilwell was MOTM for me. Was absolutely fantastic all game, defensively and offensively. One of the best LB performances I have seen and that is not an exaggeration. So back on level with Arsenal and a tough game in the week. We just love making life difficult for ourselves.

Did not realise that. Academically, he is a year short and the academic year is usually taken into football account. For example. McEachran would have been in the higher year than CHO. If that is the case, intrigued to know why he did not play on Monday night. If Ampadu is fit, I am intrigued to know why he is not in the squad tonight, seeing that he was excluded from the Youth cup squad as well as CHO. Not like I am surprised tbh. CHO I think will be off in the summer.
-
They keep the ball a lot better and rarely give it away. That is why Stones and Laporte have looked top class this season. Their possession stats. Christensen would suit the way they play and he would not get caught out defensively as much. It is different but it still showed signs of his potential and was excellent over there. He helped Gladbach qualify for UCL in his first season and to be voted player of the season for a team where you are on loan shows something. You cannot underestimate that. Bundesliga is a really tough league too. It was not too long ago that fans were hailing him as our best CB and he needed to be starting etc now suddenly people are stating he is not good enough. Where is the patience? Especially when you are not playing consecutively, it is not easy. I am not denying he has made mistakes, however I have seen enough from him to know that we should be patience with him. Part of it also is that he has come through the academy as well. He needs to work on his flaws but I am sure he will do that. I just don't like the idea of getting rid of young talent everytime it looks like they have flaws. Seen this too much in the past.
-
It is not just 3 months. It is 2 really successful seasons at Gladbach. Being nominated their played of the season at a really young age. He has showed in enough games for us that he is really talented. He will make mistakes like any other defender his age. I would not expect a defender at 22 to be the complete article but the fact that some people are again stating he should be sold is really fickle. He will improve and I think if he was in a City or Barca team he would look a lot better. Like I say there is not a lot of CB imo in the same age bracket as him who are better.
-
Fans right off players way too quickly it is astonishing. Christensen is only 22 and I still think he will become a top CB. Fans are very fickle. Opinions change way too easily.
-
I mean in hindsight now, I think he would of loved to work under Sarri.
-
Out of those names, only CHO and Ampadu were eligible for this year's competition. McEachran, if born 2 days later, would have been playing tonight but due to his DOB, was too old for the competition.
-
He must be thinking "what have I got myself into". Must be in regret now. He would have loved to work under Sarri imo. Monaco have been in a relegation battle all season and his season has been blighted by injuries. Has returned for past few weeks but only got himself sent off over the weekend in their drubbing by Lyon.
