On a serious note though, I cannot stand X-Factor. The backstage politics within the programme are infuriating. I feel sorry for anyone who signs a recording contract at the end of the show. Major record deals are awful for people these days, despite what they may look like to an outsider. That's a rant for another time though.

Going to go get my hair cut like Justin Bieber, put on some make-up, shed a few pounds, get some singing lessons, go on X-Factor next year, win it, get the money, get the bitches, then buy a Ferrari which will just sit outside looking pretty. I love fool-proof plans!

Dream scenario of Chelsea winning the league
Leif replied to edetarod's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
We win the league at Home, Stamford Bridge, by 1 point. We're tied at 1-1 vs. QPR.. Then in the 90th minute... Bosingwa own-goal. -
Source? Or is this fantasy/from Twitter like so many transfer rumours when the window is open?

Or another way to look at it could be - Money = He has a lot, just like you said. Having so much and being able to buy anything though, could take away motivation and actually cause boredom, as has been reported in many cases. Money can only bring happiness for so long. Once you reach a certain amount, money will no longer improve your life in any way as you can already pay for all that you desire. Women = So many like and harass him that it causes friction & trust problems between he and his girlfriend/wife (are they married?) potentially causing bad patches in the relationship between he and the woman he loves. He plays for the biggest club in the world and is the most expensive player, putting a huge pressure on him to always be at his best; whether it be playing well on the pitch, or looking good for the media, his fashion line or the general public. This causes little time for relaxing during large parts of the year. He's adored by people who don't even know him, and can't walk to the shop to get some milk without being prodded, shouted at and fan-girled over in an attempt for some fans to get an autograph or picture. The time spent on getting that 'perfect physique', training, being on planes and playing football, means he barely gets to see his family and is constantly feeling drained. The realisation of all of this could trigger a depression in him. None of us can read his mind, but all of the above coupled with the fact that Messi & Iniesta keep getting awards he feels he deserves, could really damage him mentally and morale-wise. Of course this is all based on 'if's', 'but's' and 'potential's', but there's 2 sides to everything. Complicated life.

• He rarely throws in a tackle. He looks more concerned about hurting his opponent than he is concerned about getting the ball back and helping the team. •He lets players just walk past him (he prefers to intercept occasionally opposed to closing down. That's not the right mindset for an attacking team, even if you're performing a defensive role.) I can't count how many times he's let players literally half a meter away just trod on by with the ball. •He doesn't have that aggression, determination or leadership which has become essential in playing that role. You need a strong personality/character as well as physique to play that role well; and finally, he also rarely drops back and covers for Luiz or Ivanovic when they roam forward (something which Romeu does excellently.) Those are just a few points.

Rumour has it Kaka was supposed to be sold, and with the money saved from Kaka's wages and some of the transfer fee, Ronaldo was to get a nice bonus. The other rumour is that Ronaldo is upset at how the club have been treating certain players, such as the aforementioned Kaka. The final main rumour is simply that he doesn't feel the club value him that much. He wants to be appreciated more. That's how I understand this whole thing, anyway!

Bosingwa made over 100 appearances for us. Was he good enough? No. The number of appearances a player makes for a club, regardless of how many managers have been in, does not reflect the importance that player has/doesn't have to their team. I'm still open to someone convincing me that Mikel is good enough for us, but I just personally feel he's mediocre at this point.
-
Undoubtedly someone will say "Sturridge could learn something from Bertrand.", but really, they're in very different situations. I personally feel that after the Bolton loan, even though he was a big hit during AVB's tenure here, Sturridge needed another loan. I'm sure our season would have turned out very different if he did go back out on loan, but I believe it would've been best for his personal progression. Some team like Wolves or even a team like Brighton could've been good for him.

I don't know much about the league. All I really know is that they (the fans) are generally the most racist bunch I've ever seen when it comes to football. Therefore, I refuse to follow the league.

Malouda has just posted on Twitter that this is indeed his last Chelsea season. He tweeted - "This is where I'll train for my last season with the blues !!!" and then posted this picture: (a tad embarrassing):

He doesn't ask to be played on the left wing/midfield. I feel sorry for him when he's sometimes slated on here for being played there. Now that that's out of the way - I can't wait to see him play more games at left-back for us. I knew when he was on-loan at Norwich City in, I believe, the 2008 season(?) that he'd make it in some form here. He's definitely amongst my favourite players. I hope he stays with us a longgg time.

@Kezza, this morning, the only way to describe mine was simply - The Thing.
-
Fuck you. (In a nice way. But a non sexual way.) I do it because it looks cool, ok!? Racist. Don't hate the boldness!
-
Has anyone else wondered why we didn't ask for Carvalho on loan in return for Essien? Mourinho already said he's no longer in his plans, he's a fan favourite here, and we're not exactly blessed with amazing centre-backs. It feels like such an obvious move to me IMO.

Pissed off. Picked my nose (i don't usually) and now it's bleeding. What a lovely event.
-
What I want to see - Our players stringing together more than 10 confident passes moving forward. That is all.
-
I wish I owned a sword. I could just say to people, "Hey, I own a sword! ". And they'd be like - "Oh really? What do you do with it?" And I'd reply - "Slice cheese...and occasionally people." It'd be a good conversation starter in my opinion. As you were, gentleman. :tophat:

Think of Zidane in his prime mixed with Frank Rijkaard. Now imagine a 10th of that player with 1 leg.
-
I've gotten sooo much shit over the years for this, but for some reason I can't quite explain, I actually prefer him over Lampard. Not as a person, but... there's just something so intense about him when he's on the pitch. He has that "Never Say Die" attitude still at this age which Lamps seems to have lost. Would love him back here, but can't see it.

Can anyone link me some good, must-follow football journalists, tacticians, entertaining football-related accounts in general etc. which operate on Twitter please? Thank you.

Just watch how Romeu played against Manchester City last season at Stamford Bridge. I've literally never seen a defensive midfielder play that well against them since their rise to power in the Premier League.
-
Thank god we're not getting him.

He was handy to have around, but I never felt like he was Chelsea at all. There are certain players who just feel blue, and he wasn't one of them. However; for him personally this is an amazing move. The derby his new club participate in must be the best in the world. His aggressive style on the pitch will have the fans falling in love with him!
