This is where I worry for Torres. Regardless if he scores, I am getting the same vibes as last season. He looks invisible for so much of the game. This lowers his confidence if he does not touch the ball. Apart from the one header he has not been involved in play, the same I saw last season then he would get subbed of. When we play higher calibre teams in the premier league it will even be more tougher. This is why I would support a move for Hulk, he is versatile and links up with play very well
-
There is no way we will spend over £30m for him to be on the bench. He would definitely be a starter, I am sure
-
3rd kit is stunning!
-
No, Mikel instead of Essien if you are looking at a 4-3-3
-
Bridcutt has developed quite well since leaving us, plays today. Got potential to be a permanent fixture in the premier league IMO
-
He also provides us with the odd goals, some long rangers, like the Benfica one, what a finish that was even he could of played in Ramires I like players like him who are willing to give it a go
-
4-3-3 formation it looks like then, finally RDM trying out different formations. Ramires plays best in a 4-3-3, I am sure he would of played CM if it wasnt for Marin missing out through a knock
-
Really look forward to seeing Hazard today against English opposition
-
I am sorry but that is rubbish. Mikel was not a DM when we bought him, he wanted to play as an attacking mid so obviously the tranisition will be longer and playing a DM role and getting adjusted to it and being told you can not go forward will take time to learn and over the years has learned this brilliantly. He has improved every season for us and is a key player now for us. I think we have developed him into one of the best holding-mids in the premiership IMO. How else you want him to improve, I do not know.
-
I agree with you totally, I would like to see Torres bang in the goals for us and be the premiership top scorer. I admit I have my doubts of him still but no matter what pressure he feels I am 100% supportive on having another striker to show that Torres has no easy ride in the first team and we can have someone already proven ready to step in if he goes on a goal drought again
-
I wouldnt mind Ba as well despite reports his knee is like a time ticking bomb lol but his release clause deadline has passed so he won't be allowed to leave on the cheap. Gourlay said we are still in the market for 2 players, wonder who they are. One RB I am guessing and maybe a winger or striker
-
I also get the feeling Lewandowski will not move to us as I am sure he will only move to a big club where he is guaranteed first team football. I wouldnt mind Adebayor though even though I am 99% we will not get him but we can get him on the cheap but I really rate him. I wouldnt mind Dembele as a makeshit CF/CM as well
-
WTF? Better than Falcao? I hope you are talking about the value of the player and not who is better in ability or I would think you are losing it lol
-
It won't be Hulk and Lewandowski, it will be one of them only I am sure. I have doubts about Torres but even if we buy another striker, I still think Torres will start as the no.1 striker to prove himself and he looked quite sharp in the Euros. Also you are being too cautious about the age factor. Even if Hulk joined, 26 is a good age to see out some good years at the club. Just look at Drogba for instance, but like you I would like to see Lewandowski here
-
Especially as this is one of the talented youth teams we have had in years. I am sure Chalobah will be a Chelsea first team starter in the next 5 years hopefully. Islam Feruz can reach great heights, hopefully his lack of height is not a pause in his development at Chelsea. But there are some very exciting talents coming through, hopefully they are not overlooked by the club
-
We don't need no other DM to replace Mikel. I am sure when a few games get running in the league people will value his true quality. I reckon he has developed into a brilliant player in the role he now plays in
-
So is the chip at 1:13
-
Highly doubt Mata will play, he took part in the Euros and still has to see out his final game with Spain at the Olympics. Community Shield if anything is where he will be expected to play
-
Kakuta has a bright future ahead of him IMO but probably not at us. KDB has been involved in friendlies so you cannot really judge him on that. Pre-season is to really make sure the lads are fit for the beginning of the season
-
The thing I like about Oscar is he always looking for the ball. Today was a masterpiece, reminded me of Xavi, dropping deep for the ball, spraying passes around the pitch and also getting forward and adding the odd goal as well. He is only 20 and has a brilliant future here. It really pleased me to see RDM stating that Oscar will be a magnficent player and so on because a lot of people assume Abramovic orders out the transfers. Even if RDM did not actually make the bid for him at least we know he highly regards the player and has identified his talents. Although Neymar has been the main star, Oscar has made the work look much better than they already are. Think this will be one of our best transfers to come over the years

Got to admit, am a bit worried with the way we have performed especially against a Milan team that lost Silva, Ibra and had no Ibra or Robinho in starting line up. Hopefully it is nothing major. Last time we lost consecutive friendlies in the 10/11 pre season we ended trophyless. But with this squad I believe these is much more to come, I still would like to see Maicon here and I am 100% for the idea of a new striker. Seeings us sometimes struggle with options going forward this is why I would still like Sturridge to have a big role at us. He is not afraid to have a go at the opposition and brings another dimension and trickery. Sturridge seems to be ignored about in regards to what will be the starting team but I would like to see a trio of Hazard-Mata-Sturridge. But IMHO it is possible we can win the league but there is a lot of work to be done to take it away from Man City's clutches
-
Disappointed in what I have seen of Ramires in these pre-season games. Hope it is nothing to worry about going into the season but his play so far tonight and other pre-season games are one-dimensional and seems to be caught out. Still think he will be a key player but does suit a 4-3-3 more than 4-2-3-1. Judging from what I have seen I would definitely like to see an out and out winger on both wings
-
I really like Hazard from the left and always favoured him in this position. His dribbling from cutting in and creating space is immense and has brilliant balance which will suit him for the premier league
-
No Robinho in match squad surprisingly

Hope Lukaku can get a goal against Milan. Would really boost his confidence and prove a point
