  1. At this point I'd be annoyed if we paid anything over 40m for him, considering City/Madrid/Barcelona/Munich are set. Our only competition could potentially be United. I doubt he'd want to play for PSG but who knows.
  2. This is the year I want to relieve Atletico of some of their midfielders. Saul, Koke, Partey, anyone else coming through. Everyone they've bled in in recent years suits our style.
  3. In other words, we have a 100% record when Cahill hasn't started?
  4. Anything less than £2b would be upsetting. £2b would barely appease me.
  5. Not a winger. It was clear after his first season we'd only see the best of him when central. Only took 5 years for it to become common knowledge
  6. I want 2 up top with Bats on for experimentation sake. If he's selfless and sees himself as a creator, he'll be a somewhat good weapon.
  7. I'd love to see Morata pick up Muay Thai once he retires.
  8. If I raise a 3rd son alongside Eden & Andreas, he'll be Eden Jr.
  9. If I'm lucky enough to raise a 2nd son I want him to be called Andreas.
  10. Azpi, Rudiger & Fabregas should be playing as many balls directly to Morata as possible, every single game.
  11. Benitez really does look like a waiter when taking his notes.
  12. You know what. I'd like Azpilicueta to be tried as a defensive midfielder one day, permitting our CB's are solid, and he's happy to be tried there. Didn't he start his career as a midfielder or something?
  13. The goalkeeper position is the position I understand least, but surely this habit of Courtois to push the ball away instead of just hold it is a terrible trait to have.
  14. If I'm lucky enough to raise a son, he'll be called Eden, no question.
  15. 5 clean sheets in 7 starts. I'm not sure if anyone else boasts a ratio like that this season.
  16. Just half a year ago Christensen was only 20, remember that. If we want to throw the 'wonderkid' tag around, surely he's totally deserving of it, without any exaggeration.
  17. Based on form, I'm sure this is our very best lineup. Zappa deserves to be dropped in my opinion. He's no better than Moses, ie, they're both predictable; but if you have to choose between them, you choose the one with more pace.
  18. I hope Rafa gets nothing but love. To come to a club which was full of supporters who'd previously, and even during your tenure there too, abused you, shows more balls than so many managers we've had. That alone deserves respect. What he did with our underperforming club deserves some love.
  19. The way he plays with his feet makes Courtois look like he plays with 4 hands lol
  20. VAR is shitting on the beauty and drama of football, regardless how many decisions are technically correct once consulting with it (this one in the Roma game, was definitely wrong IMO.)
  21. oh no!!!!!! what will we do now that we can't build Roma's 2015 defence?
  22. Although scapegoated by Maureen, I thought he had genuine fitness issues - being overweight, being sidelined often. If not seen anything from him, when fit, to suggest he's anything but overrated due to being English. Would we want this guy if he was German, or Italian, even if he supported Chelsea in those scenarios? I don't think so. In this overinflated market, United seek only £20m for him, apparently. So they must consider his 'true' value, if we were in normal times, around £13m or thereabout. Despite the age difference, I'd still bite my arm off for Bertrand instead.
  23. Eh. I feel like when a player is overly enthusiastic to be playing for a bigger club it only leads to an inferiority complex, which affects performance in the big games. Cahill's the only other guy in our squad sharing that trait, and it ruins him a lot of the time.
  24. I couldn't care less about our situation re: Salah, but for Roma whom I have a weird relationship with, I feel bitter. I think with him somehow in the squad this season, they'd actually win Serie A. They won't this season, or any season soon, I'm positive. But his output would simply propel them. They already have the statistically best defence; add that pace and a goal-every-2-or-3-games Salah was bringing, and easily, they carry themselves longer than Napoli can. Monchi is a brilliant man, brilliant at his job, but that was a blunder; trying to replace him with Schick & Defrel. Regardless of Liverpool or any other team calling, I wonder if there's a slither of a chance, that he would've stayed should Roma double his salary. When he brings as much as he brought to them, he'd have been worth it. Serie A can't cope with his type of profile. As for him over here; since he left, we rapidly became a league in which pace wins, and strength comes as runner-up. Technique, team-play, tactics, they're all so far down the list. Salah only thrives here because the quality has dropped drastically. For us and our CL aspirations (I hope?), never in a million years would I want Salah lining up vs. Bayern, Juventus, either Madrid team. We made the right move, he made the right move, and there should only be love between both sides. He has nothing to prove to anyone; he's already shown Mourinho that his opinion is irrelevant. Now he's in his own; and he's a Liverpool-level player. Well done. To a degree.
