Very interesting fact: every chelsea manager under RA who won trophies in their first season always won a double Mourinho first season = PL, League Cup Ancelotti first season = PL, FA Cup Di Matteo first season = CL, FA Cup Mourinho 2nd first season = PL, CL?

Chelsea strikers have been really bad under RA era, except for Drogba and maybe Gudjohnsen, Anelka (and to some extent Kalou & Sturridge) while the majority like Crespo, Shevchenko, Torres, Pizarro, Kezman, Demba Ba, Mutu and Eto'o flop so hard. Hopefully Lukaku will come back strong and be a great Chelsea striker.

Liverpool does have a chance. Not because they are really good but because they are out of FA Cup and have no CL games. So they can just focus with the league. But we can see their defence is the bottleneck after the 4-3 win against sweasea. Their Sas will not score 4 goals every games so they will still drop points here and there. if we could be consistent against the small team we will win the league.

I think we have a legit chance to sign this guy now. No matter what you say, I still think we have a huge chance of winning the league with this guy up front. He might choke in big cup games but in the league his scoring form is undeniable. He can be our RVP. The guy only get 2 minutes in the final and since Lewandowski is coming to Bayern, they will probably be looking forward to selling this guy.

Congrats to Bayern. Whats good about this match is that now we won't be linked with Hummels again. The guy is overrated, he doesn't have the mentality to play in cup finals. He would be 5th choice CB if he ever comes to Chelsea. And to think a lot of us want him to replace Gary Cahill.

Mario Gomez is a decent goal poacher and I rate him as highly as Edin Dzeko. Its sad that a lot of people here just look down on Gomez after what happened in the Final last year. I remembered last season when Iva and Bosingwa were out and AVB had to play Ferreira in the league game against Tottenham. Paulo had Gareth Bale in his pocket and was included in the all star team of that week. The guy is class, never complains but is always prepared to play. He is not like FloMo or Winston Bogarde.

Most of the news at the moment simply mention Falcao with Monaco and not Chelsea. I think Falcao is a lost cause. We should go for Cavani now. If Cavani goes to City, go for Lewandowski. If Lewa goes to Bayern, then sign Edin Dzeko and Mario Gomez and rotate them with Demba Ba. Offload Torres and loan Lukaku.

Wigan and Atletico's win has given me a huge believe that Bundeschoker might flop once again versus Dortmund. Sad to see so many of us that are afraid of Bayern. Now everyone seems to be afraid of Bayern just like they were afraid of Barca a year ago. We are Chelsea and we don't fear anyone. just read the news and it seems every single person in the MU board agrees to appoint Moyes. weird, in my opinion Moyes is a bit like our Tinkerman Ranieri, good at team management but sucks at winning major trophies, would be shocked if he actually could win a PL or CL if he comes to chelsea abramovich would sack him after 3 months

Essien games have improved slowly and slowly since join Madrid. I have to thank Mou for that. We should have him back next season. He can play RB if Azpi/Ivanovic got injured and can play CDM as well. To be honest, I want Essien in the starting 11 instead of Mikel next season, if we can't buy a quality CM.

Our only hope in this game is to park the bus like we did last year in the CL, and put Ba up front. At least we have a chance of a rematch, or Ba/Ramires to produce some magic like last year and we come to Wembley again.

Rafa's tactics looks solid. The forwards are told to press up high meaning the Monterrey defenders and keeper have to punt it forward long ball style; but Chelsea have such tall centrebacks that they win the ball back with ease; David Luiz in midfield along with Mikel adds a lot of height to the side. Happy to see the old Chelsea back. Corinthians players are physically the same as Monterrey. If we have the likes of Drogba and Malouda again we would tear them apart next game, what a pity.

Barca still seems to have no answer against the bus tactics, if we meet them again we can just use our last year tactics with Moses up front we can beat them 2-0. Juventus won today but if Inter beat them 3-1 at their home then so can we!! Call me too optimistic lol.

it seems like with Di Matteo we are pretty lucky with cups games aren't we? Last minute goal in the league cup, now last minute goal in the champions league... don't forget last year FA Cup and CL too!!! Hope we can be the first team to win back to back CLs.

The FA/Media/Haters can say whatever they want, but what I know for sure is tomorrow John and Ashley will be in Stamford Bridge demolishing Norwich City and help Chelsea stay top of the table in the Premier League.

Chelsea is the only hope of English football this season. Di Matteo really has a knack of the cup games. By the way, Malaga has been pretty awesome. If they manage to finish top four in La Liga and reach the round 2 of CL they will pretty much have the money to solve the mess left by the Arabs.
