Agree with you but take out City. We played effective counter-attacking football that game. Unless you are talking about the FA Cup game but PL game was one of the most impressive pieces of counter-attacking football you will see. The scoreline could have been more tbh.

Go to the circus. That is where you belong. Not on a forum. Join the rest of the clowns :clown:

You are a total, unreasonable idiot. That is all. And please quote me where I said Sterling would start in our team. Not that it would be a ludicrous statement anyway but don't make up lies please, when I have never said that. But some of your posts are just totally bullshit. I really cba to reply to your nonsense now and you just sound stupid. Not just in this thread, there is many other threads you are just posting rubbish. Keep wanking over Thiago please. A player you believe has done more than Fabregas in his career :clown: :clown:

Your an idiot. Any youngster out there would struggle playing in a mediocre team against Real Madrid. Also Liverpool are 5th in the table with the same points as the 4th placed team. Mid-table right? Do your maths you total fool. And yeah, nice to call him a "fool" because?...... Stop chatting nonsense please.

So pathetic. Seriously.
-
I hope so but then we hade many players away. My favourite talent at this club. Hope he makes it.
-
Hopefully but remember Josh was 17 when he played for us in the UCL. He played a whole 90 minute game against Marseille at that age now look at him. Kakuta never filled up to the promise as well. Boga is one the most talented youngsters out there, no doubt. However, if he does not get playing time he will not develop and he may look to pastures new, later on.
-
Noooo! We are not Barca or Spain. We don't need to do that.

IMO we got the most complete LB in Europe in our team. Azpi has been excellent in the LB role but I am happy to see Luis get a few games in a row at LB. Ideally I want Luis as our first choice RB with Azpi and Ivanovic rotating RB role. Luis is far too good at LB to leave on the bench. He was excellent at Atletico. Bar the Palace game, he has been solid in every game this season he has stepped in. For club and country.

Was watching the game against Maribor in the UEFA Youth League earlier. He was fantastic once again and scored 2. His first goal was a similar version scored against Everton in the U21 match not too long ago albeit not as good: http://www.gfycat.com/BogusAlertKoalabear But it is a bit of a shame that he struggles to get near the first team due to the amount of talent attacking midfielders we have at the club. He deserves a chance and I hope he is able to get an appearance some stage of the season. Would be devastating to see such a talent not make it here.
-
Yes, it was only Maribor but let's not forget that he ripped apart Arsenal as well in a similar manner.

Love to see that there was no complacency. Brilliant from the start to finish. Luis was my MOTM. Excellent in defence and attack and hopefully that is just an opening glimpse of what we will see in terms of the link-up with Hazard. Fantastic to watch. So happy Hazard got his goal from open play at the end as well. Everything was literally perfect tonight. Zouma coming in and bossing the game. Drogba getting his first goal back since joining us. As much as I like Azpi I never was overally annoyed when he got sent off against Palace with all respect as I believed this was the perfect chance for Luis to get a few games in a row and show what he is about. He certainly stepped up to the plate tonight. Hope Remy's injury is nothing serious as well. Just keep counting up all the assists Fabregas keeps making. Must be on double figures now surely? Great performance and oh, what a pass from Ake that was at the end for Hazard to score that brilliant goal. Have not been able to say this for a long while but it is a joy watching us week in, week out. Bring on United :blue scalf:
-
Absolulety brilliant performance considering all the negative attention he has been receiving from the media and public over the past week. Was a threat all throughout the game. How some people on here think he is not one of England's top propsects I do not know. Was the main catalyst for every goal Liverpool scored today. Balotelli really needs to br dropped from that team though. Sterling carried them. Once Sturridge comes back, he will thrive even more imo.
-
I never said he was the only one. I said only a few have been a central part of a title-chasing team at that age. It is no denying the fact that Suarez was the main reason but there is no denying that Sterling was very key as well. We are going to have to agree to disagree but for me he is a fantastic talent. This is nothing to do with him being Jamaican/English like me but this is based in what I have seen. I think he pretty much has everything. I think he needs to work on his technique sometimes but he can work on that. But imo while Suarez was the best player in the league, without Sterling you can arguably say they might not have been as effective too. So many of the FK and PK Suarez and Gerrard scored were due to Sterling being fouled several times. Time will tell I guess. That is not my point. My point was that not much players at that age would have got into Liverpool's team. A team who did not have Europe to deal with but they still finished 2nd and was very close to winning the league. Your point on Gerrard is irrelevant. I am talking about Sterling. What does Gerrard have to do with it? OK, so let's pretend that Sterling was not England's best player against Italy then?...... Pirlo saw a good player and complimented him. It is as simple as that. Well there is no concrete proof to say he has more than one kid. Sterling said he only has the one kid so shouldn't that be that? ....
-
And why is that? At the age of 19 he cemented himself as a key player in a team who just missed out on the league. How many players at the age of 19 can say they were a regular starter in a team who was competing for the title for the whole season? Not much I think and the PL in this era is arguably the toughest and much more competitive than other PL seasons. Not only that as well but he was excellent last season and his stats prove that. Remember that he only cemented his place in the first team from last December and ended the season with over 10 goals and probably had over double figures in assists as well. Even Pirlo had great stuff to say about him after the game in the WC this summer. He has shown that he can score, create and draw out penalties etc so much times because of the problems he causes and like I said he has done all that at such a young age. Please now give me your explanation why unlike other English players, he is one of them who does not deserve the hype? I eagerly await your response.
-
That is an opinion not a fact. You sound really pathetic sometimes, no offence. Do you believe every social media rumour you read? He has reiterated that he only has the one kid and my point about great players was the point that you referred to Sterling's error against Middlesbrough as evidence why he lacks a football brain so I pointed out that even the greatest of players have made errors in their career.
-
Yes, because even the greatest players with a football brain have never made a mistake in their football careers right?
-
The truth is Fabregas had no fixed position at Barca. He sometimes played his natural position, sometimes as a false nine and sometimes I think even wide left but he still made assists either way and I know a lot of them came from CM. Yes, the false nine position as well. However he is playing in a deeper role at us and later on in the game goes a bit more advanced but is still recording assists and proving his vision is one of the best in the football world. Don't see why you are still trying to look for excuses to explain his assists. Just accept that he has one of the best eye for a pass in the game and more times than not he executes his passes to perfection. Barca's loss is our gain. I don't care if you pointed out that the Barca manager did not want Fabregas or point out that most Spanish people prefer Thiago over Fabregas. Ask most Chelsea fans and Mourinho who they would prefer, Cesc or Thiago and I am sure they would tell you Fabregas.
-
TBH, from what I saw last night he looked much more threatening than Lukaku and I guess that was shown in why Origi played the whole game and Lukaku was subbed off. He has blistering pace and I think if he plays with someone who can hold up the ball well and he plays on the last shoulder, I reckon Origi would do very well. But, I would need a Belgian or Lille fan to provide me their general opinion on him.
-
Now you are trying to change the script. You came up with some rubbish about why Fabregas assists record was go great at Arsenal because he was a good player in a team with "no ambitions". I then proved you wrong with that statement by pointing out his assists record at Barca was quite exceptional as well despite not even starting every game and not to mention the fact that he is leading the assists chart for us as well and I think only 2 assists away from reaching double figures already. Pretty impressive huh? But now you want to retract your statement by turning it back on me by claiming all I look at is assists/stats because you know you were proved wrong so give it a rest please
-
I am going to silence you here hopefully once and for all. Explain to me why Fabregas IIRC led the assists chart in the league last season then. Once again got into double figures of assists. The 12/13 got 10 assists in the league and was up there in the top 3 in the league with assists and even in general his time at Barca he recorded 28 goals and 32 assists which is very impressive. Was Barca a bad team with low ambitions then and are you still going to compare him with Lukaku, De Bruyne and Sterling? Love to hear your comeback for this as it pretty much has shown you were proven wrong. For me is it not up for debate. I would say Fabregas definitely has better long range passing than Thiago. Thiago has no way made the same amount of assists as Fabregas. You can show me clips but they don't equate to what Fabregas has done. Whatever you show me of Thiago's passing range, Fabregas has done that even more, that is not up for debate.
-
And who were they competing with? We were becoming a strong force. United were still very strong and as Fabregas got a bit older, City entered the fray as well and like I was saying the PL is just a general tougher league than La Liga. Barca were on another level. The point being still is that Thiago was no way near as established as Cesc at the same age and you cannot deny that if Thiago left to Arsenal, he would not have made more of an impact on the team than Fabregas had. Fabregas was fantastic at Arsenal, goals and assists wise and it is not his fault that they did not win much trophies whilst he was there. I still don't get what your clips prove. Yes, Thiago can do all the simple, slick passing like Fabregas did in the first clip I showed you but look at most of Fabregas assists. They are all a different range of passing, something which Thiago has not displayed as well as Fabregas. Fabregas changes game with just one pass, sometimes short and long. Arsenal one was the most recent and there will be many more. Not denying his talents but at least show games from an actual competitive game and not a pre-season game ffs
-
Fabregas was at Arsenal, while Thiago stayed at Barca. Of Course Thiago would have more titles. Arsenal were and still are a much inferior team to Barca. Fabregas was a key player at a team who was competing for the league title most seasons at the age of 19 plus. Not many players on the team were on his level but he made a massive impact on the PL. Thiago stayed at Barca where it is much more easier because he is surrounded by some of the best players in the world and there only competition in that league whilst Thiago was there was Real Madrid. Not to mention that in general the PL is much more competitive than La Liga anyway. Seriously take off the tinted glasses. Are you seriously trying to deny Thiago was more established at the age of 19/20 than Fabregas was? That is not even up for debate. If is ludicrous to think otherwise. Don't get me wrong, I like Thiago a lot but he was not established himself the same way Fabregas has. Can't believe you compared the trophy stats. Are you stating that because Fabregas won only 1 cup whilst at Arsenal it means he is not as established. Like I was saying, Thiago was at Barca. Fabregas could have stayed and his trophy stats would look the same as Thiago's. Thiago would have the same trophy record as Fabregas had he went to Arsenal as well. Watch 2:04 you said. Just watch the whole clip below to understand why his assists stats and vision is go great
-
Yes, assists does not equate to vision, I agree. But with Fabregas, the majority of assists I would lay down to his vision. They did not just happen from crosses or a little short pass. There have been a majority of them where he has layed of perfectly executed passes, from through balls to long range. You can see the impact his vision has had on the team already this season. Fabregas assists record is not just any stat. Those who watch him properly would understand why his assists record is so great. He reads the game better than most players and is one of the best playmakers in picking out brilliant runs from strikers. -Schurrle's goal against Burnley. No more needs to be said. Only players who have the vision of Pirlo and Xavi can pull of that sort of pass. -Everton 3-5 Chelsea. Assist for opening goal for Diego Costa was another example of his excellent vision. Simply through ball but it is the fact that he reads the game best and picks out runs which the defence failed to read. He has done these sort of through balls throughout his whole career. - Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal. You want to talk about vision. His vision once again coming to full effect. He pulled of a fantastic long range pass. Not many players can pull that off and while I rate Thiago a lot he cannot pull these sort of passes of on a regular basis. Fabregas can and has. And no it is not up for debate. Fabregas is definitely a better long range passer than Thiago. This is just while he has been at us btw. Do I really need to mention his Arsenal days. I can pick out so many games where he displayed a brilliant range of passing and recorded some brilliant assists and believe me I really could. But I will just mention/show one of my favourites. Fabregas has displayed these sort of passes numerous times throughout his career. I would have him up there in my top 5 in terms of vision.

Well looks like Wilmotts took your advice with Origi and Lukaku up front . I would like to see that more and think we will see that more when Benteke returns to the NT. Seems to suit Origi as well as or even better due to his blistering place and with Lukaku/Origi being partnered up front with a striker whose hold up play is very good, think it will work wonders.
