  1. A bit soon to be using standings imo. From what I saw today, they are irrelevant and even spurs will pass the hem in the coming weeks.
  2. Tbf, it’s early season, so we don’t know who the poor sides are just yet. Which teams are wobbly and easy to beat. Regardless, you smash the lesser teams all the same esp when they dare to play as equals. Match was only shown on USA network which is tv only, so will catch the replay tomorrow.
  3. Yes, but their center D already looks better with DeLigt in. the most shocking of the matches so far was how bad Newcastle looks. Football of the 90s in today’s world.
  4. yeah better option than Disasi. Noni was poor tracking back in the last match. Many of their best moments was when the ball was taken from Noni and their #19 Kluivert made diagonal runs towards the center of attack. Neto wasn't much better in D either, so that needs work. That kind of performance against a better team would result in a loss. I'm not expecting Sancho to replicate his performance tbh; coming on vs starting a match can be very different.
  5. They already have Rudiger I say enough is enough. 😅We should get Dias for that sweet right CB spot we've got just waiting for him. He's right-footed even if he naturally plays on the left too.
  6. Some will have that written in contract, so no "buts." Rodri seems like a strong Madrid target. Dias would be a nice addition to our D, as would be Stones IMO. Ederson solves our GK for 2-3 years for sure. Kova is still 30 wow... would likely get him at least for roster. Haaland would turn into a big auction anyway--perhaps all released players would.
  7. Time for a cheeky 100m Haaland bid?! 😅 Yes, and if it does happen to us as well, that's even better for player and manager.
  8. Yeah it's likely possible to overheat a device with hacking: just need to find the instructions that generate the most heat and make them spin faster. Some devices would break in specific ways, and some could potentially explode, but that'd be a design flaw in my book. 😆 Actually putting explosives inside the devices is far more effective eh.
  9. not sure. Bournemouth looked pretty bad -- it's unfair to analyze a single game because part of it was us causing them problems, but these small clubs have a huge problem with depth. Their subs in the second half were lesser footballers and it showed. I think WHU are less likely to have to fight relegation even if having a poor season, for ex.
  10. We don't know that. The investigations take some time. Chelsea's business has been conspicuous, which does suggest they are taking a conservative approach to me at least. Still, I don't even want to go in the merit of the matter here, but rather whether there is a reason to be worried or not; and for me there is.
  11. Who said that? Do people intentionally ignore the conditionals when reading text? "if true" Is it nonsensical? The club is operating very close to the FA limits, which the reported hotel sales suggest. Is it completely implausible that this will pose a problem under different more strict rules? not to me at least.
  12. Wow if true! And not only financial. Imagine these players watching CL on their telly once again, but now without even the possibility of qualifying.
  13. You assume wrong. And I don’t really have a political affiliation neither am I registered with any group or party. Either someone agrees with your view or they are “emotionally impacted”. It’s apparently impossible to think rationally and see danger with someone who did incite the attack on a the Capitol as the freaking president. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on me being emotionally impacted or not. 😃 Once again, for someone so detached from politics you do come here quite a bit.
  14. Same applies to you. Take Jan 6 Capitol Attack for instance--I lived in that area for *many* years btw. You either know what happened there and agree with the attack, which makes you an extremist or you don't really know what took place that day because your media bubble did not show it. If you still claim trump is just another regular republican politician then please show me another capital attack like Jan 6th Ashli Babbitt was shot in the chest that day https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Ashli_Babbitt 170+ police officers were injured and 4 took their own lives within 6 months from that day. You do write a lot about things that "don't impact you at all" but you seem to come back here to write your piece once in a while all the same. Usually to defend a poor billionaire... to be fair, that's consistency right there given your obvious admiration for the new Chelsea ownership.
  15. All we have left is... Taylor Swift and her cat. Wbf, the "they are weird" kinda works. Maybe that has legs (no pun).
  16. Musk is disingenuous like that too. The question someone ought to ask them is, "do algorithms have the right to free speech?" last time I checked, the first amendment refers to human beings.
  17. Trump and his team play the media like a fiddle. They are always in control of the narrative. Harris' debate performance lasted only a few/couple days and the media was back talking about dogs and a small Ohio town. There is no way out: social media let the algos do their thing to make more money while public news media cater to shareholders in similar ways. It will be decided in the last month as it usually happens; who has the momentum and whatnot. If we get Trump again, then it's going to be well-deserved.
  18. Yeah maybe, but like I said i wasn’t the one making the connection just trying to understand why the attacker may have done it. i personally understand representation, so im totally OK with the notion that folks who disagree a lot with me exist in numbers and also deserve representation. Trump is a bit different than all politicians from the right I’ve seen before tho—personal experience. Think much of what you talk about is caused by social media and the algos which is discussed in the long Yuval Harari interview I posted earlier. thought the interview was actually well conducted too: https://youtu.be/toF5PIClNZ4
  19. I think it’s a fair assumption: not one I myself make, but rather one I suspect the attacker did. Perhaps due to Trump’s self-proclaimed (heard him say that multiple times) special relationship with Putin? https://thehill.com/opinion/columnists/juan-williams/4484909-trump-has-kept-up-his-old-creepy-affections-for-putin/amp/ or directly claiming that he will “end” the war https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russia-says-it-wont-accept-ultimatum-type-invitations-second-ukraine-peace-2024-07-18/
  20. the vast majorly of conspiracy theory are false. Most are so far-fetched that they don’t even pass the plausibility test given how visible and obvious such things would be. Ironically the only proven conspiracy of late was trump scheme to overturn the last election. That lawsuit will go away if he wins tho. suggest watching the YouTube video with the Yuval interview I posted 2 pages back because his point about how social media became a conspiracy theory machine makes total sense (it’s how the ranking of info is done).
  21. And? 🤷‍♂️you are talking about 4-5 times the population of Australia here. Sounds a bit silly to generalize 100m people like that. Besides, you do know Trump used to be a registered democrat and donor once, right? comes with the territory with being a divisive figure and insulting everyone who opposes him. He makes a lot of enemies and not all are cat ladies. this particular one apparently would “die for Ukraine” which evidently made Trump a target given that Russia wins as soon as Trump is elected. Once again, Trump may be thinking about his odds at the moment.
  22. Does it matter? 100m people on each side is bound to have some crazies of all types. He's apparently an Ukraine sympathizer, but does it really matter? the previous guy was a republican.. they are the ones who love guns. A murderer always has a reason, and honestly I think the media gives too much emphasis on "the motive." Often the motive is, the guy is batshit crazy... and maybe he likes shooting people?! An assassination attempt every 2 weeks, I'd be worried about the odds if I were Trump. He's a very divisive figure, so this isn't super surprising to me at least.
  23. Too soon. I agree he’s not a cut inside and shoot and is more a wide defensive/selfless winger. Contrary to many here I value that role tremendously. You can spot a player doing that job in every silverware run. It’s a team sport not a game about individual stats. With that said, I’m not entirely sure wide players would be that effective with Jackson in attack; he’d need more of a target man type as a striker. For what you get, not having to watch Mudryk try to play football, money well spent.
  24. I did not say he did not do good winning a PL and all; I'm the one who values teamwork in a team sport, not individual performances and numbers. I just wrote he did not *improve* and some may say he had declined physically especially towards the end of his tenure here.
  25. Sucks. I understand Enzo bc of the he stupid int break, but not the others. I’d very much like to know what’s going on with Lavia for ex. It’s not like we can count on him.
