  1. Bar the Chilwell news, good news is that Mudryk was back on the grass today. Broja was training and doing gym work with the rest of the boys. Caicedo not seen in the training pics, however the Evening Standard have said that he should be fit for the weekend, so hopefully it is just more recovery for him and he joins the group tomorrow. At least no long term injury to any other players for now anyway.
  2. That is good. I literally thought they were waiting after the Burnley game to ban him. So at least he misses a game that he wouldn't have played anyway. When I see £90k fine, it makes me think how lucky these footballers are. That is change to them. It would take me years to pay that.
  3. It was good seeing Caicedo playing the way he did yesterday. That was the Brighton player we bought. He dominated that midfield. Looked assured in possession and won his duels well. I really want to see Colwill have a run at CB but his performance at LB yesterday was brilliant. Defensively and most noteably offensively he was immense. His passing is out of this world. Despite all the players bought it was also good to see that 3 of the starters yesterday were from the academy. Broja, Colwill and Gallagher when there was a realistic chance that all three could of been playing elsewhere this summer. It shows what hard work does. Cowill was assured about his game time if he does well and has started every league game. Same with Gallagher.
  4. Relief. Very good performance too. So many candidates for MOTM. Colwill, Gallagher for me were the pick for me. However Caicedo was brilliant too. Broja was such a bonus. His pace and power added a different dimension. He will be useful to rotate with Jackson. A long time coming and Mudryk scoring put a smile on every Chelsea fans. Delighted he has that monkey of his back now and hopefully onwards and upwards. Also those people who slate Gallagher need to look at performances like this and see why we need him in the squad. Simply fantastic and was rightly given MOTM. Worked his socks off and was a menace to Fulham all night. Must win against Burnley now before the international break. 2 wins on the bounce… is that a lot to ask for?
  5. He is improving and improving. Such an underrated striker. All round, he is prob one of the best striker in Europe. Works hard, is strong, good at running with the ball and last season he scored a decent return. Just consistency and he defo could get a bigger move imo.
  6. I thought Palmer did well but only criticism was that he got muscled off the ball way too easily sometimes. More pros than cons but few times lost the battle way too easily. Maybe needs to develop on the physical side. Mudryk had a good game and caused a lot of issues and you can see his confidence growing. Colwill solid as a rock. Good to see him play his natural position too. Feels good to experience a win again. Well fought as well against a very good team.
  7. Gusto is suspended. I think Chilwell defo starts based on he has been sub past few games. Maybe Ugo starts too as he was good against Bournemouth.
  8. I think this too. But it clearly doesn't work. Fernandez prob likes the idea of scoring and assisting and that increases playing further forward but the games he has played further proves he should be a DLP only.
  9. All the money that have spent and the squad is just not any better. They shipped most of the big earners and replaced them with unproven players. Jackson was very impressive in pre-season but it was a worry that we were pinning all our hopes on him. We have sold Ziyech, Pulisic, CHO, Lukaku, Auba and did not take the Felix option and the replacements are not better bar Nkunku who got injured. Really worried. I am a minority here but think Poch should of taken the option on Felix. Although he was not great, he looked betre than most of our other attackers and looked like making things happen. In our next prem game our only senior striker is Broja and doubt he will start as he is returning to fitness, which means a player being played out of position. Embarrasing that we have got ourselves in this state.
  10. Jackson with another yellow and now suspended. Utter imbecile. Poch also had a word with him about this before and now suspended against Fulham. Prat.
  11. I remember when Arsenal bought Odegaard, permanently, I was surprised Real let him go. He came of an impressive season and was only getting better. I get if they loaned him out again as they had players, but they let him go for peanuts, considering their team was ageing. I was always annoyed when Arsenal bought him permanently, as I knew he was going to kick on. I would say currently right now, he is the best player in the league.
  12. I understand the pessimism going into the game, but hopefully Villa having an away fixture on Thursday evening disrupts their schedule. They will go strong in the EL and then having to come to the Bridge a few days after will not be ideal. We have a whole week off. Hopefully Caicedo is back for this, even though I thought Ugo did well against Bournemouth and have Fernandez in natural position. Like I say, I am positive simply because we have a whole week to prepare now and Villa have Europe to contend with.
  13. When I saw him play the 90 mins, I knew he must have cooked yesterday. Espec as they were 2-0 down and he was left on, he obviously impressed. He has played his way into the team now.
  14. I didn't even realise during the game that Jackson picked up a yellow. Only until I checked my FPL points I realised he was booked. This guy is really clumsy. I love his footballing ability, even though he needs to find his shooting boots, but already at this stage, he is facing one yellow from a match ban. Asides that, not going to make too much judgement until we get 3/4 of the squad fit. Many game changers who could have changed the game unavailable. But hard to be optimistic right now. Hopefully things change.
  15. He isn't proven but he has shown glimpses of what he can do. He was very good against Arsenal when he came on and looked a menace and scored a top goal. Also had a good game against Sevilla too.
  16. Bar Chilwell and Palmer, that bench is so bad. I get we have injuries, but that just looks worryingly bad.
  17. I am genuinely shocked how frugal they have been in the market. Yes, they splashsed money on Bellingham but lost Hazard, Benzema, Asensio and Mariano. A lot of wages freed up too. Bar Bellngham, the only other attacker they added was Guler who is currently injured and as you mentioned bringing back Diaz. Ancelloti keeps coming out and saying they have good cover and he trusts his options, but I am pretty sure this is the board being frugal as they are telling him they are preparing to put the money into Mbappe. Whether that is huge wages and other bonuses if he joins on free or whether that is having to buy him incase he is coerced into contract at PSG. They were miles of it in the league last season and you would think they would show more intent to regain the title.
  18. I love the training wear for the third kit too. Will be nabbing the green and black training tee for sure.
  19. He was very good for them a couple seasons in what was his real breakout season. He got to 10 league goals for Arsenal which was really impressive. He has a knack of scoring against us too. The real issue with him though is that it is not clear what his best position is. Before he lost his place in the Arsenal team, he played out LW but would regularly drift inside. This season I think Arteta was/is planning to use him in that Havertz position he has been playing for them. Similar to Mount, I would say he is a jack of all trades but master of none. Quite a good dribbler, good balance, good at one-twos, decent passer but doesn't excel at any hence why I guess there is still air of confusion about his best position. He is a good player but not sure how effective he is since his injury issues. Odegaard and Smith-Rowe played together. It was Martinelli who ESR lost his place to. However with Havertz being signed, effectively makes ESR redundant as he was being touted for that role from what I have heard Arsenal fans say.
  20. Fulham did brilliant. At 2-1 down, were down to 10 and managed to equalize with a man less. Also nearly stole it themselves. Arsenal got so many 90 min+ winners last season, I failed to get excited when Fulham equalized but not can smile. Arteta has tried to be like Pep and tried too many tweaks. Putting Partey at RB and CB at LB or RB playing LB and not playing players in natural positions. They have not looked that impressive and have just about snuck wins in their first 3 games. I am sure the fans will be livid with Arteta. Seems he is trying to shoeorn too many big names in but doesn't look like it is working. Interesting to see what he does against United next week now.
  21. Happy with Sterling and score although should be more but not happy with system. Looks slightly negative. We don't need 3 at the back. Sometimes Sterling and Jackson look like a 2 man attack when they could do with another winger up there. Hopefully a second comes early before the nerves kick in.
  22. Gabri Veiga now off to Saudi also. Wow. I guess that is the biggest young talent they have nabbed.
  23. He can play out wide but for Forest he is primarily a CW who drifts out wide. But either way, it is another transfer link that is just bizarre. He isn't prolific, teams set up against Forest in a much different way than we do. Just doesn't add up. He is explosively fast but like I mentioned against teams that set up deep against us, he will not really be effective.
  24. Mudryk hasn't played a minute yet 😁
  25. Going to shiver everytime that West Ham have a set piece situation. Especially now they have JWP to deliver them in or actually shoot in direct free-kicks.
