The basic figures are at the best of my knowledge and from the sources I could find. I understand what you mean about inflation, but when people talk about some transfer record being broken, they just use the total amount without inflation.
Bayern are bidding to take the played in January. If they fail, and come back to get him in summer instead, I bet you that the bid will be lower than the one they're making for January.
As I said, when you talk about records, the tendency is to ignore inflation.
Wow, showing your true colours are you? You are wishing incredibly bad things to several people and entities just because your board would have sold Hazard without getting an adequate replacement. Like that would be Bayern's or CHO's fault. Really, shame on you, your post is filthy and disgusting, and I won't discuss further things with you. These are the kind of posts that would get you banned on my forum, and we are a veeeery lenient forum. I really hope they're not tolerated here either.

Look, I'm done here.
I was fine taking all the shit that's been thrown at me during my stay here, just because I support a different club than yours, because I could handle it. But being accused of the one being condescending and taking shots at Vesper, really? In my country, you say the things she said in public (including on a forum) gets you arrested and taken to court. And yes, I live in the EU. And no, I'm not kidding. But I'm the one taking the shots and being condescending. Right. Perhaps @Sideshow Luiz should rename himself to DoubleStandards Luiz.

Teenagers who cost £30m or more, inflation adjusted, and including add-ons. For euro-denominated buys, I used historical FOREX rates for the euro v GBP at time of sale and then calculated the resultant GBP amount into 2019 quid so we have a truly accurate snapshot,
Figures are in 2019 GBP
Antonio Cassano Roma 2001 £43.5m
Anderson Manc U 2007 £39m
Marquinhos PSG 2013 £32m
Javier Saviola Barca 2001 £55m
Wayne Rooney Manc U 2004 £50.5m
Gabriel Jesus Manc Shitty 2017 £31m
Renato Sanches Bayern 2016 £34m
Lucas Moura PSG 2013 £41m
Luke Shaw Manc U 2014 £37.5m
Anthony Martial Manc U 2015 £63m (huge amount of add-ons, almost all already hit)
Vinícius Júnior Real Madrid 2018 £55.5m (with add-ons)
Kylian Mbappé PSG 2017 £175m (loan plus fee plus add-ons, all of which have been already hit)
Rodrygo Real Madrid (summer 2019 or December 2019 he comes (Santos are trying to keep him till end of the year, deal was done this summer, already paid for) £41m
If anyone has anymore I would be happy to do the maths and give you the 2019 pound sterling rate, inflation adjusted.

Haha, think better than gold
I don't know particularly about Max Bielefeld, but in general Sky Deutschland are highly reliable and don't have a reputation of just making stuff up. In general, the German press is far, far more reliable than the English one anyway... even tabloids like BILD are considered reliable.

... a lot of BS faith in his ability, IMO. When you have Coman and Gnabry not starting because Ribery and Robben kick up a fuss whenever they're benched or subbed out and the coach is almost scared of benching them... and also with the MULTIPLE daily dose hype from staff or players about new signing Alphonso Davies, he'd be lucky if he's even 5th choice for Bayern this season. Next season he'd be in a better situation. That said, Bayern's wingers are far more injury prone, so a 5th choice winger for Bayern is probably equal to a 3rd choice winger for Chelsea

MUTU reacted to Clockwork in 🏴 Callum Hudson-Odoi
It is absolutely Sarri fault, after the great pre season he had he placed Victor freaking Moses ahead of him. He showed no interest in playing him until Bayern came heavy for him. It was always the case with CHO that him signing a contract extension would depend on his playing time and faith of the manager. He didn't get much of that, and comes Bayern who are showing a lot of faith in his ability.

We also use newspaper talk when it fits our arguments. When it doesn't, we dismiss it. I've been here long enough to know that's exactly how it works. I've seen it hundreds of times people treating as facts articles/tweets that fit their thinking, but dismiss everything that contradicts it. Nothing new here, human psychology at work.
Who would I spend that £35m on? I don't know, but it adds enough finances to buy a proper replacement. I don't trust our board to do it, but it is a good offer for a wantaway unproven youngster. Provided he wants to leave of course, then grab it and run and hope he flops miserably.

Hey that happens on BayernForum as well, no need to apologise for it, it's standard human behaviour. Same argument holds on statistics They're only good when they sustain our argument.

I enjoy reading @MUTU's arguments and opinions much more than the posts belittling him. We don't like Bayern snooping in our business, I get that, but it's not his fault if CHO actually wants to leave. Us getting the reported £35-40m for him would be good considering he's just a potential and has done fuck all to justify a price tag for which we got Kante for.
-
MUTU got a reaction from Unionjack in 🏴 Callum Hudson-Odoi
Because it was said that £35m is nothing. £35m is a lot of money. I'm sure you can buy the majority of Bayern senior squad players in return, for that kind of money.
That amount of money won't buy you starting quality replacement? Let's see...
Kingsley Coman cost us £25.2m (I'm including money we paid to loan him in)
Serge Gnabry cost us £6.3m (I'm excluding money we were paid for to loan him out)
Alphonso Davies cost us £9m
Total: £40.5m
Basically, given that Ribery and Robben are moving at the end of the season, Bayern are bidding almost as much money for CHO as they spent on the rest of their wingers altogether.
What I think you really need are good scouts to get players at decent prices. Well, or get a Drinkwater for that price. Your choice.

^ Wow, that's a REALLY long post. I only have time to answer parts of it.
Re: Alaba, he's IMO not even the best Bundesliga LB anymore. I really like Augsburg's Philipp Max (which you didn't mention, but he gets an insanely high amount of assists), and then there's (almost) everyone's favourite Marcelo. Alaba used to be insanely good, but he's not at his peak level anymore despite his ideal age.
Agreed re Kimmich and Boateng. Hummels is debatable given that he's always been slow, but he is indeed getting more exposed, but I think that has more to do with tactics than anything else. It's ridiculous playing such a high defense line when your opponents have much faster forwards than your defenders, it goes without saying.
Not a mega fan of Pavard, am more excited by the prospect of Lucas Hernandez to be honest.
Now re left-footed wingers. It depends what you want to do. If you want a pure winger, that is the type that hugs the touchline and sends in a cross, you need to have a left-footed winger on the left and a right-footed winger on the right. If you want them to cut inside looking for a low pass or a shot, then you need inverted wingers (left-footed winger on the right). You're right, we need right wingers. So far, out of our current 5 wingers, only Robben prefers playing on the right.
Upamecano is a good one, but it's not easy to get players from RB Leipzig. They don't want to sell, and their first sign of cracking could be with Werner.

Yeah its something along that lines.
I think CHO seen this coming regarding not playing regularly anyway. In 2018, he only signed a 2 year pro deal which is believed to only have been that long due to Chelseas record with bringing players through. Hes obviously a smart kid, who has been well advised (if it was at another club we'd all agree), how often do you see youngsters sign 5 year deals and not play a lot for 2 or 3 years of it before being sold off?
If he will actually play regularly at Bayern is another story but

I saw a comparison, which is not mine, and I don't necessarily agree or disagree with. It goes like this:
Chelsea was compared to a kid/toddler in a playground having a toy that he's not playing with.
Suddenly another kid (Bayern) comes along and shows interest in playing with the first kid's toy.
The first kid shouts "no! it's mine!" and begrudgingly plays a bit with the toy to show the second kid.
Question is... once the second kid gives up and leaves, would the first kid continue playing with the toy he wasn't playing with beforehand, or would he discard it again the moment the second kid walks off?

I guess you need to ask Maurizio Sarri and (commenting way out of my depth here so please excuse me) Joe Edwards given he didn't play that much for the U23s either (though again, not sure what the reasons are).

It is funny that we are often at such loggerheads as I am one of the biggest Bundesliga fans here. I think it is arguably the most exciting league to watch from a pure playing style perspective and there are SO many Bundesliga players I would love to have or rate a tonne.
I rate (no we have no chance at either, in fact I never bother targeting Bayern at all)
Alaba as best LB and best fullback in world
Kimmich as best RB in the world
Niklas Süle is a top 15 CB, I do NOT rate Hummels at all, so so slow, his legs are gone, plus he makes stupid mistakes all of sudden, when he used to be impeccable and Boateng is a shell of the player he was. You need CB upgrades bad, you are shockingly in worse shape there than us, which is crazy to say that about a Bayern team
You got a STEAL in Benjamin Pavard for only £31m. He is a great CB and also a great RB, I love double duty players, he was long a target of mine for us, so you are partially fixed, but you need another top one, for cover.
Only other players you have I like (not possible to get any)
are
Lewandowski (3rd best striker still on planet, after Kane and Icardi, but is too old to chase for a buy) still INSANELY GOOD, I might be able to make that case that thsi one last year he IS the best
Goreztka (we fucked up the year before you made agreement with him, could have signed him, grrr, that was nothing to do with you directly, it was our shit board)
Thiago (soon 28 so too old to try and buy anyway, as next season is his last full under 30yo one) hell of player, top 15 CMF, great playmaker, I rate him equal of Pjanic from Juve (huge praise)
Corentin Tolisso, (the one we most bollocksed up the transfer of (our worst of any you have by far) not getting him and/or Nainggolan, and Alex Sandro destroyed Conte's last year with us, you killed us getting him , but I do not blame you at all, I blame our SHIT board
And, finally at winger
LW Kingsley Coman (great player, just injury prone)
and your newbie, Alphonso Davies, also LW listed
which is confusing as he is LEFT-FOOTED, so why is he playing on the left?
also, if he is simply better there, AND you have Coman at LW, AND , AND you have ANOTHER LW too, Serge Gnabry
WTF are you in need of CHO for???
You need RIGHT WINGERS, CHO is pretty much a LW
oki, done with Bayern rants
you have no one else who I like (Robben retires from you, and James goes back to Real)
lets do Bundesliga CB's and Fullbacks now
CB's I wish we would have a go at
In order
Dayot Upamecano RB Leipzig Pure beast, instant star here, but RB want 100m euros!
Manuel Akanji Borrussia Dortmund Super silky ball playing CB, would be perfect for Sarriball, badly injured though ATM (I am sure you are not shedding tears over that, lolol)
then 5 huge young powerhouses (would love to hear your opinion of these 5)
Evan N'Dicka Eintracht Frankfurt
Jordan Torunarigha Hertha Berlin
Felix Uduokhai VfL Wolfsburg
Dan-Axel Zagadou Borussia Dortmund
Ibrahima Konaté RB Leipzig
others I rate but have not really said BUY
Jonathan Tah Bayer Leverkusen
Abdou Diallo Borussia Dortmund
Nico Elvedi Borussia Mönchengladbach
Matthias Ginter Borussia Mönchengladbach
Niklas Stark Hertha Berlin
Panagiotis Retsos Bayer Leverkusen
Waldemar Anton Hannover 96
Moussa Niakhaté Mainz 05
Kevin Akpoguma Hannover 96
Kasim Adams TSG Hoffenheim
LB is easy
only one I actually rate as good enough for us (and there are plenty better elsewhere, he isnt in my top 10 or so) other than Alaba (obviously impossible)
is
Wendell Bayer Leverkusen
there are 4 young ones who have good potential
Borna Sosa Stuttgart
Marcelo Saracchi RB Leipzig
Aarón Martín Mainz 05
Hamza Mendyl Schalke 04
RB is easy too and better
2 of my 3 top remotely available RB targets for us in world (along with another, non Bundeliga RB, João Cancelo of Juventus)
are
Achraf Hakimi superb player soon top 5 RB n world IMHO, on loan from Real Madrid at Borussia Dortmund (only way I see getting him is via a demand in the Hazard deal)
and
Valentino Lazaro Hertha Berlin (best Austrian player since Alaba, in any position) he also can play MF and winger, superb athlete, I think we should go all out, he will be affordable too, very very under the radar
I also rate
Nordi Mukiele RB Leipzig a lot too
along with an ex Bayer Leverkusen player, Benjamin Henrichs, now at Monaco
and finally, I USED to rate Jeremy Toljan high high, when he was at Hoffenheim, but shit, has he collapsed at Borussia Dortmund, wow, what the hell happened?
I will do Midfielders, Wingers, and Strikers in the next one

MUTU got a reaction from OneMoSalah in 🏴 Callum Hudson-Odoi
You're right. At Bayern if he moves in January he'll find Ribery and Robben (who'll move on at the end of this season) along with Coman and Gnabry ahead of him in the pecking order, and new entrant Alphonso Davies who I feel would be around the same level (the hype around Davies is becoming almost unbearable). That's 4-5 players ahead of him. That said, I'm quite sure that he would be asked to play for the Bayern U23s every now and then, if anything to retain match fitness, and next season there would only be 2-3 players ahead of him.

Very high, and CHO will continue to play.
I do think Chelsea will sell if there's a buy back clause.

MUTU got a reaction from Johnnyeye in 🏴 Callum Hudson-Odoi
I think it affects the English national team as well.
As for Lahm, unfortunately he didn't play "way past his 30s"; he's only recently turned 35! That said, had he not retired so early, Kimmich's career wouldn't have really turned out the way it would.
-
MUTU reacted to Johnnyeye in 🏴 Callum Hudson-Odoi
Lahm was truly a great player and captain, reminded me a lot of Zanetti for Inter, could play anywhere in defense and also in midfield, had a good eye for a pass and goal, and also played way past their 30's, a rare breed of hardworking, versatile and tireless players. Kimmich is another one that impressed me a lot, never imagined he would be a great hit at Bayern, great find indeed.
The way some young english players are overhyped by the media, specially if they are really talented and represent top clubs, they put too much expectation in to these lads only for them to have even more pressure to succeed, in some ways it hinders their development when they dont meet expectations. They should be allowed to enjoy their football and development with their clubs without too much interference, but i guess it comes with the job.
-
MUTU got a reaction from Johnnyeye in 🏴 Callum Hudson-Odoi
Try to imagine how we couldn't believe our luck when Lahm retired (even earlier than was expected) and Kimmich turned out to be so wonderful a replacement. He was literally playing in the 2nd division. That's why sometimes you just need to throw a youngster in at the deep end. What works against English clubs, in my opinion, a factor that is not talked about much, is the media. The English media has the knack of hyping up a player, putting extra pressure on him, and then slam him down when he fails to meet expectations. Youngsters need time to develop and will have their ups and downs. They don't just need managers to trust in them, but they also need the media to get off their backs. Unfortunately for you, this is more of a cultural thing and not in your club's direct control, but I think it *is* a factor. It's the same thing with CHO; Sarri could get a string of bad results and be gone before the end of this season, and maybe replaced with a manager who really loves developing youngsters and start giving CHO the playing time many of you think he deserves. Thing is... would the media leave CHO in peace? Would he be allowed to do some foolery with a girl, have a top performance without being overhyped or have a really disappointing performance without being shredded to bits?
