  1. If Spurs win though, we are literally only competing for 4th spot realistically and watching Arsenal who we still have to be wary off. If United win or a draw then we are in touching distance of Spurs whilst having a good lead on top 4. I can't comprehend how fans want a Spurs win.
  2. You see that pass for Willian he created straight after Newcastle scored? Had that been Pedro or Willian, would most likely be in the back of the net...
  3. Thanks for using my hypothesis against Southampton
  4. What a start to the day!!!!!!!!!!! Arsenal lost. We better beat Newcastle. Please stop playing cat and mouse with Arsenal. Chance to go 6 points clear with a better GD. Do not let down!
  5. He created the pass for Hazard against Watford the other night. That is what got us the penalty. That was an excellent pass. Also when we played Arsenal and beat them 3-2, was it not his excellent pass that created the pass that split Arsenal defence open and gave Alonso a free pass for Pedro who scored? I cannot remember all games on top of my head but he has done some very good passes which have not led to a goal and that is not his fault. He is also playing the DM role too and is not in an advanced position so it is not as big of a shock as people are making out. Especially when teams sit back. People look at stats way too much. People need to look at the bigger perspective and see what caused an assist. For instance Alonso got the registered assist against Arsenal for Pedro's goal but really more credit goes to Jorginho. But because there is no assist on his name, people forget this suddenly LOL.
  6. He is a bit taller than Jay DaSilva, but most importantly he had already been tried and tested in PL. Jay has not and we are already skeptical about giving youngsters first team chances. He also has struggled to get in the Bristol City team too which indicates to me that it is also possibly a physical issue too as all the Bristol City fans seem to be impressed when he plays, however he rarely starts more than one consecutive game. I like him but don't think it will be a huge miss. Just expected him to stay on our books longer.
  7. Few years ago, he was looking like a top prospect. Problem is all his English loans have been unsuccessful. It is a shame. He looked to have everything. Two footed (literally), excellent technique, strong, eye for goal and a real dictator of the game. Leeds barely started him and the rare the times he did, he was subbed off. He has so much ability as well. But he needs first team football and needed to leave Leeds. Colkett, now him. Two of the biggest influencers in our midfield in the academy set up look lost out on loan.
  8. His height was always going to go against him and the exact reason why I thought he would not make it. Surprised that the board have agreed to sell him so early though.
  9. Annoying. That goal came out of nowhere. We have controlled the game. CHO looking very good again. Hazard too. When Kane goes over too the left he keeps on bullying Azpi. Rudiger has done well also.
  10. How many people were dreading not seeing CHO in the lineup/squad and thinking that is it, who are clinging on to the faintest of hope that him starting gives us some hope he is staying. Still pessimistic but hopefully that gives some hope.
  11. TBH, with all the transfer speculation and him wanting to leave if you are to believe reports, It would not be that much of a surprise for us not to start him. Is his head 100% in right place right now in a big game like this? Probably the excuse Sarri will use anyway.
  12. Although it is reported he will stay at Villa, I will not be surprised if he has rejected the move hoping another PL team comes in for him. Jimenez is their no.1 striker and Abraham would be rotational. I think Palace should be in for him. He would start a lot of games there and would score goals imo and think that would be a good move for him. Other than that, it makes sense to stay at Villa unless a team comes in for him where he will be the main striker or at least start a lot of games.
  13. And Arsenal vs United. Another big team along with Liverpool to go out which is good. Hopefully Palace can surprise Spurs too.
  14. Although he is not going to walk into their team and I don't t think he expects to, it is more that he probably feels he will get more chances to play on merit if he plays well. Robben will not be there next season. Ribery is injury-prone. Muller can play there but it is not where he is best at and Bayern have mainly played him as a SS/AM this season. He has started on the wing only a small number of times. Gnabry, a talented player who was in a similar predicament at Arsenal as he could not get much starts is only 23 and has started 10 league games this season. Coman has started 6 games and struggled with injuries also. A lot of people would arguably say that CHO is better than Gnabry right now. If Gnabry can start that many games for Bayern, then CHO certainly will play a lot of games too. It feels like now with CHO, we are suddenly hyping him up and giving him chances because another European giant is showing serious levels of interest. When there was minimal interest earlier in the season, he could not even get on the bench in the PL games. Could not start a Europa League game and could not even start a bloody Carabao Cup game. I remember we played Derby and won 3-2, Sarri played Willian and RLC as wingers and CHO was an unused sub. Where was the signs of faith him in them? CHO is probably thinking if he signs on, he could easily go in the same direction as other Chelsea academy prospects who are not given much chances and then end up leaving. I just wonder if, he himself feels the club is using him, just to sign a new contract. I genuinely think he will go to Bayern. He will play, they have shown a huge willingness to get him and there is defo imo a clearer path to the first 11 than here and a top team. I think he can make that LW a position of his own if he goes over there, while even on merit, this season he has been given minimal chances. I could defo see why he wants to leave Bayern. Sarri has shown faith in him a little too late.
  15. It is a shame that rather than focus on the performance of our player, people are using it to have continuous shots at Willian. He is our player and while he might not be delivering the goods, is It fair the amount of slack he is getting? We are supporters. The continuous mocking and abuse of him is ridiculous. Seems that people have fun making jokes out of our players who has provided a good service for the years he has been here. That is just my intake on things anyway.
  16. Believe me, we will be throwing all the money at him to keep him. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up offering around £50k p/w. The issue is he does not want to sign a new deal and wants to leave because he does not see the gateway to the first team, whereas he can play elsewhere. Sarri has shown fuck all faith in him which has caused this. I don't think he is money orientated. He seems a level headed player. The lack of minutes for a talented individual whose contract runs out soon is poor and the board should have emphasized this to Sarri, despite him being manager. We couldn't even start him in a cup game against Derby ffs and left him as an unused sub.
  17. Saying that, I will be backing United against Spurs. If United win and we win, we close the gap to Spurs to one point. Id it is a draw and we win Newcastle, it is 2 points so yes, will defo be backing United.
  18. I just knew it which is why I posted it. Turns out I was bang on. Seems that we enjoy this cat and mouse game and want a really close point gap until we play them later this month.
  19. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11597443/chelseas-tammy-abraham-not-for-sale-amid-wolves-interest That is more like it.
  20. Why you want to lose? Either way, we will still play them in two games and the final, if we win will take place in February.
  21. We really don't need that two legged semi-final against Spurs. Will benefit Arsenal top 4 push losing that QF game to Spurs.
  22. Willian now injured and Hazard currently are only natural winger fit. The injuries are piling up. Forest, Spurs coming up in the cup before we play Newcastle in the league. We could actually really do with him now.
  23. And like I said …. Story of our season
  24. Lemina especially is the biggest miss. They have Ings upfront who is their dangerman and is scoring and is very fast. Always rated Ings. Hopefully we cut off the supply for him and as he showed against Arsenal, he can score with his head too.
