I really do think Wilshere is horribly overrated. He seems to have become this 'golden boy' who's got a bandwagon of people crying out that he's the English Xavi and Iniesta rolled into one.. but really? I don't see all that much special with him. Good player, no doubt. Not 'great' though in my opinion.

I really think we should consider Monreal from Malaga if Cole does indeed leave. I can't think of many top quality all-rounded left-backs like Monreal at the moment. I love Bertrand, but he's still not ready to be playing vs. Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona etc. at left back in huge games for us yet in my opinion. Romeu is beginning to look like he won't be around much longer, and we simply need another defensive midfielder. Another Spaniard this time; Ignacio Camacho - Again from Malaga. He wasn't great at Atletico Madrid, but he's really come alive at Malaga. He's the 'wall' in their midfield. He's fantastic at interceptions. Finally; Benat. Benat, Benat, Benat. He reminds me of Xabi Alonso in a lot of games. He's simply a great playmaker, and I believe he'd be a great addition in our side if played in the double pivot correctly. His height may be seen as a vulnerability in that position in the Premier League, but he did really well against 'bigger' sides at the Euro 2012 *preparation friendlies* vs. Serbia and South Korea.

I think Juventus's unbreaten run could come to an end today. Juventus vs. Inter Milan kicks off tonight. Inter Milan really have been quite good in Serie A this season especially when up against the 'big' teams. Cassano also has the best conversion rate in the league I believe.

Has anyone seen anything of this Romanian centre-back we're being linked with called Vlad Chiriches? 22 years old, 6'1.5", 14 caps for Romania, over 100 league games but only 1 goal, and apparently wanted by Barcelona, Lyon and AC Milan. His club want to get at least £8million or-so for him I believe.

I can't count how many games Torres has had with us which were worse than what Sturridge had tonight. I expect even more support for Sturridge considering the fact he cost us way less, has never just walked down the tunnel after being subbed off, didn't come from a scum team, blah blah blah, I could go on and on. Sturridge was constantly beating defenders, applying pressure, closing down opponents and creating magic with Moses. He lacked composure at times, was unlucky with a touch or two, and took as many shots as he could when at times passing was the better option - but who wouldn't play in such a way after spending the previous season on the wing, then being kept out of the team by a misfiring striker who gets more support than the actual club itself at times? The worst thing I read during the same was something to do with Torres being the better passer out of the two. Our striker isn't supposed to be a playmaker. Our striker is supposed to do what Sturridge did tonight - hassle the opposition at all times; something we see very rarely from Fernando. Finally; Keep in mind he just had an injury not that long ago, and has started for us as a central striker maybe 5 times in his career, if even that.
