Real Madrid troubles are older than sin itself. the technical term is too much of a good thing.

No religious jokes yet? Disappointing.

More likely he will die of natural causes now given his age and health tho. 😉

Like I said I tend to go for the simplest explanation: Kamala wasn’t a very strong candidate tied to a weak president. Democrats have lost the plot. And Trump is definitely *popular* 😉 the fact that the Jan 6 perpetrator has won is really sad for what we thought democracy was, but evidently some disagree that what congress does is democracy. and to emphasize, I can’t imagine Musk’s support comes cheap.

Just like the conspiracy theories which are never wrong—Trump won and no missiles have been fired… 😃 While I don’t believe in conspiracy theories one bit, I do trust in following the money. My dad was a cop, so I learned a lot from that perspective and I do believe we are in an era where unelected leaders have a lot of power given their worldly influence. I hope smarter and far more successful people will be in charge, given that their support doesn’t come cheap. Musk isn’t trumps friend for ex. Peter thiel isn’t there for the ride either. Is this the end of the career politician? contrary to some I do think Bidens term was disastrous. And at the same time Kamala as a glorified unknown VP, wasn’t a strong candidate. Also suspect ID politics played a very big role in this election. DeSantis became very popular on that.

OK maybe I'm misusing the word "popular." I think I simply meant "well-known."

Good but I'm not sure favorability is the same a popularity. Infamous individuals are popular too.

I'm fully expecting a Trump win, so hoping to be surprised here. The reason would be the most mundane of them all: "a name we know." He's more popular... perhaps for the wrong reasons, but... 🤷♂️ (there was an old movie about a candidate who had a famous last name, so his campaign was pretty much around dodging the questions about said last name).

It's even crazier to me that California is even part of these stupid conspiracy theories--even the dogs are PC there. 😆 And I actually lived there.

Yeah maybe, but then again they care about the money spent there because Trump tells them they should.

I strongly disagree. Americans in general care little about the rest of the world. That's the least important aspect IMO. "Wokism" however you may define it, along with white man victimhood are the main Trump cards. This is very ironic of course, given that much of it is fabricated -- the per-capita GDP is pretty impressive even in "poor" states (where billionaires don't live). bear in mind we are talking about small percentages here; US elections are always close because of the party divide.

Nah the process is that slow. It's independently run by each state (some states employ manual counting too), which makes the claims of mass fraud even more laughable -- it's a decentralized system! The problem with overturning the results this time is that, despite what some of his supporters think, Trump ain't the president. Results will start to come in tonight, so we may have an idea about the outcome by then, but not much else. Tomorrow will likely provide a clearer picture.

That's the current situation, unfortunately. His finishing makes it hard to deploy him in attack, and he's not physical enough in the PL to defend well. Perhaps a change in the system will benefit him in the future, otherwise he will prob have to leave. It's evidently too soon, but so far Lavia has been pretty meh for me. He was poor today, along with Madueke and Gusto, our worst performers. He looks like a composed player, with good passing ability, but he couldn't match the pace and intensity of this game; the match demanded a bit more quickness, which he was unable to deliver. Perhaps it's just a inevitable result from his long absence and finally getting to play the PL toe-to-toe against the top sides... it is almost never a seamless transition. Speaking of the game itself, United may be in trouble as a team, but they are still a big club. The tempo was pretty high at times, just not very consistent. So, it's not a "normal" game against a mid/smaller club. For this reason, I'm not too disappointed with the result.
-
Smaller sides have a tendency to overplay their better players — lets hope that we have enough depth to help him in that regard.
-
Easy MotM for Caicedo even before the goal.
-
That last play… mudryk should have chested it down and instead headed awkwardly to Enzo. Mudryk should not be on on a game like this.
-
Ridiculous play by mudryk. 🤦♂️
-
He’s supposed to be an additional source of creativity so we don’t always depend on Cole. He hasn’t been delivering that, but lavia did not do a thing in this game, so Enzo is there to try something g different. his finishing is disappointing to say the least.
-
Pass from Jackson was bit too hot for Enzo.

MotM scores!
