  1. Lol players get beaten one-on-one all the time. D failed there that’s it.
  2. That’s not the way it see it: you made the absurd claim that the USA dumps a lot of money into Israel and gets nothing back. I merely suggested your cost spreadsheet there wasn’t showing the full picture.
  3. You can do your own research as to what the USA gets back from Israel presence in the region. It’s not my place to convince you of the merits of it. I also disagree with the “initiate” bit; that’s not historically how it played out. If its mere existence in that region causes that, then perhaps thats also part of it.
  4. That’s a very trumpian way of looking at allies: how much do they cost? Perhaps a more plausible explanation for the unwavering support from the USA that has gone on for decades and will likely go on for the foreseeable future is not listed above? 👆 Suspect that in terms of cost/benefit NATO wouldn’t fare too well. The USA gets a lot from Israel’s presence in the region. Whether you agree with that is a different story.
  5. Yeah I do think there are a lot of dumb people out there, but there is also a strong possibility that I’m the dumb one. You know that’s pentagon money all the same. Which makes a Trump administration, in theory, not that bad from that point of view. He’s really not a fan o anything related to the military and military spending—incredible how he manages to get the military vote, but that goes into misinformation and all that. Been away from Brazil for so long that I find it hard to say that I am, but technically yeah. Brazil is actually looking better: they apparently go after people who attempt a coup… and definitely do not put them back in power.
  6. And? I don’t think it’s a mystery now that the USA is 100% percent behind Israel—regardless of party? Harris got the vast majority of the Jew vote in last election, and I honestly don’t think Harris support for Israel would’ve been much different. I’m just surprised that folks can be constantly surprised with something so… unsurprising. 😄
  7. As it should be. Our allies first… what’s so hard to grasp here?!
  8. You’ve never seen the earth from space either, but you do know it’s spherical…. Don’t you? 😉
  9. The same way that "the world" does not care about children dying, as it is posted here often, it does not care about climate change. There is no unity until there is no choice, and given that climate change will affect different areas and countries differently, by the time most countries are driven to action it will be way too late. So, I have to disagree on this one.
  10. I strongly disagree with this one and find it extremely naive to think this way. "the world must" There is no such thing. There are regions and countries with extremely different agendas and goals.
  11. Don't think we can conclude that. Humans were not around when volcanos were super active for a reason. It's also hard to know the actual potential outcomes of this man-made increase. Rumsfeld from Bush the administration once talked (yeah different subject but still) about the known unknowns and the unknown unknowns, and I suspect we have a lot of the latter in the mix here. Here's the kick: Earth does not care one bit whether the climate is viable to humans or not. Imagine a small impact in the food chain today and what prices, as well as availability, would look like.
  12. Sorry, these claims are both false as well as irrelevant. Just to show how that is irrelevant: Imagine that at some point in time a natural event DID indeed produce a similar jump in that one chart you showed -- just as it is happening today. Let's say that it was caused by 2 super volcanos erupting, or a solar event... Now, what would be the natural event today that is causing a similar drastic change? If we had cause and consequence back then, what's the cause now? All reputable scientists agree that we are cause. Besides looking at *one* chart is a vast simplification; in my line of business I deal with many many different graphs and each may tell a different story. It takes time to learn how to interpret them. I can imagine scientists who study this for a living have access to far more information than a single chart. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but you seem to put more trust in opinions from (random) people (even here) than vetted information. We are in an era where good information is harder to find, but it's still available--it just takes some looking and it usually comes from the usual suspects (e.g. not from your friendly YT content creator or podcaster). I, for one, respect specialists opinions because they put their time and efforts into things so that we don't have to -- there are only so many hours in a day. 😅
  13. That's like saying that, "it does not happen because I had a fall and a winter." The fallacy here is that climate change never said that past natural fluctuations (big or small) did not happen. We've been through this before: it's forensics similar to what the police uses to solve crime. Analyzing Tree cores and a number of difference methodologies in a number of sciences come to the same conclusions, which makes for as much consensus as you get in science. There is FAR less consensus in how to address it; I personally always found the idea of a global emission control naive and silly. For me the only solution at this point is through science itself: some form of carbon sequestration, or something that we don't yet know.
  14. That little lob over the leg of the defender just before that sweet finish was 🤩
  15. For consistency sake, we should go ahead and hang Mike Pence... there is still time. 😆 Also... Garland?! seriously?
  16. Seriously? 😃 what can possibly make you think that?! did you make this comment 3 weeks ago and forgot to hit ‘submit’?
  17. impressive career which only reflect how talented he was. He overstayed his welcome in Brazil which made him a bery big fish in a small pond tho. he was also not the protagonist in that Barca trio; still fantastic there, but came up short when leading Brazil. the issues were really injuries tho. Can always wonder what he might have done with just a bit more dedication to his physique. Same applies to Ronaldinho too.
  18. I think the question is, does he do everything in his power to prevent these recurring injuries? Would losing some weight potentially help? He looks heavy to me, perhaps not fat heavy, but surely very bulky.
  19. The best place to be in a global nuclear war is inside one the blast zones. 😉

  21. Also skill on the ball -- can't be a top CB these days without both, IMO.
  22. And no, it's not serious 😆 -- it's also only a single way in which the lack of supply can affect cost.
  23. That was an easy "fix" and the republicans, some of which hate Trump, dropped the ball. Trump should've been forbidden from running again early on. I'm not a big fan of big pharma in the USA, so a little disruption wouldn't be so bad.
  24. I don't disagree; I'm not interested in the merit of it (giving him more or less say) that much--just what may have taken place. Same could be said about Lavia: his one PL showing was a nightmarish one. I'm sure the club saw some quality in his game, but it also applies; he did not "dominate" midfields in the PL, and only did better in championship.
  25. I will bite. From afar, I think there is no comparison. Brexit felt to me, and from colleagues who lived through it, was just a case of too many thinking "me, me, me" and not receiving, or considering, the full picture. Trump not only had a large disinformation machine, but he himself as a Billionaire who will represent the working class is a laughable idea. How they managed to convince people that Harris, an actual worker, was the elite, and that the Billionaire who inherited all the money from daddy would help the working people is really beyond me. Not even going into all the criminality that went under the rug: Jan 6 and "find me 11k votes" were very serious.
